" We stayed at the Mirador De Adra... "

We stayed at the Mirador De Adra hotel for 1 night before leaving in disgust. The hotel was far below advertised 4 star standard. We were given 3 different rooms, before finally settling on the best of the worst. All 3 had faults.

The hotel was dirty. Surrounding area not much better, derelict and full of flies. Beach filthy and the Yacht Club advertised is no more than a shed on the beach. Hotel staff unfriendly. Holiday should not be sold to residents in the UK as area not a holiday resort.

Nothing to do but watch flies which there are many of !!!! Avoid like the plague.

" Booked as last minute for a 4 star... "

Booked as last minute for a 4 star hotel in Adra, on the Costa de Almeria. Fail to see how the Mirador de Adra rates 4 stars. In our opinion, it is pushing it to give it three! Very disappointing overall. The Hotel is tired and in much need of refurbishment. Though of reasonable cleanliness inside, the area around the pool isn’t. Cracked and broken tiles and cracked and broken planters, which were both very dangerous. We witnessed the cleaning staff sweeping the floor area round the pool and depositing the dirt on the flowerbeds. A small area only around the pool for bathing and approximately 40 sun loungers and four parasols! Nowhere near enough should the hotel have been full. The beach was described as long and wide and, indeed, it was. However, it was also shingle, dirty with lots of litter, broken bottles and dog excrement. Neither safe nor healthy to venture onto. Adra isn’t a holiday resort in any way, it’s a small Spanish village that is just not geared up for tourism. We fail to see why this hotel is being sold from the UK as a holiday. Fine if you really want to get away from it all - there really is nothing to do and nowhere to go. Would not go there again and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone - not even my worst enemy. Avoid.
