Stayed at Majestic first week in September, myself, my boyfriend and our 4month old baby. Nice hotel. Not 4 Star, I'd say 3 Star plus. Food was fine, not wonderful but nice. Hotel room was brilliant, it was a self catering room with a separate bedroom and a cot for the baby. Everywhere in the hotel was very clean. The maids were lovely!
One complaint was that the pool was far too cold. So much so that it was empty of people a lot. We could not take the baby into the pool as he just cried and his lips turned blue (literally). You knew when someone was getting into the pool because they would gasp and shout out. Consequently we only went in the pool a handfull of times. For my partner and I this spoiled things as it is a huge part of the holiday to be able to dip in and out of the pool. Something really needs sorting out about it. The sea was much warmer!
There were a lot of Germans in the hotel and a lot of the activities in the daytime were geared towards them. The guy who runs the entertainment is, however, fluent in many languages and does translate to each one, clever guy! Not too sure about evening entertainment as we went into town which was brilliant.
The hotel is situated in a perfect part of town for some peace and quiet yet it is a quick stroll to the lively areas. There is also a little train which takes you to the furthest part of town, this picks up at the side of the hotel. Thompson rep was not good as he didn't tell us about this and it's a long walk to the other end of town.
By the way, our cheapest pint of lager in town was 45 pence!!!!
Would definately go back to Sunny Beach, it was a great place. A little tacky looking but very diverse in the people it attracts which was refreshing. The Bulgarians are some of the nicest, friendliest and most guenuine people I have ever met. Unfortunately I would not go back to the Majestic, purely based on the pool being absolutely freezing cold.

The most relaxed holiday i've been on, the hotel was lovely, the staff were lovely. Had a sea view from our balcony, was something gorgeous to wake up to every morning! Sunny beach is a wonderful resort, there isn't alot to do i must say, but if your looking for a poolside beach holiday sunny beach bulgaria is the place. They are very friendly in sunny beach, and all the boys and girls out for an awsome night on the town, go there! Majestic is a wonderful, gorgeous hotel! recomend it 100%

We Arrived at the Majestic Hotel at about 4 in the morning and were greeted wiht the fact that even tough we had requested 2 rooms together, we had been givin one on the first floor and one on the ninth. With it being so late we decided to leave it to be sorted till the next day. It ruined my mothers and fathers first day as they had to unoack and repack and wait to be moved to the room next to ours.
After that thoe the holiday was amazing if you have problems with towels on sunloungers in the morinings just take others off the hotel rules clearly state if your not there then its not the hotels fault if they get taken of by somebody else!
Loads of germans there but there not so bad. the beach is gorgues and the water sports is a must, although expensive. The beach huts who serve food are great its really cheap and really nice. The main strip is really lively if you like that kind of thing defienatly go to all the bars and get hammerd on the very alcoholic cocktails which are usually two for one.
Anyways the hotel, the food was nice although a bit the same most nights the breakfast was lovely although you have to go about half 7 eight to aviod it being chocker. The rooms were so clean and the maid service were great everyday me and my boyfreind would come in from the pool and we would have a gorgeus swan on our bed =D. The people behind the front desk were okay although they cant speak much english and the reps try to help you as much as possible. we checked out early on the day wer left and for a cheaper price than the majestic we checked into the hotel next door for about half the price, if you want to do that then make sure you see your rep about half way through the holiday to ensure you get one as the ones in majestic are so expensive.

just got back from staying at the Majestic Hotel. it was fantastic, we have stayed in some very expensive 5* hotels and this is the best yet, and its a 4*. it has everything you could want, and its 100% spotless as the cleaners just never seem to stop, they keep on top of everything. We only ate once in the hotel as we prefer to try the local restaurants but the one night we did it couldnt really be faulted (except it was mega dear for bottled waters in the restaurant). the pool area is stunning and each sun umbrella has a pair of padded loungers. it does get busy but we usually moved by approx 10:30 each day and got a space. the hotel is at the end of the strip away from the madness 10 mins walk away, its by far the best area. the rooms are huge and the bed was some comfortable, great pillows which is rare. its not often i will be bothered to go out of my way to recommned something but this ones well worth it. we will go back and suggest you give it a go, anyone who comes away unhappy really must be very difficult to please.

