Amazing Hotel
from Nikki90
We have just arrived back from Adakule Hotel in Kusadasi and have to say it was absolutely beautiful. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a very high standard throughout and the rooms are modern and cleaned everyday. We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed the food every night, the a la carte restaurant is included with all inclusive and is well worth a try and the main buffet has a really varied range of food with fresh food being cooked all the time in front of you. The hotel is built on a cliff do there are lots of steps which we didn't mind too much but there are lifts if you're tired from a long day at the beach! All in all great holiday, great service and beautiful hotel, what more do you need?
lovely holiday at Adakule
from WendyWoo69
We have just returned from our stay at the Adakule, Turkey and I must say we all enjoyed it. We have two young children one of which is a fussy eater but there was always something he ate. The room was lovely and was fleaned everyday and clean towels left. The food was lovely with lots of choice and made fresh in front of you. The location was excellent with wonderful views of the sunset. Entertainment was okay we never went to the disco but the shows where good. I guess one downfall would be the amount of steps but we expected this with the hotel built into a cliff!!! There were lifts which helped! I would love to go back to this hotel but will fly to Izmir rather than Bodrum as I couldn't stomach the two hour transfer!
Enjoyable holiday

My husband booked this hotel as a late deal for ourselves and 5 year old daughter. When I later read the reviews I was not at all happy with his choice and was dreading going. On our arrival we were allocated a room in the annex, which immediately worried me, on checking the room I have to agree this did not meet the 5* accommodation we were used to staying in at Turkey. I went straight to reception and told them that I wanted to be moved, they told me to go back at 9.30 the next morning and they would try to move us. That evening on returning to our room at 12.30 we found that the air-conditioning had been leaking and the carpet was very wet. We went straight back to reception and this time they promised to move us the next morning. Sure enough they were true to their word and we were moved onto the 6th floor of the main hotel. The room we were allocated was fantastic and very large as it was a corner room. It consisted of a King Size bed and a double sofa bed. The food was very nice indeed and I must say that my 5 year old can be rather picky with food, however, she found something to eat each evening and enjoyed all her meals. Although the entertainment left alot to be desired I have never been to an AI yet where the entertainment was exceptional. For the money that we paid for this holiday it was worth it once we had been changed rooms. I do feel the hotel should close the annex section until all the rooms have been modernised in line with the rest of the hotel.
Loved it...

I am surprised about the bad reviews. I stayed in that hotel from 13th of august 2006 to 20th. It was nice, we stayed in the main building 5th floor. The receptionist were nice to us.. We had a problem with the AC in one room and they sent someone to fix it. later that day they asked us if the AC it's ok or maybe we would like another room. The towels were changed daily, the room was clean and no bad smell on the hallway. At the lobby there is free Internet connection available (if you have a palm/laptop with wireless card).

i was very pleased with the experience at adakule. i came by car from romania and i stayed at the main building and it was very nice. big bed, good food and a lot of it, too. i spent my hollyday in midd september so it wasn't too crowded. the service was fine, many activities, and a lot of places too go. the price was very good, about 250 Euro for 7 nights all inclusive. i write this comment because someone said last year that it was horrible. it wasn't and you can not ask for a luxury vacantion and pay 250.
Not at all as bad as the people here would have you believe!

