hi just hade a great holiday at the karbel sun hotel it was superb the staff are so friendly ali the manager is so helpful and the staff go out of ther way to make sure you have a good time we have just booked again for three weeks next september we spoke to alot of people ther who have been going to the karbel sun for years cant wait for next september have been reading some comments about the hotel which wernt very good. well i think some people are hard to please. proffessional moaners i call them . so go two the karbel sun and you will have a great holiday and before i finish good luck to fatih in the army and hope to see him back at the hotel bob @jenny

We have just got back from 2 weeks in the Karbelsun hotel ....everything was excellent .the service ,the food.the staff all were helpful and charming ..Ali the manager can't do enough to help you.. if you have a problem he will sort it out immediatly...Mehmet the restuarant manager is great .all the staff are so helpful and cannnot do enough for you.....and the pool bar Jan and Mehmet are so funny always there like to laugh and joke with you ...The Hotel is clean,gardens are well looked after,nothing seems to be to much trouble for anyone ......There is a small library of books by the reception so you are never short of a book to read very good selection.....

Olu Deniz is a lovely resort ,plenty to do,lots of restuarants and bars,plenty of shops and a trip to Fethye market is a must...



We have already booked for next year cant wait ..

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Karbel Sun Hotel ! we have stayed at many places but never found a place where the staff and mangement have been so friendly and welcoming as the Karbel Sun we would definately recommend anyone to stay here they were so helpful right from our arrival at 4.00am until our departure 2 weeks later at 10.30pm ! Rooms are small but adequate and cleaned every day recomend paying extra for fridge (£1.00 per day) Ali the manager came round the pool and introduced himself asking if we had any problems and friendly chat every day which we were most impressed with ! MEHMET (head waiter) what a character a really good laugh and frienldy as ever ! FATIH (the joker) what can i say !!!!!!!!! just give him an arm wrestle !!!!!!!! SABAN (good morning) quiet lad took a while to get to know him but was friendly and a laugh !

The breakfast is nothing special but thats what you get in turkey! Every sunday the had entertainment (bellydancer or fire eater)the food was really good and plenty of it the belly dancer night was a real good laugh with the men having to the turns as belly dancers!!!!!!!

The resort is really nice and a visit to the blue lagoon is a must ! also go to the bar on the beach and chill out on the beanbags on the beach under the stairs!!!!!!!

Another must is next to buzz bar have a real turkish kebab followed by a chocolate chip waffle !!!!!! HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

A tip is to go off the main drag on to the main road down to the beach and there are several restaurants and bars that are a lot cheaper and better food than on the main drag especially if you want to watch football with a beer !!!!!!!!!example of price difference main drag lge beer 5.00YTL compared to 2.50-3.00YTL !!!!!!

Try the ATTA LAGOON BEACH restaruant very good and reasonable.

Overall a real good 2 weeks of chilling out and would definately go back to Karbel Sun.

We have just come back after a 2 week stay at the Karbel sun, very dissapointed the breakfast was just awful the tea had been stewing all season the coffee would take the fillings out of your teeth and dont get me going on the so called juice they served which was just coloured water although it did look pretty in Green, Red, Orange... the staff friendly but very annoying. This is our 2nd year at Olu Deniz it's so beautiful order the free transfer to Sugar Beach you will love it. Wont go back to the Karbel Sun.

Very poor hotel. Rooms were unclean and not decorated very well. If staying on the ground floor try to be moved as it feels like a dungeon as it gets no air or light into it. Staff are rude and ignorant and will not talk to you until you talk to them which is very strange for the turkish. Although some follow you into the town at night and can pester you. My advice: DO NOT GO THERE!!! EVER!!!

hey everybody, i have been to turkey 3 times now!!! and i have been to 3 different places but by far olu deniz was the best! we went to a little restarunt called joesphs... his food was fantastic!! we also ate in the hotel Karbel Sun a couple of special occasions! the atmosphere was outstanding!



the party i was with have been going to that hotel for 9 years previous and has loved every moment of it! they decided that they would take me and a cousin to share and experience what they loved soo much! upon arrival we were welcomed with open arms. the hotel staff were geniunly pleased to see us!



George the care taker took our bags up to our rooms and helped us get ourselfs together. while my cousin and i were introuduced to everyone! once we had settled we got changed and went down to the bar for a few drinks were we met the barmen memmet (he was like a big brother) and Eurcan (hes sweet).



the next day at breakfast the manager ali made his rounds to see how each and every individual was enjoying their holiday! which in my opininon was a good things as everywhere else i had been no one does that!



what really made me smile was how nice the hotel waiters and barmen and other staff were to the childeren! Fatih (he's soooo lovely i miss him) would always make you laugh when you need it and play pool with the guests and also play with the youngsters!



