Our first visit to Jamaica and long haul holiday. 90 mins from Montego Bay travelling through the mountains to reach our destination, set in lush acres of gardens and tropical flowers surrounded by coconut trees; this spectacular location has something for everyone.
This resort- adults only, far surpassed our expectations. Included was our wedding package, which included a wedding coordinator (Ta-Marsha) who made our special day go without a hitch.
I must point out that getting married in June it's better to book a slot in the morning as there is a good chance of rain in the afternoons and it can be a bit overcast.
The accommodation, especially the massive bed, classed as king sized but in reality superkingsized 4 poster was fabulous.
The food was excellent and 24 hours if so desired. Watersports from water skiing to glass bottom boat all included everyday and fantastically helpful staff.
Only downside, the hard sell tactics in the Spa, not sure if that was because the resort was under capacity whilst we were there-beware of all the added "extras" if using the Spa. No cash allowed anywhere other than the Jewellery store so you MUST TAKE a CREDIT CARD if you wish to purchase gifts in the gift shops, and for excursions and resort photos, which is then charged to your room using your credit card imprint.

I agree with all the last person had to say about this hotel. It is outstanding, and I really cannot think of anything negative to report.
It was our first Sandals holiday, and we now intend it to be the first of many based on our experience at Whitehouse.
The facilities, staff, accommodation, and dining really were excellent and we managed to eat in every place at least once on our holiday.
We were there over new year and they laid on a fabulous party for everyone. They closed a couple of the restaurants and brought all of the tables and chairs around the main pool and had a poolside buffet complete with ice sculptures and chocolate sculptures! There was a steel band and local band later, and they handed out party hats and things to all the guests.
The entertainment was great too, they had a weekly line up of music, entertainers (fire breathing, contortionists, uni-cyclist etc) and many others.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves to have the best of everything on their holidays!
PS - the beach is just as paradise should be - crystal waters and beautiful white sands.

I honestly can’t praise this hotel highly enough!
On arrival in Jamaica airport our luggage was taken from us while we enjoyed the benefits of the VIP lounge (exclusive to Sandals guests). After a short wait our driver transported us to the most exclusive holiday resort that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at.
The Whitehouse was breath taking!
I must admit the champagne reception on arrival was a nice touch. The following morning we were blown away with the deluxe facilities that Sandals had on offer from free tennis lessons to waterskiing (with instruction)on the beach. There truly is enough to keep even the most active of person busy or alternatively you can enjoy relaxing on the gorgeous white sandy beach or by one of the hotels 3 swimming pools (one of which is the largest in Jamaica)
My favourite restaurant was Eleanor’s where white glove waiter service is standard, here you can enjoy fantastic lobster in the evening and a champagne breakfast in the morning.
I only managed to book a week and ate in a different restaurant every night - everyone individual and all excellent.
Try the Whitehouse for yourself and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

We spent our honeymoon at the Sandals Whitehouse resort, in the French Village. A very luxurious holiday.
We were on the bottom floor of the French Village, in a room close to the back of the Dutch Village. The French Village houses the least expensive rooms, but we found that it was very nice being on the Ground Floor (beach access from our patio!) and away from the main centre (bit quieter). Accommodation was of a good standard, very clean and air conditioned rooms, with a fridge and a safe. Fridge gets stocked every day with soft drinks.
Maid service and fridge restocking was a bit hit and miss, had to call reception a couple of times to sort out some problems such as the Maid leaving our patio door unlocked (3 times!) and the fridge being inadequately restocked. Did some of the included activities on the beach, but had to complain about our treatment by the lady at the Watersports club when we went to do Scuba Diving (she was VERY rude).
Food was decent, 7 restaurants - in some cases they went for fine dining but didn't quite manage it.
Associate trips/tours were of a good standard, met some nice people doing those and the on-site tour girls were very friendly and pleasant.
All-in-all a good holiday, not sure if it's totally worth the money we paid (around £2.4K per person!) so make sure you get a good deal if you're going to do it.
