I have just returned from Karbel beach hotel where I have stayed for two weeks on my own with my two children 2 and 7. Staff fantastic, rooms clean, pool small but fab and quiet. Definately reccomend it. Go to sugar beach you can get a lift from the help bar on the sea frount. Fab for kids and its free!! Dont book anything through 'bloody gorgeous' slimy rip off merchant!! Watch out some men can get aggressive if you wont buy their stuff so dont be bullied into making purchases!!

We have hust returned from a superb 3 week holiday in olu deniz. This was our sixth visit to this resort. We had booked to stay at the Karbel main hotel, but when we arrived there was no room available and so we were allocated a room at their sister hotel the Karbel Beach ( and how glad we were).
The hotel Karbel Beach has recently had an extentsion built aand the room we were given was the old reception. The room was for 6 people and had a seperate bed room. This was the biggest we have ever had in Turkey.
We stayed half board and had no problem with the food. There was plenty to choose from.
The Karbel Beach only has 60 rooms so there was always plenty of space and no rush for the sun beds or seats in the dining room.
The hotel rooms and the hotel itself were kept spotless and the cleaners did a fantastic job.
The staff were only small in number wich I liked. (Last year we stayed at the Asena Beach and I found that there were to many staff with not enough to do. This resulted in them coming to sit by you by the pool for hours on end. I felt i had to entertain them)
The staff were extreemly freindly and could not do enough to make our holiday enjoyable.
There was entertainment on at the hotel and I will definatley visit the Karbel Beach again.
So if you have booked to sstay in the main karbel Hotel and get put into the karbel Beach don't worry the hotel is better and you will have a fantastic holiday.

stayed at karbel beach in june for 2 weeks with my boyfriend booked for karbel hotel but when we arrived they tried to put us in a basement room with no balconey it was like a dungeon manager said they would move us three days later but we refused to stay there so they moved us to karbel beach hotel which we were pleasantly surprised this hotel was much better and quieter the block we were put in was brand new and spotless 3 days later the manager from the karbel came to karbel beach to take us back but we stayed were we where as it was much nicer hotel we stayed for bed and breakfast but only had breakfast there four or five times it was typical turkish beakfast but food was nice and fresh only ate 2 evening meals there it was ok but better value for money in the restaurents in town. the staff in the hotel were very friendly especially omar the barman now the downside there was no entertainment in the hotel in the evenings at all apart from one turkish night which cost 30 lira each and a belly dancer for half an hour it was a big rip off so beware if you stay there dont waste your money the resort itself was lovely many rest/bars but all catered for the english nothink turkish abt the resort only the locals who were very friendly if you want a lively holiday this is not the place for you everything winds down at midnight no entertainment in any of the restaurents the beach is nice but very pebbly you need beach sandles to reach the waters edge very hard on your feet overall we enjoyed our holiday but dont think i would return simply because it was to english orientated didnt feel like i was in turkey and i have been to lots of other turkish resorts far better than oludeniz

Me and my husband spent one brilliant week in Olu Deniz in Aug 07. The resort is brilliant, with a wide selection of bars and restaurants where all the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
The beach is beautiful but watch out for the pebbles and the heat under foot, the sea can get quite choppy so weak swimmers or children should be careful.
The hotel was great we stayed on a B&B basis. The room included air con, a fridge, tv, shower/wc and a large waredrobe with lots of hangers. Daily maid service, who left lovely flower arrangements on the bed. Great bar staff and pool, spotlessly clean throughout. Try the pizza and chips, it's home made and gorgeous. Definately give this hotel a try, it's chilled and relaxed, the staff and reps were never in our faces and it was a great base to explore the resort. Book it now!!
We are going back to Olu Deniz this July with friends staying at the sister hotel Karbel Sun, hope that it is as good as the Karbel Beach.

Myself and my wife went to Turkey in May and stayed at the Karbel Hotel. Whilst on holiday I had an accident no fault of anyone really, high winds blew the plasma screen off the wall onto me. The staff were tremendous, called an ambulance straight away rushed me to hospital, got me fixed up and then looked after us both for the rest of the week, they could not have done any more for us. We have booked to go again in May 2008.

This was our visit to Turkey after recommendation from a friend who has been visiting Turkey for 7 years, twice a year, so we thought it must be good. We were a party of 6, myself and my partner and his 2 daughters with their husband and partner.
We warmed to the place straight away and as the days passed over we then grew to love the place. The hotel was brilliant especially with it only being small, the pool area was quiet so being 6 of us we had no problems with sun loungers.
The bar staff Onar & Ramazan were wonderful, such a good laugh and good company. We did have breakfast elsewhere a couple of mornings just for a change. The maids cleaning was exceptional and their small personal touches were a delight (we had flowers from our balcony put on the beds a couple of days). All the staff were very friendly and very helpful.
We certainly filled our holiday with the 2 day trip to Ephesus, a 12 island boat cruise, trip to Fetihye market and the turtles & tombs trip. We also visited Sugar Beach a couple of days which we thought was much better than the blue lagoon.
We ate out every night and the food was excellent every where we ate. We also had the Turkish night at the hotel and the food was excellent there also.
We are now home and planning a return trip in September with some of our friends and we have no hesitation in recommending the Karbel Beach Hotel or Olu Deniz. Roll on September that's all I can say.

Just got back from Olu Deniz. Stayed at Karbel Beach Hotel.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were brilliant, they were very helpful.
We ate at the hotel restaurant a couple of nights and the food was spot on. It was very close to the beach only about a 2 minute stroll. It's also very close to the shops.
If anyone is planning to holiday here check out the beach front bars, especially the very end bar at the end of the prom (you can't miss it its got bean bags scattered on the beach,) the staff that ran it were wonderful and we enjoyed many nights there.
Also check out the Secret Garden restaurant and bar, all the staff were fantastic and the food was lovely.
We would recommend Olu Deniz to anyone planning their first visit to Turkey, it was our first holiday to Turkey, and we'll definitely be going back again.

Having never been to Turkey before my friend suggested we go, we booked in September 2005 and the year couldn’t go past quick enough but when we got there was I surprised. The accommodation was excellent as was the staff and the food.
We ate out most evenings but as we stayed two weeks we had some evenings at the hotel enjoying the entertainment that they put on. We went the end of Sept / beginning of Oct so we didn’t expect too much entertainment but again how wrong we were - absolutely fabulous. As was the food in the hotel, I have never seen so much choice and as for the staff they could not be more helpful.
On one evening we had a horrendous thunderstorm and rain, the staff were there until 2 or 3 am when we all came back waiting with umbrellas to take us back to each block, they got soaked but we didn’t.
Fantastic holiday, hotel , staff, food etc. - need I say more, can’t wait to return again!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! Small hotel:- 30 rooms. But basement rooms not advisable if you suffer from claustrophobia!
Everywhere was basic but very, very clean! Staff were friendly i.e.:- reception staff a bit aloof, but they work hard to try and help you if they can!
Ozzy the barman was brilliant, good Luck in your future for your forthcoming marriage in April! Special thanks and Love to the maids/cleaners, who kept our rooms so clean and added their own little special touches, so very artistic and pretty and very much appreciated by us romantics! Thank you so much!
We hope to come back and stay at Karbel Beach in the very near future! We have recommended Karbel Beach to a lot of our friends and work colleagues! But hopefully when we come back it will be our little bit of paradise that we loved so much!
