June 2011 brill holiday!!
9 / 10
Jun 2011, :-)

Stayed here 31st may - 7th June 2011 so start of season.when we first arrived there was people waiting to show us 2 our room and even carried our suitcases up as we were on the second floor :) room was basic but useable but what do u expect for a 2 star bathroom and facilities were clean and maids came in every 2 days 2 change sheets and mop floor etc... Pool bar was lively with people staying up shouting till 7am which is fine until it's ur last night and u actually want a decent nights sleep! Food at the pool bar was good stayed 2 eat there most nights but did venture out 2 kfc etc but prices wer abit on the expensive side around £7 for a meal... Bbq on a Sunday is brill only 12 euros and u get a massive plate of food, quiz, karaoke and the all famous miss malia comp :) all in all brill holiday would go back but 1 tip go to the local supermarket get alcohol there and drink before u go out will save u loads of money especially at start of season when there's not many offers on drinks wen u go out :)

After reading some reviews on here, i feel i needed to write my own, i stayed here in 2009 with 2 girl friends, first all you need to remember this hotel is a 2* and 2nd its Greece, so expect basic. The staff are amazing, always there to help, and make sure you had the best holiday possible. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the strip which wasnt a problem. The hotel had a great bunch of people roughly the same age (18-30) everyone got on and there were no problems, on the sunday night the hotel hold a bbq (€10 each) which included as much as you could eat, and amazing entertainment. Our room was a 3 bed, which was basic, sink, basic kitchen items, fridge. the bathroom was an okay size big shower and mirror, sink and toilet. we were on the second floor, the stairs up to the floors were narrow, but to be fair who cares, everyones there for the same thing- a good time. the bar had amazing cocktails(dogs ********) which got you hammered after a pint. the food there was extremly good value for money. so we stayed here to eat most nights and days because you were pretty much guarented to get decent food in your stomach.
The Strip: a word of advice, the spirts are extremly cheap alternitives so if like me and dont really like drinking cheap stuff ask for top shelve stuff( roughly €7 for 2 drinks) most places offer a fish bowl or shots with a purchase, but most of the time your drunk and you dont realise what your drinking and it's normally just fruit juice instead of alcohol, or sambuca.
The Best Places:
Apollo,ZigZag, for clubs
Sticky Fingers for food
Also boys watch out, women with children(greeks) walk about with glow sticks on there arm and the children come up and offer you one to buy for €3, this is a con, as you say no, they drop the glow sticks you go to pick it up and they nick your wallet etc.... and they run off up side streets.
But easily the best holiday i've been on!

Staff were brilliant, recommending the best cocktails and their 5am cheese toasties always helped the hangover the next day!! Great food at affordable prices and the accommodation was clean and the cleaners also done a bit of tidying when the room was getting just a bit out of hand!! haha!! Super spot for couples, family and 18-30's.... great spot for meeting so many lovely people!! thanks

Stayed for one week at the sarpidon with a group of 4 girls! we absolutly loved it! Malia is a great place for a clubbing holiday. The sarpidon had such a great atmosphere everyone spoke to everyone and you make loads of friends and find yourself in everyone elses rooms lol! Make sure you do the barbeque on the thursday its such a laugh and the miss malia competition was hilarious! we werent expecting much of the hotel as it was 18-30 but it was great and from what we were told by other people, its a much better standard than most hotels in malia. rooms were modern and had 4 beds instead of 2 beds 2 sofa beds which made it easier! only downside only got one pillow but that didnt really matter considering we barely slept! 24 hour bar is great especially getting a cheese and ham toastie after the night out. security guards have a laugh with you and allow noise as long as its not excessive! bar staff were all lovely made you feel really welcome!
If you stay with thomas cook, do the trips, they are usually a rip off but we enjoyed them so much we paid 109euros for 3 trips and you get food and free bar on them :)
If you expect to sleep malia is not the place for you, but for people looking for a lively, crazy clubbing holiday its amazing! We didn't want to come home and have spent the last three weeks wishing we were back there!
oooo ahhh maliaaa :)

Overbooked but was Nice Once We Moved In

got there to find out it was overbooked and that we had to move to another hotel 20mins away or to one next door so we went next door and it was very basic but no music was getting played at 10 in the morning. After 3 days we moving back in to sarpidon and it was very good. the rooms were a good size and were not to hot. rooms were cleaned regulary and staff were good at times.
i would recommend staying at SARPIDON and NOT 'HAPPY DAYS' where some of my mates stayed and it is a shocking hotel.

My daughter and 3 friends booked to go to the Sarpidon 3 months ago.She has just recieved an e-mail the week before they arrive ,telling her they are overbooked and are being transferred to some dump. We rang the Sarpidon and they told us they would ring us back the next day. After waiting all day I rang again to be told "we are full". Not good customer relations before you even get there so I cant see them being any better when you actually stay there. Well done Sarpidon ,its a good thing your only a small hotel because you would'nt have a clue how to run a big hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My two friends and I stayed in the sarpidon apartements in aug/sept and had an absolutely brilliant time. Can't really fault the accomodation, we are all 17 and I would say it isn't suitable for young children at this time of year as the partying goes on all day and night. Its a twenty four hour bar so its not really a relaxing holiday if thats what your looking for! Rooms are clean, but very basic - only one toilet roll! Staff are faaab, very friendly and helpful. 10/10 for our stay at sarpidon!