The hotel was in a good position with the centre 15 minutes walk away.It is worth going H/B as the food is very good.Evening entertainment was not up to much and could do with improving. The hotel is very clean, our room was cleaned everyday to a good standard. It is worth paying for a sea view which costs £89.There are plenty of sunbeds but you have to be up early to get one.It is worth going to nessibar shopping it costs just 1 lev on the bus or 15lev on the boat which takes around 25 minutes. The beach is very nice and the sea slopes gently however the sea can some times be a little choppy all in all an excellent holiday.

We stayed the 1st week in August.
We were told that the hotel was 100% full.
The Majesic Hotel was fabulous, the staff were friendly and helpful all the time, the cleaners worked around the clock.
Our room was spacious and faced the hills which was just as nice as the view of the sea.
The hotel is massive but with 2 large pools and lots of sunbeds, there are also good seating areas around the pool bar and lobby bar.
I did get up early to reserve the sunbeds around the pool just to be sure of a good spot, but the beach is so close and the hotel pays 5o% of the bed and parasol fees for you.
The pools were VERY refreshing (the first time you go in they are freezing but you soon get used to it and at least it cools you down.)
We only got up for breakfast a couple of times but there was something for everyone although finding a table was a challenge.
There were 2 sittings for the evening meal (we were on the later 1) after the 1st night you could go straight to your allocated table and up for your food.
The food was good with lots of variety (I am quite picky) and again they catered for everyone.
There are alot of bars and restaurants along the strip that are fairly cheap (do make sure you carry change as it cost 1lev to use the lav in some places) and the cost of beer can vary greatly (50p a pint to £2 a pint) but still cheaper than over here.
All in all we had a great time and wished we had stayed for 2 weeks. We will definately be going back to Sunny Beach.

Just spent two fab weeks @ the Majestic with my two daughters & my daughters boyfriend. Had a 1 bedroom apartment, which was spacious & spotlessly clean. we paid extra for a sea-view, which was worth every penny. The hotel is cleaned 24/7 and the pool area & pool bar are amazing. Take advantage of the pool-towel lending service, as you get a clean towel everyday. Sun loungers are hard to find as most were draped with towels by 8am. Set your alarm clock...
The majestic is ideally situated on the beach & not too far from the centre of sunny beach, ideal for relaxing away from the hustle & bustle. Would recommend Friends Steakhouse & Marvel Steakhouse, both close-by.
Didnt find Bulgaria as cheap as I expected, much the same as the UK. Although local beer & spirits were very cheap. A great day out, Action Aquapark, great for all the family.
If I was to go back to Sunny beach, it would have to be the Majestic. Outstanding!!!

