We spent 2 weeks at The Dream Studios...
10 / 10
Aug 2007, Mr P Lamble

We spent 2 weeks at The Dream Studios in July and would like to say how much we both enjoyed our stay.
From the first day that we arrived and were met at the entrance by Nickos the eldest son, we were treated like long lost friends rather than just another couple of customers. The whole family of father Cristos, mother Ella and the two sons Nickos and Costas made us feel that nothing was too much trouble to them and we would go as far as to say that it is probably one of the the best holidays that we have ever had.
Every morning we had a cooked breakfast in the bar area by the pool where we were served by Anastasia who always had a big smile on her face no matter what time she had been working till the night before. They also did nice snack meals during the day at very reasonable prices.
The apartments which had been recently redecorated were kept absolutely spotless by the staff and the gardens were also immaculately kept. We didn't meet anyone during the 2 weeks that we were there who had a bad word to say about either the apartments or the family as a whole. Indeed all the family went out of their way to keep everyone entertained especially the two sons Nickos and Costas who are a credit to their parents.
The apartments are in a nice quiet area a mile or so outside of Tsilivi but there are a number of nice restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartments where we dined out every night. The bus stop was only a few hundred metres from the apartments so if we didn't feel like walking into Tsilivi usually because of the heat, it would only cost just over 1 euro and even a taxi only cost 7 euro if we decided to go into Tsilivi at night.
There are a couple of local beaches within easy walking distance of the apartments which were very clean but we tended to go into Tsilivi or Zante town most days where there was always plenty to do and also because we had been there on a previous occasion and knew our way around.
Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending The Dream Studios to other holidaymakers who enjoy a quiet and restful holiday in peaceful surroundings and we fully expect to be visiting the apartments at some time in the future.

Jun 2007, Mrs J Brennan

This is the third time I have been to The Dream and it only gets better. A warm and friendly greeting from the family is just the start.
The apartments are newly refurbished (not that they needed it) and all now have air conditioning. The whole area remains beautifully peaceful, clean and relaxed. The gardens are flourishing and lovingly looked after by Cristos and Ella.
Nothing is too much trouble for the family to accommodate - from snacks to booking taxis, from imaginative cocktails to a pedicure while you enjoy a drink. I can't wait to go back again next year and catch up on all the news and developments.
The nearby Ampula Beach is kept beautifully clean and the bar at one end and the Taverna at the other are well stocked with all kinds of food and drink and their staff are friendly and helpful. There are other restaurants in the area that are also friendly and welcoming. For a relaxing holiday this can't be beaten.

We have now been to the Dream...

Jan 2007, Mrs T M Harvey

We have now been to the Dream Apartment twice last year, as we enjoyed it so much the first time round.
There was my family which consisted of two thirty something’s, two seventy something’s and one very active seven year old and they still managed to cater for all our needs.
It was clean very clean, in fact the pool was cold but in the heat you need it.
The rooms are basic and clean of course but had all we needed. The family where so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you they really love children not bothered if they are a little loud sometimes.
There isn't much for young children but our son didn't get bored.
I would recommend the Dream to anyone who likes peaceful surroundings some of the time, as you can get to town on the bus or by taxi, the local tavernas are OK.
If possible hire a car and see the island it will take your breath away. We like it so much we are back there this year.

Oct 2006, Miss D Fischer

We have recently spent 1 week in The Dreams apartments in Tragaki. The distance from the airport is approx. 15 km and a taxi should not cost more than EUR 20.00.
The apartments are located approx. 2km outside of Tsilivi. A walk into the main resort of Tsilivi takes about 30 mins and taxis cost EUR 7.00.
There are some reasonable restaurants a short walk from the accommodation and a lovely little bar (Paradise Bar) run by Jorje. Definitely worth a visit as he makes lovely cocktails.
The apartments are lovely and clean all with Balcony. Cooking facilities were very basic and there could have been some more crockery and cutlery. Apparently some improvements are being undertaken at the end of this year.
There is a small supermarket just across the road and a snack bar is on site, offering a selection of salads, pizzas, burgers and toasted sandwiches at very reasonable prices.
The pool and surrounding area is kept very clean and well with free sun loungers.
The description of the apartments states that it is situated 5 min from a quieter part of the beach. We were not at all impressed with this beach - we were disappointed to find that this wasn't a sandy beach but in fact extremely stony and it was very short and narrow with a lot of rubbish lying around.
The closest larger beach is probably in Tsilivi, however we did not like this beach neither. Whilst this was a sandy beach, again it was extremely narrow and busy.
The sea is beautiful and clear and very calm so suitable for children.
We hired a scooter for EUR 15.00 per day to discover the island. Make a trip to the Lighthouse if you can and don't miss the old windmill. From the windmill you can walk down to the sea and have a swim near the blue caves. Truly amazing.
Last but not least you must go and have dinner in 'The Olde Vineyard' in Tragaki. It is a beautiful traditional Greek taverna with lovely food and great wines. They always have fresh fish, which they serve grilled - absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, although slightly more expensive than other places. Our meal with starters and wine still only came to EUR 35.00 though.
We felt that the island of Zante was nice, however very commercial. The main resorts have one English bar/pub next to the other with Quiz Nights, Karaoke and Football on every night and it was easier to find a place serving all day English breakfast than a proper traditional Greek taverna.

This was an excellent resort,...

This was an excellent resort, spotlessly clean and friendly throughout. We arrived at 6.30 am after a 12 hour delay (Never ever fly Monarch worse airline in the world). To be greatly warmly and shown to our room. After a rest we asked if there was a room with air con or could we hire a fan. For only 5 euros a day we were given a room with fantastic newly installed air con ( I would recommend these). The pool was great and there was always free sun beds, the bar area was friendly and the owners encouraged an atmosphere where everyone got with everyone else. There were families, older people, young people and same sex partnerships there and all seemed to be having a great time. The only downside and it is a tiny one is that it is a bit far from Tsivilli, we were fine as we had the 14 euros needed for a return trip but if you were on a budget I would imagine it could rack up the cost. All in all a brilliant resort and I would highly recommend - I'll be back.

A fantastic place to stay. Myself and a friend booked a late holiday to Zante. Unfortunately, we booked to go to Laganas which was a mistake. Hell on earth.
The hotel there was so disgusting that we insisted on being moved and, luckily for us, there was a studio available at the Dream. The studios are spotlessly clean with large fridge and even a TV! The pool area was beautifully clean with plenty of sun beds available. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and checked continually whether everything was okay.
There are some lovely restaurants just around the corner, or for a busier nightlife the resort of Tsilivi is close by. A really nice place to stay for young families, couples or friends seeking a relaxing holiday without having to dodge the drunken idiots who disgrace our country in Laganas.

Jul 2005, Mrs J Gordon

Trakagi is approx 1.5km from the main resort of Tsilivi. It is quiet though has a lovely beach and several restaurants. The Dream Studios are family run and are very clean. There is a lovely swimming pool and gardens. The family are very helpful and friendly. There were several Greek families holidaying there while we were which I think speaks for its self. There is a regular bus service to Tsilivi and beyond and a taxi ride to Tsilivi is around 7 euros though during the day we walked to the beach in Tsilivi. The beach is amazingly clear and so clean. We found an area where the sunbeds were on a grassy area but only yards from the sea brilliant for not getting sand in your sandwiches! The toilets in this area of the beach were also very nice and absolutely spotlessly clean. Tsilivi is a very busy resort, which is geared for the family/couples market. We didn’t see many large of groups of young men/woman. All in all I would recommend Zante wholeheartedly and Trakagi and the Dream Studios in particular for a family or couples holiday.
