Reviews of Bumpers Inn Hotel, Banff, Canada
Bumpers Inn Hotel, Banff
Bumper’s Inn offers affordable accommodation and warm friendly service. Our quite peaceful location is surrounded on two sides by natural forest with Cascade Mountain looming in the background. Elk, Deer and a variety of other animals are a common site on the motel property. We are situated a block off Banff Avenue, away from the crowds. We also offer the unique opportunity to relax on our courtyard deck or on one of our second floor balconies. A bus stop for the downtown shuttle bus is adjacent to the property, or you may choose to walk to downtown, a fifteen to twenty minute walk.

Went on a family ski / snowboard holiday. We took our own snowboards etc. One of the many hire shops is located just across the road for those that hire kit. I was a bit nervous about the two star rating. There was no need to worry. The accomodation was clean, warm and dry. Possibly some people would deem it a little basic. The room had a television and the room is of a reasonable size with good sized bed, furniture etc. The bathroom was a reasonable size and had a shower over the bath. It appears to have a two star rating as its located on the edge of town. However dont let that put you off. The staff are very approachable and keen to help. Across the road from the hotel is the first pick up point on route to the ski slopes so you are more or less always on the bus first. Thats a big plus in my book as we went to ski. The other bonus is that Bumpers steak house is on your doorstep. Literally fall out of your room take a few paces and you are there. Just past that at the petrol station is a well known pizza company and if you are on a budget you can get a pizza to go. Look out for their deals. These are excellent value for money particularly if you have kids or teenagers who are a bit fussy. There is also a japanese restuarant across the road from bumpers inn.
The walk into town takes about twenty minutes on foot or a couple of minutes in the taxi. Do go to the spaghetti factory in town its a great little restaurant. All the bars and restaurants are good. Again for those on a budget there is a food court in town in the shopping arcade downstairs. The locals in Banff are very hospitable. Its a great part of the world for skiers and boarders of all ages.
