El Cortijo Apartments

I would recommend this holiday to anyone who is after a relaxing holiday and who is open to meeting people.
I went to these apartments last year with my 20yr old sister and 2yr old nephew. I, myself was 15 at the time.
As the hotel is small and friendly, it is easy to meet people and make friends. The hotel is sc, so I would recommend Charlie’s bar [a 5 min walk] if you are looking for a 'clubbing' holiday, and the quiet cocktail bar at the end of the road, which includes a safe play area if you have children.
There is also a restaurant next to Charlie’s which I can't remember the name of, that is a must go. We ate there mostly every night, with the family we met there that also had a small child, and the 2 English boys that we're 20.
The resort as a whole is brilliant, with many activities on the beach, including a pedelo, which allows you to roam the sea safely. The beach is spotless and with the local shops only meters away, it is in an ideal location.
The rooms were a fair size, as we only used it as a base. They are clean and hygienic, and the maid service was satisfactory.
The bar staff and hotel management, gave us a friendly welcome after arriving at 4:30 am. They always seemed happy and willing to help.
The only negative aspect was that with AI and HB hotels so nearby, it was easy to hear the entertainment. This made me a bit jealous, as it sounded exciting and fun.
However, with the right people, this holiday has the potential to be great. =)
I look forward to returning to the resort and maybe the hotel, when I’m old enough to go alone.

Top floor apartments the best as you get a huge private terrace. Room itself was well equipped with full cooker and all cooking equipment needed. Huge wardrobe space and ironing board/iron provided.
Didn’t spend much time by the pool as traveled about the island mostly but apartments situated close to beach, shops and restaurants. Great place to stay, food reasonable, lots of shops selling same things etc. Hippy Market on Wednesdays is a must as lots of handmade jewelry and clothes.
Es Cana is a good base and the buses are cheap to other local resorts which all have stunning beaches. Would recommend the walk to Santa Eulalia which takes about 2 hours if you stop to take in the scenery and swim along the way. Great Holiday.

We have recently stayed at the El Cortijo which is ok. Only short distance from Sea Front and Town area.
The apartment is well stocked with all the facilities you need, however it is classed as family friendly, but I would not let my son go into the bar area as it was full of drunken middle aged men who watched horse racing all day.
The pool area is small but clean enough. The maid service left al lot to be desired, you only caught fleeting glances of the maids and they were sloppy with their cleaning. However it is not all bad.
