First time I have tried this type of holiday. I was looking for a relaxing, flexible chill out for the family (wife & two 7 year old boys). Although I was a bit apprehensive at first I thought we would give it a try.
The drive from Alicante to Moraira was quite straight forward but I got lost somewhere in the dark quite close to the address. Allow 2 to 3 hours from landing to arriving at the Villa. It took over an hour before we left the airport in the hire car.
On arrival at Bahia Vista the travel time was instantly forgotten. The villa was found to be clean, well presented & maintained, spacious & secure. The private pool is set in its own garden and is a sufficient size.
The main picture in the brochure appears dated & sparse compared to the actual mature plants & trees that form the boundary and seclude or shade areas around the property. Ideal to escape the midday heat & maintain privacy.
The Kitchen well equipped with everything should you need it. The whole accommodation was ideal & I could not fault anything. The kids gained confidence in and around the water as they played for hours on end.
The Villa is set on the side of a steep hill in a residential area about 10 min drive from Moraira. A car is essential due to the terrain. The area is well catered for with the choice of a few super markets & a couple of restaurants/cafes. The main resort has everything you need & a v good choice of varied restaurants & bars. It was not overly crowded & enough choice to last the two weeks.
Beaches are plentiful & easy to get to, the rep. helped with maps & info on markets in the area & is worth a visit but be there early to get parked.
All in all, the holiday did deliver what I wanted it to. The villa is an ideal home & I would recommend anyone looking for this type of holiday to give it a try. I will most probably be back here at some time.