Our uncle was quite a protective man towards us (his 3 girls) that he asked the hotel could two staff members go out with us on a couple of occasion! we were looked after a great deal!! they went out of thier ways to protect us!!! =)



we also went to a little bar called "the Rose Garden" Ali and His staff were welcoming... we were looked after greatly there too!! we were on the bar dancing and singing... free internet also... everyone was entertained when the waiters Niyazy....:-) and Rambo... were up dancing and all the girls melted when they ook their tops off...i must say! As i am Irish... Ali's brother also owned the only Irish bar in the place (that i seen) he sent one of the waiters round to get me and my cousin (who is also irish) a t-shirt! which in my opinion is soo sweet!!



If i had to recomend a place for people to go and a place for them to stay i would recommend going to the "**"Karbel Sun Hotel - Oludeniz / Fethiye!!!!"**"



(There was a little incedent which took place while being on holidays there... when a party of guests came back about four am and started making a noise and started shouting abuse towards the little sceurity man Suat!! and to other guests! the hotel in my opinion handeled this situation very well...and reasurred the hotel guests that everything was sorted and to enjoy the rest of their holidays and not to worry! that party was punished for that...thats all i know!)

Just come back, 1st time ever to Turkey and can definately say i will be returning next year!

The rooms were on the smallish side but were ideal for what you needed them for!

The Pool was well maintained and clean, sunbeds were readily available for you and very clean!

Maid service was very good, cleaned rooms everyday, towels and bedding changed every 3 days!

The staff were really friendly and always up for entertaining you, will be sad not to see Fatih next year, Good luck in Army!

Security patrolled the hotel nightly and i felt very safe! Thanks Lucky!

Food was really nice and well presented, can highly recomend to anyone to have the Seabass in Salt!



The resort itself was really nice & friendly people throughout Olu Dinez!

Just got back from a 2 week stay at the Karbel Sun and am very dissapointed. First let me say that Olu Deniz is beautiful, and the majority of Turkish people you meet are absolutely lovely, it's just a shame that most of the hotel staff did not reflect this!

There were 8 of us staying in total, and every one of us found some of the staff to be extremely rude and unprofessional, with the exception of the cleaners and reception staff, whom were pleasant. Jan behind the bar is one of the rudest most ignorant people I have ever met. He made you feel awkward and even when you try to make conversation with him, he was very short with you. What ever you do DO NOT order a milk shake as it is such a huge effort and big deal for him to bother to make for you! Also caught him on a few occasions clearly making fun of hotel guests including myself and blatently talking about you in turkish to hotel staff around him. Also head waiter Memmet is only interested in you if you book to join in hotel events...if you don't he also is rude and distant. I found the gardener/odd job man strange and unsettling. I caught him on at least 3 occasions staring into my room when I was in there alone, which I found creepy ( I was on the ground floor). As for the manager...he needs to have more training as his skills leave a lot to be desired. After coming back to the hotel at around 2am one morning, a member of my party was approached by Memmet at breakfast in front of everyone and asked to go to the managers office. She was then repremanded like a naughty school child by the manager Ali, about making noise on her way back to her room at 2am. I have been to many places around the world and go away between 1 and 3 times a year, and I have never heard anything like this anywhere!!! It was completely inappropriate and unprofessional! Also found that the security staff were rude on occasion!

Rooms are basic, and need cleaning more often. Being on the ground floor we found that there were lots of ants on our balcony area and also saw mice droppings. Our room was very basic compared to other family members rooms on higher floors. The bathroom had a dirty shower curtain that kept falling down and when you used the shower the whole bathroom floor got flooded ( DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 202).

The hotel staff at the Karbel Sun's sister hotel the Karbel are very pleasant and would do anything for you. Our party spent several nights at events there that were fantastic! You also MUST go to the Rose Garden in the back streets, which is a brilliant restaurant/bar. Ali and his staff are great fun and very hospitable! You also must go and speak to Hasan, who works on one of the slush puppy stalls at the beach! He is so lovely and funny and speaks perfect English and would go out of his way to help you with anything! Cloud 9 and the Sultan restaurants on the strip are very nice! If you book any excersions you MUST book with Sky Sports. They have the best insurance policies and give really good deals! Ask to speak to Michael! My dad and cousin went paragliding, which was amazing and we went on the most wonderful private boat trip for the day, which was fantastic!!!

Overall, loved Olu Deniz and will definately return at some point although will be giving the Karbel Sun a very wide berth as I had always thought that hotel staff were supose to try to please their guests NOT the other way around!!!!!!

