Movenpick Ulysse Palace Hotel Reviews
" This was a disaster of a honeymoon... "
Submitted By: Mrs A Towers
This was a disaster of a honeymoon for my husband and I. We suffered long delays getting to the Island, arriving in the early hours of the morning, so losing the first day of the holiday completely. Our private transfer to the hotel was a taxi with rugs on the seats. It was too dark to see but when we got to the hotel, we were bitten to death, so there were obviously fleas or insects living in the seats.
Although the first three days were pretty good and we have no complaints about the room, the food was terrible. Flies crawling all over the breakfast and evening buffets and on day 4, I got terrible food poisoning. After doctor visits, injections and 5 days of vomiting and diarrhoea, our honeymoon was ruined.

The holiday company acted promptly and arranged for us to return home early but the insurance we arranged through them are making waves about our claim. My advice, don’t go to Djerba and certainly don’t eat at this Movenpick hotel. <br>

This truly was a five star hotel and we are returning next year. We went for 10 days as a family with our children 7 and 4 and loved it so much we didn't want to leave.
All of the staff we superb and friendly. The food was superb, absolutely first class. The spa was brilliant, and the kids club the best. Can't recommend this highly enough.
