Evridiki apartments were basic and clean.
We are a family of four with young children (7 and 8 years old) and our apartment was a little squashed - in the main bedroom there was a double and a single bed and in the other room it was just a single bed.
We did manage to squeeze the two single beds together for the children, which literally made one big bed for them touching the walls on both sides. The shower was hand held!
We were there for a week and the towels and sheets were changed once during the week.
The owners were very friendly and the pool was clean with lots of inflatable toys to keep the children occupied. There were plenty of sunbeds - but no cushions!
Fourka is a lovely quiet resort - the beach is only a 5 min walk from the Evridiki apts. it is a mixture of sand and shingle - plenty of sand for sand castle making and the water is shallow for a long way out.
Very nice Chillout bar on the beach. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, but our favourite was "Iris.” The lady who runs it, Tasula, is lovely and very friendly; the food is all home cooked, by her husband, and absolutely delicious - if you have any requests for special Greek dishes or fish, they are more than happy to oblige.
As you leave the Evridiki and walk into Fourka, Iris is the second restaurant on your right - well worth a visit. If you are looking for a quiet resort with a good selection of Tavernas then I can recommend Fourka.

Halkidiki beautiful despite recent...

Halkidiki beautiful despite recent fires destroying some of countryside. Fourka also pretty village with good restaurants, recommend Victoria and Jimmy's Pool Bar, fab!
Evridiki Apartments, Two blocks, if you are unlucky enough to be placed in the one nearest to the main road, it is extremely noisy (due to road surface and speed of cars rather than volume of traffic), so much so that you need to keep the patio doors shut! Stair railing outside apartment was broken and unsafe, banging loudly against the wall every time someone thumped up and down the stairs. Pool area nice and appeared clean. lady who ran the bar during the day was wonderful. Said to be a small family run hotel but if you are unlucky and end up with unsupervised rowdy kids running around screaming until the early hours, the owners will do nothing to curb this as adults will be spending money in the bar! Beware cockroaches, we have photos of ours as a keepsake!
Thomson tours, again beware, our experience was of paying for an expensive trip and then waiting on the day for the coach to arrive - waiting and waiting - no trip! No rep to direct us and no explanation until we phoned the 24 hour hotline! Trip did eventually take place the following day but with far less people as some had demanded money back through lack of trust and frustration. We went on the day Cruise which although expensive was worth while in the end.
Food provided on board extremely basic so don't get excited. The day as a whole was picturesque and the whole family enjoyed getting on and off the 'pirate' boat and exploring the area. Recommend using toilets elsewhere as those on board were not very clean and bins overflowing with tissue from previous trips. Also don't let your kids get excited about the Children's Reps as they are rather lame - You'd be better off entertaining the children yourself and don't expect a small prize if you win a competition as you only receive a certificate (great disappointment to the children).
Thomson in-flight meals, approximately two hours after eating the meal, I was violently sick and remained so for 48 hours! On advising Thomson, I was informed that it could be a viral infection but I had to the best of my knowledge not been in contact with anyone who was unwell and none of my family became ill following the incident, you decide if you would like to risk the food on board!
Hope you enjoy Halkidiki - it has lots to offer. Kalithea is well worth a day trip too.

Overall I think we had an average...

Overall I think we had an average holiday and would not go there again. Fouka is a very small place and there aren’t a lot of places to buy gifts from etc. but has a few supermarkets near by. Our room was very basic, 3 beds 1 double 2 single a tiny kitchen and bathroom with a small balcony looking over the pool.
1 thing I must warn you about the apartments is that they smell really bad. The cleaners are really good and have always got a smile, the owners are kind and keep everything in tip top condition. Its a very short walk away from the beach but I do advise you to buy these jelly shoes from a near by shop because they have sea urchins on the rocks and they do stick into your feet. The sea is crystal clear and warm. The weather was great, very hot.
There are some lovely food restaurants 1 I do recommend is the "Taverna Viktoria" which is the first restaurant you see when heading towards the town. You have to be careful of roads because they have no footpaths which can become very annoying. The pool is fab and quite big.

Lovely place, lovely people, lovely...

Lovely place, lovely people, lovely weather, lovely food! Went there for our honeymoon. Absolutely nothing to do and suited us fine as relaxation was the order for the day!
The hotel rooms are very basic, but you only really need them for sleeping and showering, etc. You can get air con at an extra price.
Enough eateries, and bars to keep you going, and bar snacks are available all day in the hotel, if you don’t fancy a stroll to the food.
If you prefer to eat in, however, there are a couple of supermarkets around the village probably a 5 min walk from the hotel.
For post dinner entertainment, there’s quite a few watering holes in the village, Jimmy’s and the Chill Out Bar ( great to watch the sun setting on the beach) are the closest and very friendly.
Not a banging place, but if a nice quite holiday is what your after this is the one. Great for kids and couples, definitely one for sun-worshippers!
