Very friendly hotel, staff very helpful, happy - it appears that a lot of people return year after year, which is the best advert of all.
Hotel clean & tidy, our room was cleaned everyday
Hotel situated just off main street so nice a quiet at night.
Beach only 5 mins walk.
Food at hotel restaurant good and resonable prices.
We enjoyed it so much that we are returning again this year in September.
We worth a stay

Gumbet is too expensive, a night out costs an arm and a leg the food is expensive too although some of it is very good.
It's a real hassle going out whether to shop or eat you can't stop to look at a menu without them hassling you to go in, same with the shops if you stop to look they're hassling you to buy it all gets to be a real nuisance.
Booking a trip is just as bad and there's really not a great deal of difference in the prices, you'll find they take you here there and everywhere trying to get you to buy ceramics, local wine etc before and after the trip.

Not the best hotel in Gumbet it's as basic as you'll get although in a good location. cleaning isn't good but the restaurant is excellent and pool is fine with plenty of sunloungers.
If you've ordered satillite tv it's very difficult to get and they can't be bothered with compaints, i had a £20 english note stolen from the baggage room so be careful.
I'd never stay here again if i return there are many hotels superior to this one.

Well, what can i say.. Just back from holiday today!! Went with a few of my family and have been going the Bagevleri for the last 8 years, never once dissapointed. The Hotel is a family business, Fatima, Hadi, Mustafa and Zeba are usually around and are very friendly. The staff are great, Renzo (George as we know him), Peter (crazy, but fun barman), Backi and Sonny. Hoping to go back in September. Oh and they have a fab chef!!!!! Thanks for a great holiday guys, see you all soon xx

My finace and I have just got back from Gumbet after staying at the Bagevleri Hotel for a fortnight....and we had the best 2 weeks of our lives. We met some great people and the hotel couldn't have been better. We are both in our 20s, but all age ranges seemed to enjoy it as much as we did.
The rooms had air conditioning and were very clean, the pool area was always tidy, the food was lovely (we only had one evening meal outside of the hotel, and were disappointed that we hadn't stayed in!), but the best thing about the Bagevleri is definately the staff. Renzo, the Manager, couldn't do enough for us, Sonni was an extremely attentive waiter, and Peter (Ulan) the 'unique' barman made us laugh from morning till night. We have never laughed as much in our lives! They really made our holiday.
Like many people who visit the Bagevleri, we will certainly go back.
See you all soon and thanks again for a fab fortnight. X

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The only reason I gave it a 1 was because you can not give it any lower! Me and my girlfriend went to Turkey for 2 weeks and stayed at Aquafantasy in Kusadasi and then finished our stay in Gumbet for the final 2 days. Aquafantasy was a fantastic hotel and we would recommend it to anybody! However at the Bagevleri there were no end to the problems...
The hotel was noisy throughout the night and the couple in the room next door decided to argue at 3 in the morning after returning back drunk! The pool is tiny, as are the rooms and whilst on the subject of the rooms, these were dirty, smelly, the shower didn't work properly and there was NO air con, even though temperatures where up in the 30's!
I would never return to this hotel again! Not even if I was paid to do so! If you can afford decent hotels, then stay in them! 2 star! Not likely! This hotel isn't even worth 1 star!

Well want can I say what a friendly family hotel. This was our ninth year in Gumbet and our third staying at this hotel.
The hotel is situated close in the centre of Gumbet, but in saying that you were always able to get to sleep. There were 3 families in our party with ages ranging from 13 - 68 (from Liverpool and Northern Ireland).
Nothing was to much hassle for Fatima, Hadi and Renzo. The rooms were clean bright and spacious. The maids were in every day and your towels etc were changed every other day.
We had friends staying in another hotel and their pool was tiny so Fatima let them come down and spend the day around ours.
The food in their restaurant is one of the best in Gumbet - their steak with prawns was to die for.
The hotel also organise boat trips with Halil and Mehmet Akbaba, excellent family day out - especially camel beach - the ice cream there is to die for.
Gumbet can be a bit hilly but if you go in early/late season the hills aren't to bad (if you have no walking difficulties).
What more can I say LOVE Gumbet, LOVE this hotel give it a try!!!!!!!

I have been going to Gumbet since 1991 and most of the time stayed at Bagevleri Otel. I have seen many changes there and know the owners well.
I have always recommended the hotel to friends and family and also holiday makers who aren’t staying there. Recently refurbished the rooms have TV. mini fridge. I have stayed in several apartments in Gumbet and Bagevleri is the best by far.
The hospitality is great and warm. Fatma, Tyfun, and of Ziba are my family there.
Bodrum is a great resort but the Bagevleri made all my holidays great.

This was our 6th time at the Bagevleri and 2007 will be our 7th.
Our very first holiday here was a mistake as our hotel had shut early season.
Although originally disappointed Fatma, Papa and Ziba (the owners) Tanju the then Bar Manager, made us so welcome, we returned the following year and again and again...
When we arrive we are made to feel so special and welcome it's amazing and when we leave we feel like royalty, as everyone hotel staff, old friends, newly made friends all wave you off.
Going back every year is like one massive reunion, or house party whichever!
The rooms are so clean, my daughter has almost grown up there, and their birthday cakes if celebrating a birthday or special occasion are not to be missed.
We keep in touch with everyone at the Bagevleri all the time.
A Hotel and an opportunity not to be missed.
Going back September with two more pals itching to stay at the Bagevleri. See you soon.

Absolutely amazing. Words cannot describe the week me and my 2 best mates had ere. From the minute we got there to the minute we left we were treated like princesses.
We couldn’t have asked for anything more than what we had. All the staff were so kind and helping. The waiters and bar staff really made an effort to ensure we were always happy.......Bristol bar!

What a fantastic hotel!
My partner and I were moved here for the second week of our holiday after being disappointed with our first hotel and this one more than made up for it.
The rooms are huge and beautifully furnished. They're so light and airy that we barely needed the air con despite temperatures reaching as high as 42 degrees.
Everything was spotlessly clean, the food at the hotel restaurant was absolutely spot on and very cheap!
Add to this fantastic staff and you get a hotel that I'll find it hard to beat. I'll definitely be going back and can understand why so many of the patrons I encountered there, returned year after year.
Well done the Baglevleri x

Myself and my family and friends have been going to the Bagevleri Hotel now for over 5 years. I would not/could not go anywhere else in turkey. It really feels like my second home. Over the years we have made alot of friends there. The hotel overall is excellent. The staff are second to none, food is delicious and the hotel is clean in every standard. I could not imagine going elsewhere. Anyone thinking of going there - do!!
It will be the best 1-2 weeks of your life the people are just amazing. I am going back myself in 2 weeks as i love it that much. Tanju is the best hotel manager in the world and the staff are just as great, with Zafer and Adem behind the bar and others like Mehmet, Mutlu, Mehmet, and Ozer you are guaranteed to have the time of your life.
