Nostos Hotel

We stayed at this hotel in August 2006 for two weeks, the accommodation was for 2 sharing, the room had a double bed (as requested) a fridge and TV, with air conditioning and room safe (local charge) adequate storage for clothing and separate shower with toilet and basin again, adequate size.
The accommodation bright and welcoming, the cleanliness and up keep of the rooms was faultless with daily maid service and frequent towel change. The cleanliness of the complex also superb.
The swimming pool and dining area very relaxing with stunning views of the crystal clear sea below, shaded dining areas provided at split levels for those wanting to retire from the direct sun.
The small shingle beach below is reached via the very steep winding steps that lead off from the dining area, the trek downwards is not so bad but effort and a few breaks may be needed for the return climb! Don’t be put off once you get use to it, it is a great way to walk along the shingle and stone coast to the nearby beaches and town. The water is crystal clear and once past the small area of smooth rocks there is nothing but sandy floors and warm clear water.
The service and staff at Nostos were again superb, a warm friendly atmosphere and very accommodating, helpful staff.
Unfortunately the pool bar closes earlier than is expected but most likely for all the right reasons and therefore the later parts of the night at Nostos are very quiet.
Nostos is ideal for couples and families wanting a tranquil holiday, situated off the main road and with relaxing walking distance to both towns either way.
Our only observation for improvement....the breakfast and tea bags! Change the spam to ham and the local tea bags to a good brand, the Nostos then becomes faultless!
Our best stay in Greece yet!
