hi, me and my partner have just returned from our holiday in marlita.
it was fantastic we both enjoyed ourselves. the hotel is spot on and always very clean. the staff and maids ae always very friendly and the rooms were always stocked each day. we both believe the hotel deserves more recognision than it is getting as the pool and facilities are fantastic. we both will be definatly coming back next year to the same hotel and we cant wait. the entertainment staff were also brilliant they kept us very entertained. even though we were self-catering the last three days of our holiday we did eat at the hotel and the food was fantastic their was always something their for everyone.

what a great holiday we have just had at marlita beach, we were ground floor block A, we went self catering as family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant). even though its next to the sea, its not a great beach, but the pool definetly makes up for that. a bit of info before you book just to give you more info before you arrive, if you want to come on a half board holiday, then book self catering and upgrade when you get there, its 12euros p/day, book 5 days & get 1 day free, book 11 days & get 2 free, and the food is great too. protaras is 15-20 mins walk up a dirt track along the beach, the reps are great, and it seems as though they work 24hrs a day with the kids cos they are always around. if trvelling to town then get a bus and not a taxi, its so much cheaper, A block has a lift and most rooms can see the sea from them.

Just got back from marlita beach very relaxing holiday great location next to the beach, excellent pool and gardens, room left alot to be desired.
We were given a room in C block room looked ok,this was ground floor studio ,first thing you noticed on arival was a very strong musty smell, for a place with these kind of temperatures you would never beleive it could be damp.Next day we asked for someone to check it out never saw anyone attend to this but didnt hold much hope as this problem wouldnt be sorted overnight . This hotel is not a four star a three at most the rooms in C block need a good refurb as i only saw this block ,talking to others they had a similar opinion too .
In general the hotel is nice entertainment is good ,food is good and staff are friendly and pool and grounds are excellent.

Just came home from 2 weeks at Marlita Beach. We were in C block. Apartment was basic but comfortable. Maid came every day. Kids had a brilliant time and did not want to come home. The kids club was great and gave us lots of peace during the day. The beach was about 1 minute walk away. The entertainment in the evening was great especially if you joined in and didn't just watch. We hired car and found driving around was very easy. The only downside to Cyprus was that everything was quite expensive since they joined the Euro in January. They are supposed to be revamping and rearranging the layout of the stage, park bar etc when the season ends. I would love to go back next year.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at Marlita Beach and the positives were we have visited the area numerous times and love it. The location was brill with plenty of room in the gardens which lead onto the lovely beach and a lovely pool. The balcony was filthy but the view spectacular we were in block D 3rd floor. The studio was grim and the apartment block in general. The maid visited daily and provided clean towels although her cleaning skills left alot to be desired. We never used the bar or facilities only visiting reception on a couple of occasions. We ate out every night locally and used the dining facilities of the Anastasia Beach Hotel which we have stayed in previous. The Marlita Beach meets 4* for location but 2* or less for accomodation. I would not return to Marlita Beach but would not allow the accomodation to ruin this years holiday as I spent most of the time in the pool area or beach anyway.

Hi, just back from this resort and thought it was fantastic. It was very well maintained and rooms cleaned and towels changed every day. The pool area is also a great layout and also very clean, the view also from the bar and pool is outstanding. I have read a few reviews on this resort before I went on my holiday which I found to be quite off putting, but it just goes to show that some people are not easily pleased. I would def recommend this resort to all and would def go back again!!!!!

Just returned from Marlita Beach. Found the apartments very spacious and the maid went into bathroom and changed towels every day and cleaned toilet although did not actually 'clean' the rest of the place. But agree with all the comments no way was this a 4 star and it isn't as one commentator stated because 'there is no pleasing some people!' It's a fact. It's a 3 star not 4. Place needs a re-vamp to make it 4 star but view from balcony was stunning. I was expecting a bit more luxury for 4 star the place looked tired. Furniture dark old fashioned wood and a bit battered looking.
Food served was basic but large portions. Drinks reasonable with 2 happy hours serving really cheap cocktails. Staff on the whole friendly but didn't see much of rep. Entertainment not very good and didn't start until 10pm each night. Which is too late I think if you have kids. There was bingo and a disco for kids while we were there. The main public area needed a revamp with more comfortable chairs it was all very basic with a big TV screen showing football matches.
I too never saw pool being hosed down which is done with most pools also met quite a few who were using pool who were not staying there.
In Protaras highly recommend eating at Oscar opposite McDonald I asked 2 taxi drivers where they would recommend to eat and they both named this place. They were right and the cuisine was mainly Italian but best food we had all week and very reasonable.
Protarus itself is full of British pubs and karioke bars. Not much 'Cypriot' influence if you are looking for that. Think next time I would go for somewhere more authentic but still enjoyed it.

Was at Marlita last week in May ,1st week June and must say myself and my partner had a wonderful time. The apartment we were given was in block D on 3rd floor and was spotless ,the view every morning was of the ocean and overall holiday was very relaxing and the complex i would give a 3+ the staff were pleasant and friendly.
The rooms were cleaned almost on a daily basis and towels changed regularly.
We walked a few times into Protaras main shopping area, were there were plenty of shops and restaurants, but also found lots of good food in the local general area of Marlita , the food inside marlita was also worth a try.
The only problems we encountered were on arrival and departure , we were delayed both ways
I would recommend Marlita to anyone planning a relaxing holiday

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Marlita Beach and were quite surprised considering past reviews. The 1 bedroom apartment was really spacious and adaquately equipped for 4. Towels were changed every day and beds changed once during the week. No evidence of floors being swept or mopped at any time even before we arrived and there was dust and cobwebs throughout the room. The pool area was very clean with plenty of sunbeds around the pool and the garden area which faced on to the beach. The meals at the pool side snack bar were well presented and quite large and very tasty. The staff were really friendly who worked there (Samantha and Angela). The entertainment staff were friendly and encouraged holiday makers to join in the activities. Entertainment on a night time was ok some nights being better than others. The holiday was enjoyable and the children (11 and 5) really enjoyed themselves. We walked to Protaras on a few occassions which was a very pleasant walk and only took 25mins. We would give this accommodation a 2+ rating as it is in need of refurbishment. Mosquitoes were a big menace in the apartment and the insect repellant that was supplied did nothing at all to irradicate the problem.

I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Marlita Apartments Protaras with my partner.
I must say I was a bit apprenhensive about the previous reviews I had read about this particular location, Ican only say please take all with a pinch of salt.
We have had the most relaxing week, We were given a one bedroom apartment, very spacious with small kitchen with cooking facilities, all clean and wanted for nothing in the way of utensils. our apartment was kept beautifully clean with daily maid changing towels, beds twice and always with a smile.
Nice little friendly restaurants within walking distance, Protaras a 5 min taxi ride away costing about 7 euros.
The pool areas were spotless - with loads of sunbeds, parasols etc. There were other grassy areas which you could use if you so wished. The poolside bars etc. were clean and served good edible food - with chatty staff
ONE COMPLAINT WE HAD WAS THE AIR CONDITIONING COULD BE COOLER - I WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK - Well done Marlita Staff for all your work.
