My sister and I,and three children, two aged 11, one 16 year old, went to Cambrils park for Easter 2005. We stayed in a Haven mobile home. The two reps were great, giving us tips on how to get about and places to go. The staff at the information desk were quite good to, but... more

Stayed for 2 weeks at Cambrils Bungalows with my partner, we're both in our mid twenties. It was a cheap late deal and we thought it looked a bit different! Accomodation: Great, lots of room, great bathroom and we actually had 2 bedrooms to choose from! Good cooking... more

We have been to this site 3 times now and every time we have had a lovely time, whether you take your own caravan, stay in a static or a ready built tent. We enjoyed it... This year we stayed in a static van, hoping to book again for next year through Siblu, but sadly... more

This is a fantastic site for families. The kids can roam about the site and its so secure you dont have to worry about them getting up to no good. The pool and sports facilities are great too. We were unlucky with the weather as it rained most of the week but the bungalows... more

Just returned from Cambrils park and overall had a great time. The site itself is pretty big and there is quite a lot to do. My kids are 6,7 and 8 and although they had a good time they did think the kids club wasn't up to much. And you have to pay for it. The pools at... more

Hi, I stopped in these bungalows May 07 till June 07 and its the worst holiday I've ever been on. There was a snake by the pool and lizard in my bedroom, if I was stopping here again I would rather fly back home then stop in these bungalows. My children were scared of the... more

