Arrived at Ozukara II at 6am turkish time and were treated brilliantly by the staff, who carried all our bags to our rooms as we checked in. The prices for air con were a bit steep but a must in Turkey in July and August. We were a group of five young girls and found the staff very friendly and welcoming and helpful in terms of guiding us through our holiday. The rooms were basic but clean, tidy and spacious. The pool was lovely and clean and the view was fantastic. The location of the apartments was fantastic, close to the beach and bar street but not right on top of the noise. The was a fairly steep hill to the apartments, maybe not overly suitable to families with small children and pushchairs but otherwise lovely. Would definately recommend it.

just back from my holiday in gumbet and I loved it. we went to gumbet on a family holiday and it was nice but i would reccomend it more to a 18-30's/hen or stag weekend as the restarunts and bars got vey jumpy and loud at around 11 o'clock. The ozurkara apartment were fine couldnt complain we got a lovely apartment at the top of the first apartment block just beside the pool and terraced bar the reception sold us a safty deposit box,AC and we gave a 20 euro deposit too. Little bit annoyed that after we bought the AC for the master bedroom we were asked for another 20 euro for the use of the second AC in the other bedroom...we refused and just turned it on anyway but the wool was well and truly above the managments eyes because they kept our deposit. the bar staff on the other hand were lovely and friendly and john the barman came and sat with us at the end of the night when we watched the 19.00 world cup ties and was v.friendly did feel so sorry for his assistant who was only about 15 years old who worked from 8am until late (when everyone left) john would get a break,go for a smoke and watch the tv in the bar but his assistant (couldnt pronounce his name but i called him emmet) never got a minute and would be too shy to sit down with anyone and didnt have much english anyway but did speak as much as he could (always tipped him well) and just a tip for anyone going to gumbet everything in the resort (aka down bar street) is fake even if the shop assistance tell you otherwise (which they will) including the pandora shop beside the windmill restaurant is also fake but they witll still chage full whack (I watched as a woman spent 180 tl on two necklaces) but ask your rep and they will tell you about the oasis center where everything is authentic :D felt sorry for all the kids of about 15 yrs of age who were working 14+ hours a day but i loved my holiday and would recommend gumbet but the 4 hour flight on a thomas cook (a cramped thomas cook flight i may add) way uncomferable

basically dont ver stay in either ozukara, hnestly i have never stayed anywere where the staff are so rude and unelpful. our door handle broke, out windoe broke, our apartment was never cleaned and our ash ray never cleaned, our tap broke so our hotel room was flooded, we didnt have a plug, 3 light bulbs broke, some of our food went'missing' from our fridge and they ried to charge our friend tripple what we paid to stay with us for 2 weeks when it only cost them an extra pair of sheets. they were childish and ner once helped us, we have ben disguted by heir behaviour that we urge no one t stay with them and find other better paces to stay if possible. we have stayed in a couple of places out in gumbet probably alka being the best and we honestly dont think t is worth anyones money or trouble to stay here.

had an absolutely amazing time in gumbet. we're four young girls, went for a bit of nite life but not 18-30's or anything and thought it was perfect. the rooms were were basic, but perfect for what we wanted, theres enough kitchen stuff that u can eat out of ur apartment or go out for dinner whicvh was pretty affordable prices. the windmill restaurant was really good food. if you wanna go out at nite coz to bar street and club X, things don't get started till about one in the morning so don't be put off....
the staff at the apartments we really friendly, the rooms were cleaned everyday with clean towels and sheets most days...
over all would really recommmend it to anyone.
also check out the turkish baths but make sure you book through your rep as tghey are the best ones

This was my 5th time back to Gumbet, and my friends 9th, but our 1st stay in Ozukara 2. We found the apartment had everything we needed but was way down in the basement, so not much natural light got in. We were asked did we want the air conditioning, and we were interested until we found out the price, it is over £100 for 2 weeks, so we didnt get it. They would make a lot more money on it by lowering the prices. The guy we spoke to at reception didnt seem to have a clue what he was doing half the time. The pool is quite nice, only for the music constantly blaring in your ear, not the place to lie when you want to relax and have a chat. My boyfriend arrived over for the last week, and had booked online. He had specifically requested a room with a balcony, as we were in the basement, and to my suprise when i checked into our room, it was even lower below ground than the other room. The reception staff said there was a terrace (full of ants), didnt care and refused to change the room, there was also ants running around the table, so they just sent the maids down to clean them away! The maids were superb and left lovely designs on the bed, and were really friendly girls. I wouldnt stay here again, as it just seemed like once you had paid in advance for the room, the staff couldnt care less whether you enjoy your stay or not. I have stayed in the Sunpoint apartments before and it was excellent.

