" After reading the previous reviews on... "

After reading the previous reviews on this place we were a little bit worried about it, but all our fears were put to rest once we arrived.

The hotel has been recently renovated, and we found everything to be clean and tidy. The bathrooms are adequate but only have showers rather than baths, which some of the girls in our group whined about, but it's ok!

The self catering facilities are more than adequate, with a hob, microwave and fridge - only thing it lacked was an oven, but again this is no biggie.

The hotel is about a 15 minute stroll from the village centre, but there's a free bus every 10 mins from 9am - 5.30pm and it's an easy walk after a night in the pub.

The only problems we had with the hotel was the ageing receptionist, who was rude and unhelpful and tried to charge us extra for bedding, but our rep sorted her out for us (the rep from Panorama was fantastic all through the week).

The village itself is fairly quiet, but there was enough to keep a large group of 20-somethings occupied for a week!

We'd recommend dinner at Le Jamy or Le Refuge (both next to Le Graal pub), they had brilliant food, were full of locals, and weren't too expensive.

This was easily one of the better ski hotels we've stayed in (in the budget price range - I'm sure catered chalets are much nicer) and I'd totally recommend it.

" Problems started in Turin Airport, no... "

Problems started in Turin Airport, no rep to point the way to the coach park almost 1/2 mile away. Arrived in resort at 11am to be told not only that we had no room till 5pm but nowhere to wait either but also were assured the luggage would be taken to the apartment & would be waiting for us. Killed time after the Airtours meeting until 5pm & then had to find own way to apartments - yes only 800 m away - BUT UPHILL!! Luckily I speak French and was able to find a shuttle bus to take us up the hill. Rep had disappeared by this point.... Once in the apartment block we found our luggage had been abandoned in the public car park!!! After a longer wait - rooms still not ready- we were asked to pay for sheets/towels and to leave my credit card incase of breakages... REP UNCONTACTABLE & VERY UNINTERESTED ONCE WE TRACKED HER DOWN - WELL THEY HAVE OUR MONEY NOW!!!

On departure we were told to leave by 9.15am...bus was picking us up at 2pm.more killing time. When we met others travelling back at the bus stop we found our luggage again abandoned and a Gendarme not at all happy about it. Waited for the Rep to arrive to direct us to one of the several buses waiting - NO SHOW - luckily again as a French speaker I identified which bus was ours and we made it back to the airport.

The skiing was incredible, weather perfect, conditions the best I’ve seen in 20 years of skiing. Couldn't fault the French staff in resort. Ski school brilliant for the kids.

Felt totally let down by Airtours and can't help feeling the package service paid for was a waste of time.... we would have been better off arranging it ourselves and saving a packet too.

We would recommend this resort for the skiing but avoid Airtours at all costs!!!...Oh and take your own toilet rolls and cleaning equipment for the apartments as you will be charged housekeeping!!!!!!!

" Felt abandoned by Airtours, had to... "

Felt abandoned by Airtours, had to find our own way to residence, up a long winding road, no transport after 6.15 pm stuck up a mountain not conducive to après ski.

Staff very abrupt not surprised as they had nothing but complaints, accommodation dirty, we had to clean it on arrival and again on departure, bedding and towels to be paid for, although we kicked up such a fuss it was refunded, awaiting card confirmation of this. Had to find our own way back on departure, no sign of rep.

Luggage abandoned on arrival in open air as reception closes 11.am till 5.pm ,again luggage dumped in open-air on public coach pick up area, SKI really good, Airtours the pits.

Oh yes, take your own cleaning materials and do not forget TOILET ROLLS, these are NOT provided. Were admitted to our rooms 5.30 pm and were being hurried to leave at 9.15 am.