Great for families with young children
We have been here twice now staying in the bungalows and have really enjoyed both visits. We went in September last year when the site was much quieter and went at the end of May/early June this year when there was more going on. The campsite is very clean, plenty of facilities (shop, internet access, laundrette, restaurant, cafe, two pools, crazy golf, tennis etc). The kids pool is very good. Service at the restaurant is slow but the food is good and very reasonably priced. It is walking distance to both Salou and Cambrils if you are used to walking or there is a bus service running to both town every 20-30 mins. There are pubs and restaurants within close walking distance. My one gripe is the walk to the main road, there is no foot path. It is the only thing I would change about this campsite. Like another reviewer we fly Ryanair to Reus and got a taxi to the campsite (about €30). We booked the campsite direct and had a wonderful and reasonably priced holiday.
Loved Cambrils
Just got back from Cambrils yesterday and absolutely loved it!!! So much so, we have just booked again to go back next year!!! We stayed with Siblu in their Elegance 3 bedroom caravan and it was good. Right near the amenities on site. The site itself was immaculate with plenty to do. I would have to recommend this site to anybody & everybody.
Cambrils PArk not for Teens
A bit disappointed: probably a good site for families with young children, but made no attempt to cater for teens. This is a huge site, with a lot of touring spaces which were not nearly full when we were there, and yet the swimming pool facilities were stretched to capacity, with sunloungers crammed up against each other. There was a separate very attractive pool for children. We stayed with Eurocamp in a caravan, and the pitch was very small with no privacy and was not pleasant to sit outside. The other tour operators were similarly positioned. The bungalows belonging to the park, and the touring spaces, were much more pleasantly situated. The first disappointment was that Cambrils Park is not in Cambrils at all, is much nearer to Salou, and not within walking distance of either (with children). it is a shortish but unpleasant walk to the beach: a busy road and across the railway line. The on site restaurant is very reasonable, as are the supermarket and bakery. The evening entertainment was awful apart from the Salsa night, but maybe we were just before the high season? Watching one's own children perform may have a certain attraction: watching other people's children perform for an entire evening palls a little as entertainment. The park needs to provide more shade at the swimming pool, as it was obvious families were struggling with young children in the sun. The march of the towels began at eight am, and it was hard to blame people with children who were trying to claim some of the few loungers in the shade. There were always lifeguards at the pool. The area for relaxing around the pool needs to be much larger: perhaps some of the nice shaded areas near the pool given over to camping could be given over to gardens for relaxing? Having said all of this, it appeared that other people, maybe the ones with little children who were happy with a completely self-contained holiday, loved the place.
Booked again for next year
We are two weeks back to the rain and wind after a wonderful 9 night holiday in the bungalows at Cambrils Park. We stayed there last year in July but found early June much better. Less crowds and not so hot!!! Our four children aged 19 yrs to 9 yrs were with us and the bungalows still had plenty of room. The facilities on site are excellent and the idea of being able to bbq some nights and just chill out is wonderful. Restaurants in Cambrils town are very good and if you like sea food they are not to be missed. They also cater very well for younger children. Port Aventura is definitely worth a visit but a day is not enough to do everything. Looking forward to our stay next year which we have already booked before we left.
Great holiday year after year
We have 3 children from 5 yrs to 13 yrs. Excellent site, very clean, have been caravaning for 13 years and this is the best. Security 2nd to none. Very very clean, 1st time we have used the public showers (normally use caravan one). pitches big, pools great, entertainment is varied. Short walk to the beach, supermarket (even though a not too expensive one on site) and many shops. Loads to do on site and off. Back again this year, kids would dream of going anywhere else (and we were the people that couldnt believe people went back to the same place twice with a big wide world!). Give it a go.
Lovely family holiday village
We have just spent a great week at Cambrils Park in one of the bungalows, and I would highly recommend this as a holiday village for families. We booked directly on their website, which seemed a lot cheaper than going through direct holidays / canvas etc - and as Reus airport is a 20 minute drive away, combined with our bargain Ryanair flight, it was a very reasonable break. We have 6 year old twin boys, who loved the park - the pool complexes, waterslides, football pitches, kids club area, trampolines etc. The walk to the beach is to be believed and was the only real downside: a treacherous walk on a narrow, busy road (no pavement) followed by crossing a traintrack and another busy road - really unsafe. We tended to go out in the car to nearby Cambrils beach. Bungalows are clean, simple, reasonably well equipped but not luxurious, just what we like. We didn't go to much of the evening entertainment, but our kids loved the polynesian show where all the kids got on the stage to dance. Sadly we missed Bony M who were allegedly playing on Saturday night! We really enjoyed Caribe waterpark at Portaventura, but beware of the many hidden rip-offs there. It's not cheap to get into and then you have to queue and pay for locker keys (a ridiculous 4e for a tiny locker) lounger hire, rubber ring hire (which you need for some of the rides and is an additional 5 or 8 e), so the whole day can cost an additional 25 e, never mind if you haven't brought your sandwiches and need to queue for food!
Fantastic time had by all
I have just returned from cambrils park on the 22nd may 2007. It was fantastic. I travelled with my mum dad and boyfriend and although the park is very family orientated it was still great for us. It is spotless and beautiful and has great facillities. The weather was perfect and to be honest two weeks just wasn';t enough. We stayed in the bugalows which were baisic but lovely.
fantastic site for families
we have just returned from a week at cambrils park over easter. Site great loads to do for kids {7 + 11}, sporting activities arranged by site every morning from basketball to minigolf to darts! Swimming pools looked great, couldnt go in as weather so awful, rain torrential! Well stocked shop, bakery and large modern bar, lovely campsite restaurant. Looked to be mainly a touring site, not many static caravans. We booked with siblu, very disappointed as booked top range caravan and got something quite shabby, reps said it was pot luck as there were new ones, we didnt get one! Canvas and Eurocamp were much better. Haven reps most useless we have come across in years of camping, no local knowledge, hardly ever available. The only downside to the position of caravans is the road noise at night, bring ear plugs! But a well maintained site in a great location near beach, one of the best weve stayed at.
cambrils park camping with eurocamp
if you have never tried camping before and fancy giving it a go you can organise your own ryan air flight and book yourself into either a tent or caravan at this first class site i have arranged to go back their again with my mum and daughter and friend and we have managed to get flights for £80 each return and the caravan for £600 so for under £1000 we have got a weeks holiday for 4 portaventura is a must its absolutly everything you would expect from a universal owned theme park we paid £38 for a 7 day pass through a really good site and it was magical the kids and the adults alike thought it was superb!
Best Caravan Park we've stayed at
This is a caravan site that I would recomend to everybody who want to spend some time in Spain. We were worried at first as we wern't arriving until 3.00am in the morning however the security guard had our details and met us at reception and then took us on a golf buggy to our caravan as the park gates are closed at that time in the morning. The park is of a good size and has a mix of Static Caravans, Tents and Mobile home pitches. The site has two superb pools one large one that was near then main bar and entertainment area, and another with different facilities, each pool had slides, fountains and paddling pools for toddlers. The on site facilities were reasonably cheap and not much more exspensive than the nearest hypermarket. Alcohol was extremely cheap and be prepared to eats lots of French sticks and croissants. The beach was a short walk away and Cambrils and Salou were only a 5 minute drive in opposite directions. Port Aventura was only a 10 minute drive and a good place to visit with the kids however not much for them to do if they are under 1m 20. We visited out of season in May so the pools were very quite and sometimes the kids were the only ones in, however they were a little cold at first. We were told that August in main season was a bad time to go as it got very busy and the pools were alway full. I weould give this site top marks and definately go back again.
