Although I didn’t stay in the Pamukkale Hotel I went there most nights for dinner. The food is Delicious and I wouldn't mind some of the waiters there- Alex!
I also went there for a Turkish night, the food was nice and was Turkish style. We got good service from the waiters and they are all very kind!
Now I’m not a dancer but Alex wouldn't leave it until I did dance so he pulled me up! Alex is a waiter there! Very nice, kind, funny and good looking! I'll be back next year alex. I've only come back recently so you might remember me but you saw my brother in a bar! Sarah

Goldtrail despite the bad press...

Goldtrail despite the bad press provided all they needed to satisfy our needs with on time flights good hotel transfers and good info board at the hotel, the rep appeared 4 times in the 2 weeks but we didn’t need to bother him!
The hotel rooms was small and basic but adequate and clean and with the added bonus of a TV with BBC channels, the pool far too small for the hotel with only limited sunbathing which was in the shade all morning.
Breakfast was disappointing we knew it was Turkish Style but there was absolutely no effort to make it exciting such as juice or cereal and the coffee was a cheap brand instant.
However the hotel served its purpose and was in a good location to be just far enough away from the noise of the bars but to be in easy walking distance if needed.
Our big gripe was with Altinkum itself -its become a sprawling mass of villa developments and building sites, some roads aren’t even tarmac’s-arrive in the dark or you won’t want to stay!
The entertainment hub is Dolphin Square with big brash bars and gangs of touts attempting to drag you in...it wouldn’t be so bad but each offer the same sort of music and 'entertainment' every single night-kareoke, break dancing shows and football. The characterless bars sprawl along the pedestrianised seafront none seem very appealing, however off the main drag is Chill Out bar -decidedly different and nearby Ali Babas is a good restaurant.
Another gripe is that its too English! all the signs and prices are displayed in GB£ which gets confusing if you are using TYL.
Altinkum has 3 beaches none of which are that large or clean but bathing is safe, the Didim waterpark is worth a day out although this closed Sept 30th as did several of the big night clubs.
Altinkum is for families looking for a warmer version of Blackpool or single Shirley Valentine wanabes! its characterless, dull and fairly dirty -not for me I’m afraid prefer real Turkey!
