Hi.
First of all i'd like to say that Les deux alps is a great resort overall, its a nice town and the slopes are great!
However this accomodation is among the worst I have experienced. Everything about the place is a lie!
They claim you can ski to the door...only if you can board up over 300 steps from the town below on the wrong side of the resort!
You have to pay for every extra - €6 for towels each, €40 to watch tv. etc etc etc
our apartment didnt have a shower curtain, so as a result there was continually water on the floor, in my friends apartment the dishes were dirty in the presses, the grill didnt work, and some of the sockets were broken.
the hallways in the place were actually outside wich was just plain weird.
upon our arrival at the 'hotel' they had left our apts open but their was no one at reception to give us our keys....so we had to leave our apts unlocked with all our bags in them while went walked down the 300 steps to town to get food....security is obviously their major concen. Robbers this is an invitation.
But I have saved the best until last.
The day we were leaving a woman came to our apartment to check it she had one quick look and tried to charge us €60 to clean our apartment, €40 because it was messy, and an extra €20 because we complained that we didnt think this was justified becasue we had spent the previous night cleaning the apartment. We had folded the blankets and towels (which we had to pay extra for) onto the beds and couch and they complained they were messy.......they complained about how the chairs were up on kitchen table....we explained it was so we could mop the floor...
she was trying to charge us €120 for nothing!! so we asked to see her manager, approx 10 mins later she and her manager returned. he walked into the apt and started taking photos of everthing except before he took the photos he moved everything around to make it look messier. we complained about having to pay a €120 fine, he looked shocked and said "No, only €65"....the woman was clearly trying to rip us off.
and that was how it ended.....
we contacted our tour operator "Neillson" were the representives in the resort but "Panorama" were the operator we were booked through. and they agreed to refund any fines we received.
But i do not think this enough!! Panorama should cease doing business with these people and anyone that reads this should definately not stay here, unless they enjoy being lied to and ripped off.
oh and the best of all the hotel manager was so cockey he left me his card when i asked for it because he believes they can continue to get away with this daylight robery
