When booking ran into a few problems; deal advertised on internet was not in fact deal on offer, we queried this with booking manager who was rude and aggressive. Hotel facilities are great but rooms were dirty (previous occupants possessions found around bed!).
No information provided prior to booking and no explanation of meals for children on arrival, which meant that we paid full child meal prices (£9.50 per meal) for our 1 year old daughter. No satisfaction from hotel manager when we raised our complaints.
The hotel is really family orientated, which is great. Lots of activities for kids but pretty expensive for a short autumn break and staff are not interested in individuals.

Located in center of Crieff nice quiet town great walks and plenty of golf courses.
Hotel fairly clean. Has two bars and a nice restaurant called m brasserie. Lounge bar could do with a lot of re-decorating and could do with some entertainment during the week.
Staff are plentiful and very friendly always speaking to you when you come in. rooms fairly small although fairly clean.
There is no lifts so you must be able to climb stairs there is a little traffic noise in the town but not much traffic at night.
Very nice quiet hotel.

Crieff Hydro Hotel is located in some of the most beautiful countryside in Scotland. It is geared particularly towards family/leisure type breaks. It has a number of different children’s clubs and a wide range of leisure facilities such as health suite and swimming pool. This means you don’t have to leave the hotel - everything is provided for you.
The food is also first class particularly the evening meals in the Meikle restaurant.
There are number of different room types, some with interconnecting rooms. The room that we had was of a high standard with all the usual facilities - tea/coffee, TV etc.
Overall we would highly recommend Crieff Hydro, although the cost is perhaps higher than other hotels, the facilities kept the kids happy!

We stayed 2 nights at Crieff Hydro and could very easily have stayed longer.
It was our first holiday with a baby and we were really surprised at how easy it was. The hotel felt very family orientated so we didn’t feel nervous about having a young unpredictable baby with us and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel had a great crèche area for older kids but we made full use of the babysitting service. At £9.00 an hour for 2 babies, it was well worth it. We had a really nice dinner in the Brassiere restaurant in peace.
We had a family room as there were no others available but it would be great for families with older children. We had a king size bed and the other interconnecting room had bunk beds and a single. The rate for the room was reasonable given that dinner was included. The room had been recently refurbished and was lovely and roomy.
We didn’t really use all the facilities but had we had more time, would have liked to. They seem to have a loads of outdoor activities from horse riding to off road driving. We did use the pool though, or the babies pool more, which was great. Once again, all very baby friendly with even a changing table down at the pool area.
The only thing that let the hotel down was the speed of service in the Brassiere. It took ages for the food to come and it didn’t always come with a smile. Food was great though as were the breakfasts.
Great hotel and great location for exploring central Scotland.

It was a last minute 2 day break for my husband and I. We stayed in the executive suite which was lovely, clean well decorated and furnished.
The fridge didn't work properly, we asked for some ice to chill our bubbly in whilst we went on a walk. I asked reception if someone would put the bottle into the ice for us and the drink would then be chilled when we arrived back from our walk. When we arrived back there was a bucket of melted ice sitting outside our room door! Not wanting to make a fuss we just go on with it. When we were checking out and on closer inspection of our final bill.. we were charged £3.50 for the melted ice... so beware!
The health spa was lovely and the food was out of this world. In the evening after dinner there wasn't much entertainment to suit us (both 40 and no children), it was aimed more at young families.
