If it’s a quiet holiday that you want, then this is the place to come. My wife and I have been coming here for the last seven years. Have got to know lots of the locals, we stay in the Litsa apartments, booked independently with Yannis for three weeks.
Plenty of tavernas to choose from; all very reasonable, and good food. Try the "Bella Venetsia". The owner is the spit of Tom Jones. The chill-out bar sits right on the beach owned by Yannis. Also Thasos and Tulsa’s bar next to the Hotel Australia is very relaxing to have a drink, and if you want to know all the gossip, then just ask Thassos.

Overall, a very relaxing holiday. Will keep on going back.

The Litsa apartments offer basic clean air conditioned accommodation. The Chill Out bar is located on the beach front. There are sun beds and brollies to rent at about 3 Euros a day.
The beach is lovely and clean, especially at locations directly outside tourist accommodations.
Sadly, the private apartment owners 5 mins further along the beach, near the large tree, need to clean their act up... quick. From Friday to Sunday, you can guarantee these owners (or their tenants) leave plastic bags and other items of litter around. While owners of the tourist accommodation clean up each morning.
Mind you abandoning their rubbish is about the same as abandoning their dogs (many full pedigrees). The strays are no bother, and Tasula (Iris cafe) is their saviour.
All strays have to have a collar, so if you see one pop along and let this lady know...A donation would be welcome as well, this covers food and operating on each abandoned dog so not to have/give more unwanted puppies (the collar proves this).
So, where to go....Just about anywhere. You can't walk more than 3 minutes without coming across a place to eat. Restaurants and bars are a plenty. The town is rather quiet compared to many; 10 to 16 year old may find it too quiet.
You don't have to pay for the holiday reps expensive trips; there are shops in the town offering better value for money. And, on a early clear morning look towards your right over the sea, and you'll see Mount Olympus with snow. Yammas

We have visited the Litsa and Christina apartments many times now and we have lots of friends, who visit Fourka every year sometimes 2 or 3 times a year,
The Litsa and Christina apartments are basic but are getting overhauled for the 2007 season, what more do you want from a holiday than somewhere to lay your head at night, shower and a beach, and both apartments have got them.
The restaurants are really nice you will not get a bad meal in any especially the Victoria. The owners of both apartment blocks are very friendly and will go out of there way to make sure your holiday is perfect, Yannis who owns the Litsa and Nikos & Maria who own the Christina are very friendly people. If you prefer to eat in, there is a supermarket facing and sells almost anything you can get in Tescos also next door is a butchers but alas it does not sell Black Puddings (joke Ann).
The beach is lovely and relaxing and massages are available (Lamp Oil Included). Overall I would recommend this location for anyone who just likes to chill out with fiends, the people are very friendly, locals as well as the holiday makers that attend year after year so it must have something going for it. Try it I am sure like my family and friends you will Love it.

The Litsa Apartments where very Basic. No entertainment in the Bar only a Quiz on a Thursday night run by the Thomson’s Rep. the Bar staff very Friendly he was Australian. For more entertainment u had to go to the Hotel next door they also had a lovely pool that the Litsa used as they didn’t have one. I enjoyed my holiday but it could have been a bit better.
