Only had a one night stay (Saturday) but was impressed by the friendly attitude of the staff and although rather small, the quality of the room. We stayed on the third floor wih a great view of the sea. As it was November it was a turkey & tinsel weekend so we joined-in with the other guests well into the Christmas spirit. This meant turkey & Christmas pudding but it was great. Entertainment was a duo, keyboard & singer, so we had a sing-along and those that could dance had a good time. Full English breakfast was very good. We had a swim in the indoor pool which we had to ourseves as we went as soon as we had checked-in. As I say the only slight downside was the small room, but it was cleanly decorated and the bathroom had modern fittings. TV only had terestrial channels. We would definately go here again.

Been on ladies festivals there many times. Took an American friend there once and that cost me the friendship. Only kept coming back to support the Lodge.
The room I had this year had a hole in the wall. Wallpaper peeling off and soiled, bathroom trim damaged, dirty grubby carpets. Towels smelling musty. Disgusting. TV in a semi wrecked state with handset batteries held in by duct tape.
The Friday evening meal vegs were near uncooked.
The breakfast scrambled eggs were made from whole eggs, shells and all.
The main course of the festival dinner was well on its way to drying.
The prices from the same bar on checkout for the same round were different.
Checkout was at 10-30. From about 9-30 had room service knocking on door to see if we were out yet.
The Barman refused to serve one member, saying he was too busy. They whole of the staff gave the impression that they were just going through the motions and would sooner we were not there.
The whole place appears to suffer from totally incompentent management.
The only good thing was that the hotel next door, which they own also and to which it is now linked appears worse.

The hotel is in need of a major refurb, It's really old fashioned.
The room was not soundproofed - could hear the man in the room above use the toilet EVERY night and hear people walk past our room all the time.Very annoying.
Tiles in bathroom were falling off and carpet not laid correctly - could see the floorboards! And didnt like the fact the window was right next to the shower, even thought it was frosted glass, it still put me off!!
The meals were'nt very adequate.
The bar is too expensive. Cost almost £10 for a pint of coke, JD and coke and 2 packets of crisps!!
Evening 'entertainment' is okay if you're over 50.
Could smell cigarette smoke in the corridors on more than a few occasions.
Room service is way too overpriced.
The only plus' is that the location is great, right near the beach. Also, the pool is okay even though there were ants...

Bournemouth is great if the weather is nice,. The beach is sandy and there are lots of attractions to keep you entertained: boat rides, fair ground, good places to eat etc.
This hotel is grand, the room we stayed in had a great view of the sea and there was a pool to keep the kids happy.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall very good for families but not cheap.
Food was ok but better to eat outside.

Went to this hotel as part of a family celebration. As a dog owner it's always a struggle to find somewhere that allows pets, but this hotel have some rooms in an annexe that you can bring pets into. The rooms overlooking the sea have a stunning view, and there is a (very) heated indoor pool. The food was generally unexciting, but then if it's not curried then I'm generally not interested.
The staff were a bit inconsistent, bending over backwards to help us one minute (they offered to move us in advance of a potential noise problem), but on another occasion they agreed to let us keep a room for a bit longer (to keep the dogs in) but then changed their minds. This last event left a bit of a sour taste, but overall the accommodation was good.

We stayed in the cottages to the left of the bay view main hotel(still the bay view for my hen weekend.
The place was old, creepy and needed updated.
All rooms had no heating to start with and mine did t have any for the whole weekend.
There is mould in every crack, crees and corner.
Stains on the wall that looked like human excrement.
My sisters room had constant flies. Dead ones hanging around as well
A male cleaner visiting the building a 3am "to get the hoover" whats that all about.
The placed was nicknamed the Vicarage by us lot.
