couldn't have asked for a better location in Gumbet. Right next to the beach and all of the shops and bars, but far enough away that you don't hear anything once you have returned back to your rooms. All of the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.... more

The hotel is in a great location but it's dirty the cleaners only changed the sheet once in 2 weeks. The breakfast was disgusting you even had to ask for orange jucie, the staff were rude and not helpful. Gumbet is such a great place and this hotel was horrible. Don't be... more

Gumbet is too expensive, a night out costs an arm and a leg the food is expensive too although some of it is very good. It's a real hassle going out whether to shop or eat you can't stop to look at a menu without them hassling you to go in, same with the shops if you stop... more

The best hotel in Gumbet! Without a doubt!
This is the best hotel in Gumbet, if not Turkey! All the staff are fantastic, very friendly, will do anything to help. We have been going to Gumbet/Bagevleri since 2001 and love it. Renzo the bar manager is doing a great job, his menu is fantastic, the food is great....try the 'Amphora Kebab' from the Bagevleri....it comes in a big pot complete with fire, great to watch it being served and even better to eat!!!! The family who own this hotel are fantastic too....all so friendly....could not ask for more! To sum it up, we have been coming here since 2001...the rooms are lovely and clean, excelent staff all round, fab food in the restaurant, great pool area, and the hotel is in an ideal location....1 minute fro the hussle and bustle of the resort centre, 2 minutes from the beach,,,,ideal!!! Well worth a visit....even if you are booked into a hotel somewhere else in Gumbet, try the Bagevleri restaurant, Renzo's chef is fantastic, as is Renzo himself and his staff!!! Couls not ask for more from this hotel, as all the staff give it their all! Terry(boro) and Lisa.x

Our second home!!!!!!
We have been coming to the Bagevleri every year since 1993. We absolutely love it. We feel part of the family now! Our children have grown up with everyone there. Would recommend it to anyone. Everyone at the hotel go out of their way to please you. Nothing is too much trouble. We can't fault it. Will keep going back for more!!!!!
love this hotel
i have eturned to this hotel year after year always to find every one friedly and eager to please. nothing is to much trouble for the staff and owners as it is a family run hotel.bar staff great, tangu always there to help, and hadi too.lele always happy and wlling to help. rooms are clean and also the 2 pools.the resturant serves good food from toasties to steaks and of course turkish food.breakfast is typical turkish and very nice.ive been3 times this year and cant for wait next year.fatima ,one of the owners is very kind.i meet people each year that go back year after year. why not try it , you will defo return.lynn
Brilliant - best holiday ever
I would recommend this hotel to everyone. this is the second time i've been to the Bagevleri and i will be going back two times next year. I always have the best holidays here. It's like going to my other family. Fatma, Ziba, Hadi and Tanju make you feel so welcome and ensure that you have the best time. We met some lovely people when we went in Oct from Liverpool area and they also made our holiday really special. We're going to meet up with them next year. Adem was a true star for our holiday as he was the only bar man and did an amazing job of keeping us all happy. His special cocktails were also really nice! Our room was amazing and was cleaned everyday. Could not have found a thing wrong with the whole holiday. Hotel is situated just outside of the main street in Gumbet so it is quiet when you want it to be. Went to the some of the bars and they were fantastic - really friendly. Restautant opposite the hotel is also fantastic - meals are really high quality and very good value. Can't wait to visit again next year.
fun fun fun!!!!!!
I have been going to the sultan/bagervleri for 4 years now and always return!! its the best place and tanju will do anything to help you!! Mehmet (colourful) is a great bloke he may be a flirt and have a new girl everynight whatever he tells you but hes lovely!! Zafer is a good friend and i keep in regular contact with him!! he looks out for me but has a girl every night!! then theres the cute ones who talk little english like ozer, adem, mutlu and mehmet (little) they are so sweet trying to have conversations with and they generally try!! They all make the holiday and i have heard of no comnplaints whilst i have been there!! Hadi is cute but is very shy but wouyld do most things to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Ziba is lovely shes my best friend and always likes to learn new english words and have them explained!! Then theres laila she is great except she feels the cold easily and wears lots of jumpers!!! I will be going back there next year!! they can count on it and everyone normally returns!!!
good but no cigar
At bagevleri 5th -19th sep and enjoyed our holiday profusely , only thing is 98% of our holiday was spent outside the hotel , compared to bar street and the beech activities the Bagevleri was pretty dull and un-exciting, the staff were fantastic and a great laugh , but sorry the Turkish night was a boring disaster. A big thanks to tanju for making the most of our hotel room muck up (we didnt get one) , although disapointed we were being told we couldnt stay because of an over booking we did get alternative arrangments made within 15 mins. definetly go back to gumbet but will try a different hotel next time!
Looked good but too noisy and dirty
First impressions Looks Good but looks can be deceiving Having returned three weeks ago from two weeks at the Bagevleri Hotel. On arrival at about 2.30pm in the afternoon we had no problems booking into the hotel although we had to wait for an hour until the room was ready. Other guests arriving with us were told that there was no booking for them or that there rooms would not be ready until the next day and they would have to stay overnight at alternative accommodation. The rooms were basic but reasonable in size with a large balcony. There was a safety deposit box in the room along with a television, fridge and air conditioning. The safety deposit box cost £ 12.00 per week and the air conditioning a further £ 25.00 per week. The air conditioning was either on or off no adjustments could be made to it. The maid emptied the toilet bin each day and that was it no cleaning of the rooms or making of the beds. The only time she actually cleaned the room was the day before we left to come home. The pool area and the sun beds were also quite dirty. We did not see them being cleaned the two weeks we were there. The worst thing about the hotel was the music. It started at 10 am each day and finished when the last drunk went to bed 3 or 4 am the next day. The music was played at full volume all day long and the drunks encouraged to sing at the top of there voices all night long. We even had a Turkish family party one night with about 50 guests singing and dancing until 1 am in the morning. When guests complained about the noise they were told it was the hotels policy to cater for the guests who wanted to sit at the bar all day and night drinking and spending money in the hotel. This is certainly not a hotel to just sit, relax and chill out in. its more an 18 to 30s type hotel frequented by loud and foul mouthed drunk 40 to 60 year olds. This is certainly the poorest and dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in during our several visits to Turkey or in fact anywhere abroad. Apart from the hotel we did actually have a good holiday in Gumbet with great boat trips on the Hotel Baba boat.
want to go back desperately....
a big hello to all the staff who made me and my two friends very welcome.an extremely big hello to Nemo, Zaf and Tanju as they made our holiday one to remember.Would reccomend this resort and hotel to all age groups as there is something there for everyone.myself, amie and jade will definetely be returning to Gumbet next year hopefully for longer than two weeks.luv you all love faye, jade and amiexxxxxx xxxxxxx
best bloody hotel in turkey
ok well i just want to disagree with whoever wrote the last review. i think i know who you are because i was also at the bagevleri at the same time as you. all i want to say is that i go there every year and it is the happiest 2 or 3 weeks of my life. the hotel staff are second to none, yes the boys are young and single and flirt with the girls so what, they are never inappropraite or unprofessional. tanju, mehmet, mutlu, mehemt, zafer, adem and ozer are a fantastic bunch of lads and good friends. i was one of the people who likes to say up until late isnt that what holidays are about!! but the hotel always turned off the music around 2 so that people can sleep but they cannot expect people to just go to bed because the music has stopped. i totally disagree and i love this hotel and its staff and i count tanju as a very close friend. i am actually hoping to go back in 3 weeks so if any of you read this ill see you then. amd to everyone else this hotel is family run and welcomes famillies and sigle people and it caters for all.
