My friend and I went on that vacation in order to relaxed from the stress that we have day today life, we arrived at midnight to the hotel they give as a room that the fridge wasn’t there, we asked for that, they promised as write away we were waiting for two hours, they call as to tell that they cant get it, the room wasn’t very inviting, the next day on the **** they didn’t explained hoe there towel works, with an adytum she give as towels, the next day she dint wont to change theme only after specific hour.

The service in the buffet restaurant was no service at all, they pass buy so many times without asking if we need to drink any thing, in the room the shower didn’t have any hot water + pressure, if you ask me I would never recommend to go there and I my self would never book this resort.

I and my boyfriend stayed here Nov 2006 for 2 weeks. We originally wanted to book a holiday to Mexico but couldn't afford it. This seemed a good alternative for a much cheaper price.

We had never been on a long haul holiday before usually going to the canaries or Spain etc. so we weren't sure what to expect for the money or how the ratings compared.

We found it quite hard to find reviews etc. as we booked it as the Globalia Punta Cana Grand so we were very apprehensive going.

It was a great first impression coming into the hotel and we were greeted with cocktails and the hotel itself looked amazing.

Rooms were fantastic. We had a vaulted ceiling with a big ceiling fan and the biggest 4 poster bed! Minibar was always stocked and rooms were immaculate.

Every day there were people tending to the hotels grounds pruning trees and evening opening coconuts for guests!

They even tended the beach, raking and cleaning every day. There are also security guards patrolling the beach every day, moving on any locals so you don't get harassed with people selling things. Either side there are little hut shops the locals have. We found them very friendly and even booked 2 fishing trips with one of them (We managed to haggle a good price)

Sea fishing was the only trip we did. The sea never looks very choppy here as it is surrounded by a reef, so if you decide to take this trip please be advised on the weather as we were very sea sick due to the high waves! It didn't stop my partner booking again though!

The food is fantastic! Loads of choice and the other restaurants make a nice change, but don't forget to book your reservation in advance. We particularly enjoyed the Italian, but couldn't fault any of them.

Please don't forget to tip the staff, as you will be surprised at how low the wages are here.

Definitely somewhere I will return. Amazing value for money.

This is the 3rd year running that we have spent our summer vacation at Sunscape the Beach.

We were amazed to find that the resort just gets better and better each visit. The rooms are beautifully designed with large, comfortable beds, fully stocked mini-bars and satellite TV.

The maid service is excellent and our room was always spotless with fresh towels every night.

The facilities are excellent and include a huge pool that is more like a river, there is plenty of shade available and you can always find a seat both at the pool or on the beach. There is a fully organised kids club that is exceptionally well run and organised.

All the restaurants are excellent and once again the waiters cannot do enough for you. One bonus is you don't have to book any of them just simply turn up. There are plenty of bars that stock international branded spirits etc.

All the staff are amazing and really put themselves out to make sure you have the very best holiday.

I could write a book about Sunscape and how great it is. Do yourself a favour and book a holiday there now!!!!!!!!!!

I and my family went to this Spanish speaking country a few days ago for two weeks. We stayed at the Globalia Punta Cana Grand (also known as the Grand Oasis Punta Cana grand.)

The holiday was really relaxing. The complex was big and really lovely. There are a lot of facilities, however, there is not a lot to do. It is a very 'sit by the pool and beach' holiday. Great for a calm and relaxing holiday.

I did read a lot of the reviews before we went, and most of them were bad. But I don't know why. I read that you couldn't get much hot water, but the water is fine. (As long as you don't drink their tap water-bottled water is fine.) We thought that we wouldn't be able to have ice, but the ice is perfectly alright.

You can't really go out of your complex, but we went to the animal adventure park on an excursion, and to the town in a taxi that a rep sorted out for us. That was fun, but you do have to be careful. We went snorkelling in the sea which was good, and we spotted a golden spotted eel.

The food and drink was lovely. There was a choice of a buffet restaurant, an Italian, an American grill or a seafood restaurant. We didn't go to the seafood because we're not that keen, but the others were really nice.

The weather is REALLY hot, but you don't feel too hot in the day because you're in the pool or the sea. My Dad and brother went quad biking, and if you do go quad biking while you're there, make sure you wear sunglasses, because it's very muddy and dusty.

Some people got bitten, but not really badly. When we were there, it rained once and that was a storm, but that was it. The rest of the time the weather was beautiful.

My Dad and brother got ear infections while we were there because of dirty water in the pool because of all of the chemicals. So make sure you don't go under water too much.

The sea is the best bet. Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday.

We stayed in the Punta Cana grand hotel in Jan 2007 and it was gorgeous the best holiday we have had by far. On arriving we were greeted with a cocktail while we checked in, our luggage was taken to our room for us which was a relieve.

The hotel ground are very well looked after as well as the rooms they were spacious and very clean, there was a mini bar in our room which was stocked up daily. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The restaurants were also very very good I would recommend the Italian al a carte was amazing we visited that one twice while we were there we tried all the restaurants and they were all very good.

The buffet restaurant was also very good serving fresh fish and meats each day and there was lots of variety to choose from and us having a five year old to fed isn’t always easy but he loved most things in there.

The entertainment from the hotel was equally as good, entertaining both young and old throughout the day and well into the night.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a fully relaxing holiday by the beach and barley lift a finger for anything not even a drink

A perfect holiday enjoyed by us all.

We actually stayed at the hotel in 2004 (Oct to Nov) and thought it was actually very nice.

The beach BBQ on the first week was lovely! Then sat on beach and watched storm coming in!

Rooms were large and spacious and we had an end of block room, so had larger balcony which went around the corner so had partial sea view.

Only complaint is with the Mexican/steak grill restaurant. Order chicken quesadillas once and had tuna in. I don't eat fish, so not nice and really put me off. Needless to say didn't order again.

Evening entertainment little lame and never actually made it to the disco/piano bar as so tired from the heat!

Daily entertainment was something for everyone and swim up bar absolutely heaven. Board games to play if you want them!

Finally, beach perfecto. When we were there had bouncy trampoline in the water which was great if you could get on it!

We did the speed boat trip, and when to manti park for the dolphin swimming which I bottled out of.

On the whole lovely hotel and friendly staff. My only tip is make sure your booking does not co-in-side with a Dominican bank holiday as you will be overrun with locals who get priority at the bars!
