Returned on the 8th July 2005 from a fantastic 2week holiday in the Dacil. Great Buffet Style Restaurant but occasionally not a lot of English Selection, therefore ate out most evenings.
Some of the English breakfasts were hotdogs most mornings then real sausages the next. Toast on cheese was delicious though, great cheese they have there.
One huge complaint that I would have is the way all the drinks machines are turned off about 10.20am at breakfast, as breakfast ends at 10.30am. Most guests are still arriving just after 10am, so they should close the doors and leave the machines on for the guests who are still eating.
Hotel itself is excellent and very well looked after, staff are very friendly and children’s entertainers great with the kids but should change their songs, 2weeks of hearing Hey Baby and Cha Cha Slide is a bit off putting.
Food at the pool bar is great, best chips I have ever tasted. We spent most evenings in the Bluebell Pub, what a time we had there, we met so many people and the kids had lots of pals to hang around with. Slowboat Chinese just across from the trampolines is ace to eat out in, just tastes like home. We would return to the Dacil again and again, just wish they would cater more for our taste buds.

Cannot believe other reviews. This is the second time my family have stayed at this hotel - and we are already looking to book again for next year.
Hotel is clean, bright and airy, rooms with lounge are good in size and always kept clean by the daily cleaner. All the hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. The food is excellent, with a wide choice - including children’s. The entertainment is excellent, especially for the kids - with sports during day, and discos, games and cabaret during the night.
The entertainment team of Arianna, Nico, Marta, Arian and Marian made our holiday - and I hope Nico is still there next year, as he was a fantastic laugh (gorgeous too!).

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and we had a brilliant time. The hotel and room (11th floor) were spacious and spotlessly clean. Reception staff pleasant and very helpful.
The restaurant was also spotless and spacious. The food was delicious, varied, hot and plentiful. There was always an alternative e.g. pork chop or fish, which the chef would cook fresh for you while you waited. Another guest complained to us that she found the food awful and never hot but I think some people just like to complain. She was certainly in the restaurant for every meal so it couldn’t have been that bad.
Breakfast was sometimes chaotic but only due to the greed of some guests who were eating for England and taking out food which was specifically forbidden.
Drinks were a little expensive but there were so many bars outside, who would want to sit in a hotel bar when it's 20 degrees centigrade in the fresh air?
Panorama rep did not turn up for our 'Welcome Meeting', just as well we had been to Tenerife before so knew our way around.
Overall a wonderful break. Will definitely be going back.

After reading the reviews on this site we were a bit apprehensive as to what to expect.
When we landed in Tenerife at 2pm we were pleasantly surprised as t how hot and humid it was for late October. We were last of the coach and we were the only ones so getting our key from the friendly reception staff wasn’t a problem.
We got to our room on the 11th floor, which was clean spacious, with panoramic views of the pool and sea only one bad point there was no air conditioning. Only floors 13 to 15 had it which were know as superior rooms at extra cost.
The lifts were hit and miss, they tendered to brake down quite often. There were two lifts, to floors 1 to 7 and 8 to 15, which was the one that used to break down all the time so we would get the lift to floor 7 and walk the rest of the way. The children did get tired of this especially after a day trip.
We went for a dip in the pool shortly after checking in which we found to be clean with large nice well kept gardens they even had a crazy golf in the hotel grounds. We arrived one week premature of the school holidays, so you can imagine our embarrassment when our 3 children jumped in the pool and disturbed the friendly pensioners peace. We decided to sunbathe while the children play in the pool, which was relaxing after our flight but not for my wife as a large tree branch fell off the tree above us and missed her by an inch. We told the manager who was exceptionally friendly all through our stay, but the maintenance staff were not to good as it took them a week to move it maybe because they were to busy cleaning the pool and windows on all 15 floors. The staff were nice and helpful.
The bar prices were very expensive and we did try to avoid. The food was nice fish, pork frankfurter, pasta always chips, my children are picky eaters and they was always something they liked. Plenty of desserts to choose from and we never went hungry.
The entertainment during the day was ok Bowling Archery, Darts, Football ,Water polo and the entertainment staff did try hard to get everybody involved but at night times it got a bit boring the kids disco, bingo and cheesy magic and fashion shows so we headed off in the direction of the beautiful beach. The Irish Times is a must great night for everyone including families. Whale watching is a great afternoon out 18 euros adult children under 12 free. We went twice and found you saw alot more whales on a cloudy day, and not forgetting the waterpark. Ignore the timeshare freaks, you win every time ha ha you must have a credit card to claim your prize- well that says it all.
Well all in all a great holiday. Hotel was lovely and what you expect from a 3* hotel. We will visit LOS CRISTIANOS again but not just yet we have many other islands to visits.

Flyglobespan airplane was an excellent flight, staff were more than helpful. No kidding, that was the best part of the holiday.
Rooms were clean and were spacious, clean towels when you wanted. Food was disgusting to say the least. Out of 8 choices of food 6 were fish based, had to eat out every night. Service was poor at the bar and also expensive, e.g. Southern Comfort and lemonade was 7.50 euros (2euros was for dash of lemonade). Entertainment was non-existent for kids or adults, so overall a very poor hotel, so giving it 1 out of 10 is being kind. Needless to say I won’t be going back there again.

A nice friendly hotel, although not as clean as I would have liked. Plenty of entertainment all round, especially for the children. My daughter got a lot of benefit out of this. Pool was quite small and not the cleanest. The food was ok, but not much choice for children. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the surrounding area was nice, with a view of the harbour from the balcony. I would not use this hotel again

Entertainment good for children. Family rooms plenty of space - separate bedroom although asked for low floor I was given the 11th floor, all family rooms high up. Major problem - the wall around balcony very low - nervous wreck by time I left. Food ok some nights

Attended with my wife & daughter-Children’s Entertainment was smashing and no qualms there. although a few new party dances could be learned (have they done The Court of King Caractacus !!!)...fantastic team in attendance. Not bad for adults but we tended to favour O’Flaherty’s when Chloe had her nights in Bam Bam Club. Sadly the food in our second week was disappointing and appeared "tired" after being under the lamps...not enough children’s choices as well..... Breakfasts were ok with the omelettes top notch.
B & B next time as the choice of restaurants in town is fine.
Sad that the hotel deemed to increase bar prices without warning on 1st August...however many overcame this by visiting the local Netto....5Euro on a jug of Sangria is taking the Mickey guys !!!! .
What did anger me was the disgraceful sunbed run at 8.30-the behaviour of so called adults had to be seen to be believed-for a brief few seconds manners went totally astray....how no one is seriously hurt as they stampede down the slope is beyond me ....... all in all though we had a good time in this clean hotel with friendly staff and will probably visit again although not in the high season
