We have visited Amsterdam on a number of occasions but because of the difficulty in parking in the centre we decided to opt for a hotel on the outskirts. We couldn’t have wished for a better hotel. We chose bed and breakfast. The buffet breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice including bacon, egg, sausage etc. and of course continental breakfasts. The hotel has a large car park, which only cost 8 euros per day to park. The rooms were above average with TV, fridge, safe etc. The best thing for us was that the hotel was just a 2 minute walk from the tram terminus where trams left every 10 minutes from very early in the morning (too early for us) until midnight. A pleasant 15 minute journey into the centre of Amsterdam

It is a great holiday for a group of friends how like a good night life, attractive people and who generally like to have a good tine in coffee bars.
The is many things that you can do in Amsterdam such a get high, visit the Heineken brewery and the red light district.
It is a cheap place to visit, we stayed for a week and the accommodation with flights cost just under £150 each. Flights were return by easy jet.

"Hotel five minutes away from city centre", not bad for a last minute Christmas trip to Amsterdam.
I'm not sure by what travel method they meant but, it took me 20 minutes on a tram, I was a bit disappointed until, I got further into the tram journey, winter in Amsterdam, it was surreal, I could see my breath in front of me, but I soon warmed up with the atmosphere of the place.
It was lovely, the ice rink, the traditional Christmas decorations and stalls of warm inviting pastries.
I will never forget my weekend in Amsterdam, The people are lovely, the place is lovely, Don't believe all you hear about it, I've saw more shocking sights on a night out in Glasgow than I did in Amsterdam.