Having just returned from The Majestic in Sunny Beach we wanted to share our views on the hotel & resort.
The hotel itself is just great. We (myself, hubby and 3 yr old son)had a lovely two weeks. The weather was Hot every day. We had a real downpour one night but that wasn`t a problem as we were sat in a bar. And one morning it was cloudy and had a few showers until 12ish when once again it was Hot.
There is an `issue` with the sunbeds which appeared to really annoy some people but to be honest it won`t change so u just have to do what everyone else does and get up early (7.30) to put your towels out. Or let it ruin ur holiday??
You can get towels (big thick beach towels) from the towel attendant round the pool , but u have to pay a 20lev per towel deposit on them (pay at reception) which u get back when u return ur towels, U can can swap for clean ones as often as u like.
The pools are Lovely 2 Massive pools and one paddle pool attached to a kids pool with a fountain.
The hotel in all areas is immaculately clean, Our cleaner was fab , rooms cleaned every day, towels too if u leave them on the floor.
She even wrapped our sons ted up in a blanket each day too.
Our room was lovely. It had a fridge, kettle & microwave in it, and we had a sea/pool view, none of which we requested.
We can`t think of any bad things to say about the hotel.
If anything, the food isn`t fantastic, but u can`t please everyone???
Its usual choices, fish dish, rice dish, meat dish. And veg- Be careful of the veg, i swear its reheated and reheated until its gone. It even comes out again each breakfast time!! EVEN THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!
Breakfast is hearty- Scrambled egg, fried egg, bacon, pancakes, VEG!! ,beans tomatoes. Then Fruit, cereal, petit fours. VEG!!
Tea Coffee & juices. Bread rolls. Lots of choice.
We all suffered jippy tums whilst there, but that may not be down to food??
Climate? water? ( Go steady on the veg ;-) )
On the bright side there is a Kids Corner, Pizza, Nuggets, Potato footballs, pasta. Great idea???
Anyhow, a great time had by all.
The resort itself was geared mainly for the younger person, Lots of Clubby bars, Very loud music right thru the resort centre. Luckily the Majestic is a way outside the resort centre and is fairly quiet around the hotel. Turn left for a pleasant walk, turn right for an interesting one :-)
Lots of mopeds and these taxi bikes with loud music banging from the back appear from nowhere who apparently charge what they like. Fix ur price before u get in.
U can have a horseride on the beach. U can have ur pic taken with huge snakes or iguanas. Bouncy castles, bungy jumps. Tattoo parlours. All great to watch.
Lots of stalls selling the same stuff right down the sunny beach stretch.
Lots of copies of Billabong stuff etc.
Venys bar opposite the Majestic do some delish cocktails ,buy one get one free. Until 11pm.
I`d like to mention the Thomson kids club at the Majestic.
ITS FANTASTIC. The girls there are Fab. We weren`t sure if our lil boy would want to go, Hes a bit shy at times. but he LOVED it and them.
They do three different age groups, He was in the tots 3-5.
It was mostly at 10 -12 each day.. And each day each week thay do a set activity.
Sports day, Magic tree. Space and planets and so on.
The Kids reps are Lollipop Laura, M&M Emma & Jolly Jodie.
All lovely girls, bags of confidence and all the kids love them, Theres a disco every night for the kids too. In the night club. 8.45pm
3 nights a week the reps do it, the other night the 2 girls from the hotel animation team does it.
No other entertainment apart from that.
2 playgrounds too.
Thats it really,
We highly recommend the hotel , to anyone, especially to those with kids because of the great facilities. Pools fab. kids club.
Have a great time. We did.
ps) book the courtesy room before breakfast on ur last day as they get booked up really quick.

arrived about 1am and taken straight to room. hotel spotlessly clean and room air conditioned. 1st pitfall was that 4 of our groups 7 suitcases were broken into at the airport. reported to travel reps who were unconcerned and said it happened a lot and we could buymore from the many rip off stalls outsie the hotel ( suspicious!!). The hotel staff speak little english, this hotel caters for mainly German and Russian tourists who push into dining room rather than queue patiently. Around the pool are many sunbeds but the germans get up @ 5am and put their towels on them, so you haven,t got a chance. 50m to beach and their are plenty more sunbeds which are 1/2 price (5lev) if you show your hotel dining room card ( not your room card). The beach is very clean and there are plenty of fruit sellers peddling the beach (nice and refreshing).
We went on several orgased trips ( only way to get away from the resort). Khan's tent waste of money. 2hrs long, a 4 course meal (best part) and poor entertainment ( better shows seen at Blackpool). inc- plate spinner and can can girls. we went on lazy day cruise (recommended), sail on a ship around sunny beach, swim in sea, have buffet lunch and sail back to Nessebar. Aquapark waterpark great family fun and photographers take lots of photos you can purchase (4 for 20lev). Also recommend off-road day ( take your swimsuit) great greenlaning, horseriding, quad biking.
Downside to holiday is lack of english spoken by locals making it difficult to communicate (ok if you speak german or russian). and poor flight times. you have tovacate room by 12 noon but arnt picked up for airport till 9.30pm. you can pay to keep your room but this is expensive, nearly 200lev, and you only get breakfast on your final day, although you are there for evening meal.youcan purchase your last evening meal for 28lev each though it is cheaper to eat at one of the beach bars ( and better food). Overall nice clean hotel but i wouldn't return to Bulgaria, also becoming very expensive as it gets ready to change to Euro's. Met a lovely couple from Essex, who had been before and they say prices have doubled in last year alone, so don't expect a cheap holiday anymore.

