this hotel is wonderful. the staff are the friendliest i have ever come across and cannot do enough for you. on check in we were given fresh orange as we waited for our room because we arrived early. the rooms are beautifully clean, the breakfast and evening meals were really good and there was lots of choice. something for everybody. once again the restaurant staff were so friendly and also efficient. we stayed for four nights and i wish we had booked for a lot longer. the hotel is well appointed for the marina and also for a walk into torremolinos. would definitely stay at the puerto marina again. give it a try and you will not be disappointed.

I needed to get away for a few days and booked this hotel for mid November for 4 days. I didn’t know what to expect as I have not been to Spain before. The taxi fare from Malaga airport to this hotel costs 20 - 25 euros, and the taxi drivers don’t speak any English, however when I got to the hotel I was largely impressed.
The manager on reception took my details and gave me my room key, and because I’d got there late (10pm ish) they had saved some food for an evening meal for me.
I went up to my room, which I found a decent size and very nice, with a lovely balcony, the views were over a residential road but you couldn’t hear any noise at all. They have very good air conditioning in the rooms with a ceiling fan as well, which is a good job as it was roasting!
I got a mega tan, and would highly recommend going in November.
The food was amazing, they cater for every taste and it is all self service which is great, after dinner you can go into the bar (non smoking) and the staff are so friendly, you can go out of some patio doors in the bar to have a cigarette.
I went out one night to some of the bars in the marina, and they are lovely, prices are quite cheap out but in the bar drinks can be a bit pricey, however, don’t be surprised when they pour you a short that is about 4 times as much as you would get in the uk.
All in all, you could not find a better positioned, more friendly, and clean hotel than this one. Highly recommendable and great value for money.

" We went here over the Easter week for... "

We went here over the Easter week for a family holiday. Myself, hubby, and our son who is 11. Unfortunately the weather was terrible but you can't book the sun for a week.
On arrival at the hotel we were surprised at how friendly the staff were. They made us feel very welcome and we were given our room key straight away.
The room was lovely and clean with plenty of storage space, mini bar, and a safe. Clean and tidy bathroom. Nice balcony. Not much of a view but we were not really bothered.
I must say the food choice was excellent in the hotel. The evening meal was wonderful so much choice of everything even our son found plenty to choose from.
The breakfast was the same so much choice not one complaint at all over the food. The hotel overall was very clean and tidy throughout. Not much evening entertainment but we were not fussed.
We did have one or two sunny days spent by the pool. The children can't take inflatable toys into the pool. Plenty to do outside of the hotel.
As it was raining we had to find things to do. We spent one day at Tivoli World great for the kids and the sea life centre. We had a ride in the cable cars magnificent views over the town. We took the local bus into Marbella one day. Great experience.
I thought it would be a good idea to take a walk to Puerto Banus little did I know how long it would take. A good hour and a half. I recommend a cab if you decide to go.
Oh how the other half live in Puerto Banus. Great shops if you have plenty of money. The marina at Benalmadena is beautiful as well plenty of shops.
We ate out a couple of times. A lovely restaurant called Metro right on the marina. Would recommend. Another night we tried a place called Pinocchio’s not so good really.
Overall a great holiday wish we had better weather would recommend this hotel to all.

" This 3 storey hotel was opened in... "

This 3 storey hotel was opened in June 2005, and is becoming quite popular. It is situated more or less on the promenade, overlooking the beach and burger king.
The location is ideal as you can if you wish walk into Torremolinos from here straight down the prom. The rooms are spacious, with full bathroom. We had read a previous report, about the noise from a night club, more or less opposite the hotel, therefore we requested, a quiet room. We were on the 3rd. floor overlooking a residential road, with the mountain range
also in view.
There was noise from the night club, but only from 'the sweet youngsters' leaving the club at about 6.45 am. and this noise was from the cars tearing off in many directions, and radios blasting. I believe the club is now only open Thurs, Friday, and Saturdays. I have to say that this 'noise' did not bother us too much, but if we had been at the front of the hotel, with the music all night, we may have not been so happy.
The food was excellent, and varied, with 2 sittings at night, 6.30 and 8.30, you have the same assigned table for the length of your visit, breakfast you could sit anywhere. Smokers had tables outside, in the patio area. The food was more European, the English obviously, but no-one would starve or not be able to find something they would like, although children were not catered for, very well unless they liked pasta. They did however make their own pizzas and garlic bread, had lots of syrups for the pancakes except maple, lots of fresh fruits, and gateau type desserts, but i loved their jelly.
I would definitely go to this hotel again, and i would just like them to put tea and coffee making facilities in the room, so i don’t have to take my own kettle!!
The pool area is good, and the pool service is also excellent, there, did not seem to any sun-bed reserving, or 6am. risers putting there towels down. The water was too cold for me though!!
The evening entertainment, was average. Most people would walk from the hotel either up one of the many cardiac hills, to the main town of Benalmadena, or remain around the marina, near the hotel. We mainly used the CROISSANT SHOW bar which is opposite burger king. All the staff there were superb, and were able to communicate in what seemed every ,language. and we have to give a special mention to RICHARD AND FRANSJE, or as we nick-named them Doris and Donald, until we discovered their real names.
They were Dutch and unlike a lot of young people you encounter, were able to communicate well, with older people like ourselves, and take time out to make an effort to talk to everyone, and recognition was given if you used the bar regularly.. in other words, every customer was special.. I don’t find that a lot here.
If you have not been to Benalmadena before, and are staying on the lower level, by the marina, you can get a boat to Fuingerola, or go the main road on the higher level, which you can get too, by going up the hill, which has the road signs for Malaga.. This hill is not too bad, when you reach the op turn left and the bus-stop is there for Malaga, and Torry.
The bus and train fares all seem to cost about 1.15 euros, and the system is great.. On short rides you would loose out but if you go into Malaga, which is a longer journey you win, but expect overfilling of the bus on market days etc.,.
The train is also good, but the station in Benalmadena is a long way from resort.. So a bus is better. You can off course get the train, again for 1.15 euros to and from the airport. We have done this when we were in Fuingerola, no trouble at all. If you wish to go the Benalmadena station, you could get the green 'Noddy' train , that goes to Tivoli world, which is near the weekly market, you can catch this train at the turret, on avenida del mar.
This was a very good 4star hotel, and I hope the standard does not fall, as it becomes more established.

" I booked this hotel for a relaxing... "
Submitted By: Mrs S Barr
I booked this hotel for a relaxing week of shopping sunbathing and generally relaxing with my 72 yr old mum. (We have 1 week away every year).
Food was good although more for the Europeans than English but you couldn’t go hungry as wide variety of foods served by buffet every night. The staff were so helpful and attentive. Reception staff exceptional. Brand new hotel so lovely and clean.
This hotel has got to be in the best position in Benalmadena. The harbour is beautiful. We will be back to the resort and would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.
