After reading reviews I rang the hotel 1 month prior to our holiday to request 2 adjacent rooms on the quieter side of the hotel. I was assured this would be fine. When we arrived the receptionist was unwelcoming and sarcastic (which is certainly not typical of Turkish... more

We booked the Magnific after reading reviews on this website. However, there should be a warning that this hotel is not for those who want a relaxing holiday. The music was extremely loud and the beat unbearable. It went on until gone 4am. One night they had karaoke until... more

The Hotel Magnific, 'check-in and chill-out' slogan is spot on. The staff were more than polite and welcomed us kindly. They took our suitcases to our room as soon as we arrived. The en-suite room was a good size, clean and beautiful (although the view from the balcony was... more

Best Hol ever
Myself and three friend's stayed in Mag Hotel in July. What can I say...a holiday I'll never forget. The nightlife was brilliant and staff very friendly.Look out for Zeki in Central bar!! The hotel was basic but most suitable for young people. Bar open practically twenty four hours. Bar staff( Memmet, Erni) very entertaining especially at happy hour...Pump it up!!!Food was excellent and location was beautiful and centrally located. Last but not least I will never forget the reception manager!! We will definetly be back next summer.
Irish babes Kirsty & Sinead
We were there in sept for a week it was the best holiday ever, we were so despressed coming home it was awful. the nightlife was class we loved shakers and the x bar. we always ended up in the pool bar until the early hours of the morning dancing on top of the bar making our own cocktails and listening to our fav song 9 to 5. We had a real laugh with our bar staff they are sound and sexy. they really made the holiday for us, we have booked to come back in july, counting the days already!!! didnt see much of the room so cant really comment on it.....altogether it was a fab hol!!
what can we say...
Well what can we say, it was our second time staying in Magnific this summer. We had a blast. Staff in pool bar were as entertaining as always but ladies do not be fooled by there obvious charm, unfortunetly these lovely guys have about 10 girlfriends each and are always looking for another so be warey. as friends go though they are great. cleaning staff were superb and night life great, especially places such as x bar, central, shackers and smileys. Look forward to going back very soon.
great location
Myself and my boyfriend have just come back from a week at this hotel. It was the end of the season so things were considerably quieter, however the service of all the staff was excellent Adam (Mr Asda) does a brilliant job in the restuarant and snack bar lovely omellettes and club burgers. we also spent most nights at the pool bar which is open as long as you want it to be Ozzy and Memmet were particularly entertaining letting us choose the music all night. The location of the hotel is brilliant right on the beach and definately at the nicer end however there is no shallow end to the pool and accommodation wise definately 2 star very basic with dodgy light fitting and maid service was very minimal as they didnt seem to change the sheets and one day the bed wasn't even made.
bang bang crash??
I have been on holiday for the last 2 years for the last 2 weeks in July and hope to go back next year. The bar is open 24/7 but the music has allways stopped at apprx midnight, however there is very loud music from the property nextdoor which goes on til the early hours, the management will happily move you to a quiter area if they the room. Staff are all very friendly and Adam moving from accros the road has made a teriffic difference to the restaurant and snack bar, maid service slow but very willing to please. a great holiday
Week to remember
Well it was a week to remember the Hotel was nice rooms basic, pool was lovely and the staff where very helpful ideal place to stay very central right on beach front. There are some lovely resturants alone the sea front the one we liked was the mistral turn left out of Hotel beach entrance alone to the end next to the swings so if the kids get bored they can play, also its a must to go and see the Dream Girls adult night Wed & Thur night, market in bodrum on tuesday ideal for those bargain hunters and good fake copies.
disappointed
This hotel was very basic and not worthy of more than a two star rating, It is certainly not for the older age group due to the loud music they play until all hours of the morning, The rooms are dank and dismal and are not cleaned to the standard you would normally get in Turkey. Gumbet itself is a glorified Blackpool without the lights but with the loud music and can only be described as a nightmare for the older generation, this is not a place I would go back to nor would I recomend this hotel to anybody.
Magnific Hotel - Gumbet
The hotel is right on the beach. The pool is large and lovely. The rooms are a bit dingy, and definitely not big enough for a 3rd bed. But they are clean. However, our room was right beside the pool, and the music plays into the early hours of the morning! But, Turkey is a great place - people are so friendly, and the Magnific is in a good, central location for shopping, restaurants, bars etc.
Loved Gumbet
Stayed at the Magnific Hotel for 2 weeks in August and had a brilliant time. Would say that the music coming from the pool bar is too loud though late at night. Although on holiday, you're going to be out every night, sometimes if you want to get to bed a little earlier, it was almost impossible to sleep because of the noise. Apparently there were a lot of complaints about it to the reps and eventually it was turned down at approx. 1am or 2am. I would advise people going there to visit the town of Gumbet and not to stay ni the hotel complex all the time as it is really a nice town, with lots of bars, resteraunts and clubs.
Best Holiday Ever
We have just arrived back from the Magnific Hotel. It was outstanding, dont have one complaint. Really hated coming home. The bar staff were the best ever constantly entertaining everyone, all the staff were great. Hotel is basic but very clean. Myself and my boyfriend got engaged over there and the bar staff could'nt have done enough. They had a big cake, sparklers, champagne they really turned it into a great nite. We really miss them all. So we are defintily goin back next year. Anyone goin shortly tell Memmet & Erdie and all the rest that Emma, John, Mark & Linda (Mama) all said hi, and hope to see them soon