My partner and I have just returned from two weeks in Olu Deniz and had an absolutely fantastic time.

We stayed at the hotel Karbel Sun which was very clean, very friendly staff, no issues with security and very welcoming. I would definately return to the hotel Karbel Sun. It has a perfect location and a fabulous restaurant along with a great friendly atmosphere.

The staff made you feel like they were your friends and management always aproached to see if there were any issues, which of course there was not.



We booked trips with two different companies, whitewater rafting, scuba diving, turkish bath and Dalyan trip with Bloody Gorgeous, I found them very good and didnt feel at all that they tried to rip us off, however I wish we had paid in pounds cause we lost out on the exchange they gave us on Lira! Also we spent 40 Lira on the Dalyan CD photos which were of us on the trip and supposed to include 300 pics of the tombs and scenery etc but this was not on the CD when we got home. (when we looked up bloody gorgeous' website, sited on their brochour to email them about it, low and behold it doesnt exist. hmmmmm.....



We booked two other trips with Easy Riders, market trip and paragliding and although the trips were good the person selling us the trips did try to rip us off. We were told £40 per person for paragliding and then she tried to charge us £50 each by baffling us with the payment of the other trip too. My partner questioned it and she gave us some money back, which was still not correct, my partner took her calculator and said come on this is how much you owe us.



We were also promised that at the paragliding we could go togther so we could take photos of each other but they took my partner down before me and then he had to wait on me as by the time my instructer chose to go the wind had changed direction and I was stuck on the mountain for a further 40 mins in the hot sun. On the up side the Guide who took us to the Fethie Market (waste of time, we just went to the harbour and enjoyed the ghost town trip included in the price) was very friendly and funny, even though he was 40 mins late picking us up in the monrning.



I would recommend Cloud 9 for great food, brilliant staff and yummy cocktails, also the Sultan Amit for excellent traditional turkish food.

Blue Lagoon is not all that its cracked up to be but apparently sugar beach is amazing, see the Help! restaurant on the beach front for a free bus ride and dont forget your snorkling gear.

Superb holiday! best holiday in years. Had a real good laugh. Staff were superb and location was great. Only to things.. the rooms needed cleaning more often and the breakfast if you made it in time didnt have the best seletion.

Hi guys, our first holiday in Turkey this year we did not know what to excpect but we were overwhelmed with the resort we had chosen, it was absoluteley breathtaking we can't wait to go back next year and take our two sons with us, the hotel we could not fault at all from arriving to going home all the hotel staff could not do enough for us, they put a smile on our faces from morning till night they were fantastic and missed very much, the rooms were basic what more do you need when you only shower and sleep in them but they were very clean as was the rest of the hotel, we were bed and breakfast and we enjoyed our breakfast so much it was such a relaxed atmosphere, do try the hotel food in the evenings it is fantastic, the salt fish 3 course meal is a must we have never tasted fish as good!! whatever you do you must indulge in a cake in the afternoons as they are delicious! the hotel staff will come round the pool with a selection they are so naughty but nice!

We found the Turkish people to be the most friendly and enjoyable we have met, cleanliness throughout this resort was first class along with every bar and resteraunt, dont forget to have a Turkish bath it is fab! you can arrange this through your rep if you wish it is not at all exspensive and you feel like a different person when you come out your body will then be well prepared for your lovley golden tan.

I must say a big thankyou to Hannah our rep for holidays 4 u she was great and told us loads of usefull info, the reps are close at hand every day with great tips for your holiday.

All i can say is what a fantastic holiday my Turkish husband and i had.I can not fault any thing.The people and hotel were brilliant.Breakfast was a joy,with all the staff chatting to us and making us feel so welcome,Fatih is a darling and makes everyone laugh.Mehmet at pool bar is so sweet and makes the best cocktails.The Hotel is so relaxing and sitting round the pool all you can here is the birds singing.The food is brilliant and plenty to go around.Definately go to Fethia market on a Tuesday,its massive and i fell in love with the bags.One bit of advice i would say is take English money.Its used everywhere and at the markets you get real bargins useing it. Ali the manager is always there to make sure everything is ok !!!,Thankyou for making our stay so enjoyable Ali ,we will be back soon,we really cant wait x

Fantastic holiday!nothing at fault. The pool is fantastic and with a rubber ring and a cool beer is the closest thing to heven! The staff are fantastic and are always on hand to serve drinks. The waitor Rupert was a great help and loved the banter. The rooms are small but perfect size for a hobbit. but for all your doing in them are ideal. the beach is fantastic and the fishes are really good to watch, chase and finally cook for dinner.



If you are thinking about booking this hotel dont think any more just book it!its a good'un!