Went to Bulgaria for the last week in June. And I WISH it had been two!! I went with my boyfriend, my first holiday with him and my first holiday abroad without my parents (I'm 19). I can't stress how amazing the Majestic hotel is. It's the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. The cleaners do an amazing job and are constantly cleaning. Leave a tip for the cleaners as it really does mean a lot to them. The pools are immaculate, and the staff are very efficient and their english is brilliant. Make sure you rent out a safe, just for peace of mind (it's not expensive!)
The food is brill. My boyf is very picky, and he always had a full plate at breakfast and dinner, which really is a good sign. I'd be wary of the meat though, had chicken nuggets one of the nights and the chicken was pink. So be careful. But apart from the meat, the food is amazing.
Pool bar is cool, if you don't feel like heading out in the evening. Happy hour is from half four and during happy hour all cocktails are half price. Which is around 10 lev for two cocktails (5 euros) which is fantastic.
Only reason why I gave this hotel 9 out of 10 is because myself and my boyfriend got badly sunburnt (I got second degree burns on my shoulders!) and couldn't leave our bed never mind our room! And my boyfriend rang reception explaining the situation and asked could they send soom food up for our dinner. Which is reasonable enough since our dinner is pre-paid, but were told that room service is not available in the hotel. So my boyfriend had to go to the shop in pain, and we had a dinner of cookies and crisps. (no proper food in the shops)
But honestly, if you are going to stay in Sunny Beach, stay at the Majestic. No other hotel compares. Some of the hotels are stunning, but the pools aren't as good. So on the whole, the Majestic wins hands down!!
Hope this helps!!

We arrived at the hotel at 3am and shown straight to our room. We could not get in the room as there was a full size fridge in the doorway, not plugged in and filthy dirty! the guy dumped our bags and got out of there!! the room was very small with three beds in it,there where only two of us! The smell was completley undiscribable, it was raw sewarge crossed with damp mildew! we sat on the bed to get undressed and my partner's bed had a burn mark in it the size of a dinner plate, the mattresses looked like people had given birth, two pillows were covered in brown smelly stains, because we where shattered we slept on top of the beds with the door open when we woke we had been very badly bitten,
I went to have a shower, the shower head was in the bath which you had to climb into and then shut the cubicle door, this could not be opened from the inside also there was pink mould growing up the wall.
We complained to the manager who mumbled to a young girl of about twelve who showed us to another room across the corridor..not much better..we then spoke to the rep who said she would look into moving us as we where not the only people to complain.
we where moved to the montebello hotel (much better )
The day we moved we where told to leave the majestic at 11am as they had let our room, the room we had given two weeks money for!!
I was the sort of person who always thought it did not matter where you stayed as long as it was clean.. Take my word for it untill you come accross the Majestic you have not seen anything. Please do not waste your money like we did. go somewhere else.

Just returned from my second holiday in Sunny Beach, but my first at the Majestic Hotel. Stayed at the RIU Helena Park last year which I thought was fantastic but have to say the Majestic was even better. The hotel itself was kept very clean, including the rooms that were cleaned every day. We were half board and found there to be plenty of variety of food over the 7 days that we were there.
The pools area was also kept very clean and we always managed to find sunbeds.
As we were in a group of 2 girls and 3 boys, we would venture into the livelier part of the resort which was about a 20-30 minute stroll from the hotel and spent most of our nights in Amigos and Disco Orange.
Would recommend this hotel to anybody as there seemed to be plenty of activities during the day and a kids club which looked very popular. Am already looking at prices for next June!

We have just returned from the Majestic hotel and had a fantastic time. The hotel is absolutely spotless with cleaners working around the clock to ensure all areas are kept clean at all times. This is a massive hotel but nowhere seemed to be crowded.
On arrival at the hotel we were met by very polite receptionists who spoke excellent English. We had our suitcases taken to our room by the porter. Our apartment was very spacious with towels laid out in different designs each day! The cleaners even did the washing up for us!!
We were having bed and breakfast and found the breakfast choice very good - although bacon and sausage is not particularly nice - but plenty of food on offer with staff refilling all the time.
There are lifts to all areas of the hotel and a couple of times one of the lifts wasn't working but a word with reception soon resolved that.
The pool areas are very clean but just be aware that it can be very slippery around the edge when it is wet - just watch younger children - one pool is the same depth all over but the other does have a shallow area. The pool is very cold take care not to get a chill!
All in all we have had an excellent holiday and unlike other reviews we found the staff to be very friendly and polite - maybe treat them the same as you would like to be treated!!
Just one word of warning you may be pestered by beggers but just ignore them and carry on walking and they soon get the message! Also be careful of maniacs on scooters and carriage bicycles they are not very good at being patient for you to move!
Good restaurants to try are CARRIBY, FAT CATS, LA BAMBA and STEAK HOUSE FRIENDS
Hope your holiday turns out to be as good a ours.