I was impressed as soon as I arrived and walked into the Hotel - and also with my room - even though I noticed as I walked past others with open doors that my room was modest in comparison! However, I did not go to Turkey to stay in my room! Regarding it, though, it was kept clean - towels were changed daily and always smelt of a pleasant perfume - no complaints. The sea view was fabulous by the way - hence well over 30 photos taken from there. The food was good enough and there was a lot of it - and at most times of the day - almost from 7 in the morning until 9 at night. Drinks too were easy to obtain until after midnight. My tipple of choice was Brandy and (Fanta) lemon - though I discovered, sadly only on the final day that the cherry juice was great - and took well to the addition of Vodka! There were a few Brits but we were outnumbered by the Dutch - a lot of whom could speak a fair amount of English - anyway, I find that we Brits get on well with the Dutch. There was Table Tennis, Pool and a computer game inside - plus access to the net (you had to pay). There was a pool of course - and you could go down and lie by the sea on a jetty below the hotel - access was possible by lift so it wasn't a struggle. There was some sort of entertainment most nights eg Belly-dancers AND Bingo (good combination!) and Karaoke. There was also a small disco (where you could drink some more - which took you to 1 o'clock or so!) I could say more but you get the gist - I'd recommend this place - at least when it's not full ie this time of year. I can see that when full there would be limited space by the pool etc.
ADA KULE HOTEL-the right place for a terrible holiday
from adakule
well, it is supposed that you work hard for a year in order to make a nice holiday for yourself and i did so. My wife and I booked our stay 2 months before at ADA KULE HOTEL and we were expecting to find there accomodation and services in accordance with the money we paid. Instead of that we encountered a terrible disappointement when we checked in because they sent us to an Annex near the main building although we had paid for a double room at ADA KULE HOTEL (not annex or anything like that). It's true that there were a lot of turks checked in at this hotel, but I didn't see any of them at the Annex. After we had strongly negociated and argued with the reception personnel we got a proper room but ..surprise, that room was fit for a 3(three) stars hotel. The mini bar from the room was empty (not even a bottle of soda in it) and we couldn't make ice cubes because the tray inside the refrigerator was missing. I forgot to describe the room in the Annex: the door was scorched, air condition made such a noise one couldn't sleep at all and the sink was full of rust. When we addressed the reception personnel they made ironic commentaries about our request to have the room changed (as we found out later the reception personnel consists of underpaid non -graduate students involved in tourism&travel business). I must say the food was ok, but if you wanted an orange fresh juice you had to pay for it 4 euro; instead, you could drink synthetic juice from their automatic machines and if you think of drinking..let's say , a sip of Remy Martin fine cognac, forget about it.. it's 20 euro. I could tell more about the subject but i want to get over this experience. All in all we expected a dream holiday and ended up with a very poor one (thanks to ADA KULE's disappointing services).
Don't go to Adkule Hotel
from cindy41
Holiday from 6th to 20th Aug 2006....ADKULE HOTEL Well were do i start, after we entered the 5*Star hotel thought looks good... then it went down hill from there. We was 5 intotal so had 2 rooms, got given our key to our rooms and told it was 2 floors down. So to me it was in the basement... The smell that hit us was of damp in the corridor leading to our rooms. The carpets in the corridor was all stained with black marks plus bleach stains. skirting boards were missing floors uneven. We entered our rooms they were big, but what a let down no balcony, mini bar was empty. bathroom full of mould. smelt of damp plus the air con did not work when it did it blow out hot air. Then started leaking causing the carpet to be soaking wet. My daughter that was in the other room, was just as bad even worst then ours. The cuboard to put our cloths in was full of dust so you can tell no one had been it there for some time. We called the rep desk to change rooms they said that all rooms was full. We never unpacked, that day waited for my sister inlaw & family that was coming to the same hotel the next day... She was shocked to see what she was getting for her money a big let down. My daughter had to move rooms because the air con leaked that much the carpet was almost floating.... we had a window in the corridor next to our room that was the sewage from the kitchens i think & the laundry that was running freely from some sort ot metal doors the smell was unbelieveble. It made our eye's sting entering our rooms, some night. The staff on the rep desk was not helpful in any way, plus the manager unless you was one of them, the food was ok but got a but boring after awhile... The swimming pool was to small for the amount of people in the hotel, it was like being on a dolmus. you had to get down early to get a sunbed. The best out of the holiday was the jetty on the beach, only problem was the bar closed at the beach at 5pm so was unable to gets drinks if you was still chilling on the jetty. Had to go to the pool bar that closed at 6pm, if after that time the Lobby that was a round trip of 20mins walking..... could not understand why they closed the beach bar & pool bar if the swimming pool bar did not close untill 8pm. We had the sheets changed once in 2 weeks, my grandson was sick on his sheets they turned his sheet around. The towels was changed after 4 days. It was so hot in the hotel at night we had to keep getting up to have a shower.... Because the air con, after a day being out in the sun you just want to cool down to get ready to go out in the even, no chance of that. you'd be sweating before you even leave your room for dinner. The Lobby had air con but they did not put it on... I asked if they would put it on, they said no cause the windows was open so we said close the windows then... They just laughted. I've lost stone just from sweating. Also stated a kids club well if you child is 2 to 3 year old they have got a area with slide & small building blocks & that's it. Nothing for older kids & it's on a high drop down if you child leans over the 3 foot fence that has benches next to it. Not safe in anyway... I could go on with problems with this hotel, but i think this will be anough for you to avoid. 10% English, 80% Turkish & 10% Germans/French family at this hotel. We booked this 5*Star hotel because we had 3 birthdays & a 25th anniversary in our stay there, between 2 familys of 8.We paid alot of money for this hotel, and got a poor standard I would at a push rate it 3*Star... well I won't forget this holiday. Glad were back home but need another holiday to get over this one. I'm not a moaning English person as I'm married to a Turkish Guy. This is the worst hotel we've been to in the 18 years we've been going to Turkey... It needs a major re-vamp 200%. I've taken many photo's of the hotel & the room you would not like whay you see i promise you that. Turkey is great but not this hotel stay clear of it.

Repetitive food, really boring during the day, nearby town is very tacky! Expected much more for the price in Turkey, not easy to get more than a few drinks a day in all inclusive!

Lovely Hotel, with great food. We were given a room in the block behind reception which was not up the the star rating, so we asked to be moved to the main block...this was much much better. Not really a beach in front of the hotel but you can find nice beaches about 10mins taxi ride away or scooter ride in our case. You are able to sunbathe on a wooden platform and around the pool though. The only problem with this hotel is it is situated in the side of a hill/moutain which is spectacular but would be unsuitable for the elderly because of the numerous stairs. All in all a very good week was had by all.
We usually don't believe the negative reviews, assuming the people are just picky, crabby, or were rude and nasty. This hotel proved us wrong! Food was not good, with the exception of the salad bar. Often, the same food was there the next meal, just in a new format. ... more
