i actually stayed in the hotel saturn first in 1985 and way back then they charged for sunbeds but surprise surprise little or no one took them up on the offer most went to the beach which was only a 5 min walk away ,close by was a lovely fishing village ,nessabar which had n
mainly fish restaraunts i found the people to be lovely and the beach exceptionally clean ther used to be an old ship on the beach which was made into a restaraunt and a windmill a few kms ways that had been converted and served great chicken and chips would i go back again probably not because there would have been too much change now ,although not too much .bulgaria,sunny beach and the saturn are well worth a try

Hotel Saturn is in the perfect location in Sunny Beach and is near to all amenities, bars, restaurants and excursions. It is within a very pleasant one minute walk/stroll to the beach.
Although the hotel was clean and rooms cleaned everyday with towels and linen changed every two days, it isn’t the most modern of hotels and some maintenance is needed, e.g. the bathroom shelving in our room was falling off and the shower curtain looked ready for falling down!!!
The staff were all very friendly and always happy to help with any problems or questions.
The breakfast was interesting, the usual eggs, bread, cereal, then there was salads and cream cakes!!!! Lots of choice though and plenty of it.
One thing that irritated me slightly is that this hotel does charge you for use of the sun loungers and I also think for the swimming pool, (we never used it), which considering I had paid to stay at this hotel was pretty annoying. I did notice some other hotels around the resort did not charge guests in their hotels for these "extras"!!! However this wasn’t a major issue since the beach was so near we went sunbathing there instead.
However, the one main reason why I wouldn’t stop at this hotel again is the noise. I have never stopped in a hotel in either the UK or abroad, that was so noisy. The outside noise from the clubs and bars is okay, that wasn’t the problem, it was guests at the hotel, who had a need to slam and bang room and lift doors as loudly as they could and shout as loudly as they could. The laugh was there are signs in the hotel telling guests to keep levels of noise down after 11pm and that there is no noise allowed between 2am and 4am, otherwise a fine of £50 could be incurred. This however deterred no-one as it seemed that 3am was considered best for making as much noise as possible.
All in all if Hotel Saturn modernised or at the very least improved maintenance and solved the noise level issues it would be the perfect hotel to stay in Sunny Beach, unfortunately it lets itself down due to these issues.

Just back from a weeks Holiday and stayed in Barcelo. Hotel, grounds and room where 5*+ staff service, pool areas were also great, pool very cold though but good to cool you down once you were in. Sun beds were easy to come by and no one fighting over them, plenty for the size of hotel and lots of umbrellas available.
The only fault to this holiday was we went half board and ate in once, the food was not cooked well, meat we lifted from the buffet was rare, looked like we had lifted it from a butchers shop when u cut into it, was vile. Not enable, we ate cold pizza and chips that night. They do not seem to eat meals as warm as we do. We ate out every other day and found it very reasonable. Would defiantly go back to Barcelo Royal Beech hotel but self catering/room only.
We had an amazing holiday Overall.
