This holiday was excellent value ( booked on the web just under £400 p.p 2 weeks half board with flights from Manchester & taxi transfer from Girona)
When we arrived at the Xloc we were pleasently surprised.We did,not have a sea view with balcony ( but hadn't paid for that!)the room was simple, clean & spacious.
The staff friendly & helpful especially in the Dining room.
The terrace overlooking the beach is lovely at any time during the day/night.
The Hotel catered for many French & other Continental European guests but we welcome that.Some British who were there at the same time made us cringe with embarressment, they thought they were in a 5* hotel without the price & made the staff's life Hell, very unfair.
This is a holiday destination which I hope to repeat.

This hotel was clean and close to the beach and town centre.
The food however was appalling although when I complained I was told that this was a (matter of taste)!
The staff here barely speak english, this caused us severe problems. If you want a fridge you must inform the hotel before you arrive.
I could not get a fridge for my medication and therefore was unable to take my Insulin and eat the food I needed to keep my diabetes under control.
I found the staff did not care.
The drinks at this hotel were very expensive. The balcony's are extremely small. The staff on Reception could be very bristly at times.
The guests at this hotel consisted of French, German and spanish. We only met one English couple at this hotel in one week.

We booked the hotel for a three night stay from Thursday night to Sunday and firstly were surprised that we could get in during the summer period. It used to be in Thompsons small and friendly and isn't now so was a little worried, but my doubts were completely unfounded. We had a room that had no balcony or sea view, but we paid so little that it wasn't expected. The room was large with a very spacious bathroom. Clean and tidy, if a little dated. The hotel staff were very friendly and relaxed. Food was of a good quality although I can understand would become a bit boring if you were staying for a week, but there was plenty of it. At the end of the holiday we mislaid some keys, and the staff including the cleaning staff were so helpful. The beach was so close to the hotel and relatively quiet. We would recommend the hotel to you.
