First time to Croatia and it won't be the last. What a wonderful place to visit. I have never come back from a holiday so relaxed. People are so friendly and the hotel was so clean and the food top rate. Also very cheap prices when you went out.
Hotel Amfora has aircon and we also had a balcony with a sea view which was to die for. Buffet meals with something for everyone. 1 swimming pool and 1 baby pool. beach a stones throw away and safe to swim in.
The staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly I would give them 10 out of 10
The Thomson reps called Sherlie and Marja were so friendly and full of good advice.
The trip to Venice is a must at 525 kuna (£50). All that is included is a guide and you have a choice of a special tour, 2 different lunch's, gondola ride and taxi boat ride. But I would advise you not to pay for a meal but just take a stroll down one of the back streets and buy a pizza for 2 euros or a restaurant as the price of the meals they were selling were 13 euros and 19 euros and we were told by people who had them that they were microwave.
The hotel also packed a breakfast for us to take on the trip with a cold plate waiting in our room on our return. You must tell them the night before that you are going on a trip so that they can prepare it for you.
We also took a taxi boat ride and the special tour which takes you around the parts of Venice that the tourists do not go to.
Another thing to remember is that they sell souvenirs on the return ride back which range from 3 euros to 10 and are very reasonably priced (little face masks, various things made of Marano glass, DVDs of Venice etc. Also don’t forget duty free.
When I visit again I will book the other trips on offer as they look so good.
