Club Ilayda Apartments

Well there really is only one thing that I can say about the holiday in Marmaris and that is that it was fantastic. The hotel was really very clean and the rooms were cleaned every day.
The pool area was also cleaned everyday by the waiters and there was never any rubbish around anywhere. The waiters were very friendly and even joined you in the pool sometimes in the afternoons. Ali tries to make friends with everyone so you really cannot hate him and all of the other staff are so friendly that you just want to take them home with you.
As for the surrounds of Ilayda you can’t be in a better spot for restaurants as there are lots around. If you go for a meal try the set menu's as you get lots of food for little prices. One place to go for food is the Welcome restaurant - turn right out of Ilayda and go to the cross roads - it’s on the right. The waiters are fantastic along with the food and they will even get you up dancing with them.
If you like Kareoke and want to sing when it isn’t on at Ilyada - Sunday and Wednesday nights - then hit the Elvis bar which is close to the Welcome restaurant. Once again the waiters are fantastically crazy but they definitely make you feel welcome. It’s a great atmosphere and you really wont want to leave - especially when cocktails are 6 lire each!
I would definitely recommend the lazy day cruise as you can just sit on the boat for the full day and relax - watch out for the crew as they will either try to make you dance with them or throw you overboard at one of the swim breaks. A fantastic trip!
One thing to watch out for is people trying to sell you things on the street - just walk past other wise you will get nowhere - also if you go to Efes or pammukale take hats, sun cream, t-shirts as it gets very hot.
Overall a fantastic holiday and the holiday really has a fantastic atmosphere. I think I will definitely be returning to Club Ilayda and the restaurants around as people really do remember who you are!

This was our second year at the Ilayda and it was such a disappointment compared with last year. It was dirty especially around the small pool, everyday there was ants thousands of them, we complained everyday to the reception but nothing was done, the ants went away themselves in the end probably fed up with us throwing water at us.
The beds at the side of the pool were old but there was loads of new ones waiting to be put together and that didn't happen until our last day, the positive was the children's rep Frankie was great and the kids loved going although that had to be fumigated, again because of the ants all in all Marmaris is fantastic we are going back again next year not sure which hotel though.

Marmaris is a great place and we love it. However Club Ilayda is worth missing. The waiters are rude and only interested in you if you are females travelling alone or Turkish or German especially the so called Restaurants and Bar supervisor you would recognise him he is the one that thinks he is gods gift and really is cheesy.
You have to watch the waiters when ordering drinks as they have a tendency of trying to keep the change no matter what the change is. We also found out that the prices they charged for drinks where way far more expensive than the surrounding restaurants and bars and certainly more expensive than the bars in bar street and down the beach front.
In all, our two weeks were really ruined by the waiters the hotel entertainment which repeated itself I don’t know how many times and I think they have only two music tapes as its the same music day in and day out.
If you have kids this is not for you, unless you want to be constantly watching them. The rooms were not cleaned nor sheets changed every two days as advertised. In all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Unless you are only looking for a place to sleep and go out every day. Now before someone thinks this is just bitterness we have stayed in accommodations in Marmaris that is a lower star level but surpasses this club for cleanliness and entertainment and friendly and nice waiters. The only waiter that gets pass marks would be Ali who tried to mix and mingle and please all guests but was not allowed to do this because the supervisor or as I called him Mr cheesy nose was out of joint.

Came back from Club Ilayda last week, lovely apartments and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The only criticism that we had was the music at the apartments and also the adjacent apartments.
The music started at 8:30am every morning from our apartments, not too load but load enough that you could hear it with the windows closed but at 10:30am the adjacent apartments really went for it and that is how it carried on for the rest of the day, it was a bit like a competition.
But as I said the apartments were lovely and we did have a very good time.

We have just returned from Club Ilayda and were very pleased with it. The staff were great and were very helpful. It is well situated, busy but not too busy, just perfect. The pools were very well maintained and were lovely.
If I could recommend a restaurant, it would be Kebabe, which if you turn right when you come out of the Ilayda and keep going, pass the traffic lights and its about 1km on the right hand side. The best restaurant we ate in.
You will enjoy yourself at the Ilayda, it is well catered for everyone.

Just returned from Ilayda had a very enjoyable time very clean rooms friendly staff who could not have been more helpful.
Two swimming pools well maintained with clean and pleasant surroundings although complex not to high 3 floors would suggest for the older person to request lower floor on booking all in all nice place we would certainly stay hear again.
If you enjoy a good steak we would recommend the treegana steakhouse on the sea front.

It is the best holiday you will ever experience it has night life great shows and all day entertainment I’m only 14 and I loved it so much I’m going back in may cant wait.
The waiters are really friendly if you go there please say hello to Edi for me please he is lovely he stands by the door all the time and you got to go on the lazy day boat trip it is lush I recommend you to go there it is a once in a life time experience!!!!!!

The apartments are always clean and tidy , the staff are very friendly , and make sure all the guests are happy. Even the guests that are staying at other places are made every welcome . The service you get there is the best I’ve ever had aboard. Been to Marmaris 9 times now but think I have found the best apartments to stay in .
they put on free entertainment every night . Even the staff do there own shows, which are brilliant to watch. The managers are always very helpful in every way . And always have time to speak to you. They always say hello to there guests when they walk by . Even if they are busy with something else.
the pools are cleaned every morning there is never any rubbish lying around the pool . The pool area is washed down about three times a day by the waiters to keep it clean and tidy .
I would gladly tell any one who wants a friendly and relaxing holiday in Marmaris to stay at ilayda club. As they will always be made very welcome . From the cleaners all the way up to the general manager . Cant wait until next may when I go back there . Mike