Stayed for a week at Ozukara Apartments II, (which is up the hill from the other Ozukara Apartments I), 25 May to 1 June 2008.
The hotel is very clean and rather stylish for a 3-star place. Lovely pool and bar area, where meals are available. The staff are helpful and friendly, even if their English is limited. Apartments are basic, but clean and comfortable. What more could anyone want?
Well, although the tv in our room had only BBC World News in English, there are a couple of channels that play American shows and films with Turkish subtitles. Maybe they could move the satellite dish to find alternative channels. TV isn't everything, but as the weather was very hot (42C), it was nice to sit indoors some of the time and relax without getting too sunburnt!
Plenty of shops nearby to get the groceries for your self-catering holiday.
Restaurants along the length of the beach offer lots of choice, though you should try the Windmill Restaurant and Bar at the bottom of the hill from the hotel, opposite "Bar Street" - from here, you can watch the nightlife from a vantage point, served by charming waiters.

This was our first holiday to Turkey and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The apartments are clean and the maid service was excellent.
The management was friendly and helpful; the pool area was a relaxing place to spend the days. Although positioned on a steep incline the centre of Gumbet is just a five minute walk away.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone going to Gumbet, you could not find a better place to stay.

I would recommend the Ozukara 11 apartments to anyone visiting Gumbet in Turkey.
The accommodation was fantastic. Apartments on arrival were spotless and cleaned every couple of days. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although only a 5min walk from bar street it was far enough away not to hear a sound from the apartments.
I have stayed in other apartments in Gumbet but none compared to the Ozukara.
Gumbet it self is brilliant, fantastic restaurants especially the Columbia where you can get the best steak in Gumbet.
The boat trip is fantastic value for money, around £8 to £10 per person and that includes lunch and about four stops.
I would recommend the Jeep safari's again fantastic value for me and a great day out, lunch included; you get to see a part of turkey which is untouched by tourists.
I would rate this holiday 11/10 for accommodation, staff, nightlife, restaurants and trips. Can’t wait to go back.

I only give a 4/10 as the apartments were gorgeous, clean and modern as they are only a year old. The bar staff are friendly and helpful but the reception and managerial staff have are lacking a lot in manners. The safe deposit boxes are in the apartments. We paid for one only to be broken into while we slept and all our money taken.
The rep said she had never heard of this happening before!!! She must have forgotten the other 3 the same week we were there. The bar staff said this is a normal occurrence. Since then we have found out (via the internet) that this has been happening since the apartments opened but still Airtours are sending people there and seem to be shocked when holidaymakers report theft. We were left for 3 days without money by the reps and apartment staff.
I only thank God we have gone to Gumbet for 5 years and have friends who looked after us. If this had been my first Turkish experience I am afraid it would be the last.

Arrive here early hours in the morning and staff carried our bags to our rooms which was all the way at the bottoms of the stairs ( killer during the day going up and down them to get in and out), 3 of us went (aged 18 and 19 girls) we where meant to stay here for 2 weeks but after our 2nd night we hated it and phoned thomas cook for a transfer to a different hotel, they where great as they got us a different hotel without having to pay any extra, on our 2nd night we arrived home about 6 in the morning and as we had male friends over at the same time as us the staff didnt seem to like that and would never let them on the complax (they stayed at a different hotel), on arriving home the first night 1 of our friends was really drunk and when we got to the hotel they wouldnt let our male friends carry her back to the room which was all the way downstairs, and the started kicking our friends, then on the second night after arriving back at 6 in the morning one of our male friends walked us back to the appartments and as we left him a member of staff went and chased him and when we got to the bottom of the stairs we heard him screaming for help but when looked over wall he was away so wasnt sure if it was him until next morning when we heard he had been taken to hospital after being found outside the uni-med in the morning, we immediatly phoned thomas cook and within a few hours went back to the appartments for the last time and collected our stuff, would NEVER go back
