TO be fair the Hotel is not to bad it is basic but
clean and the Manager is very freandly the problem is the Barr that is leased out by the Hotel the music stays on untill 02. 30 each morning after the music ends the dogs start Barking untill it gets light the hotel and surounding Hotels all have Dogs and think nothings wrong with them Barking all night the food is disgusting and for the same price you can go next door and get fantastic food while we were there every night was arguments about being over charged this happend to us and the Manager of the Hotel stepped in and agreed with us We never used the Barr again But dont be put off turkey is a fantastic place we have been severn times and will go again just not to this Hotel

we went last june(2010)..first few days cold then brightened up..apartments are small but basic, staff were ok..food not bad,had to wait around 20 mins..situation isnt good at all up a hill,ok walkin into town but cumin back naa..overall 4/10..wouldnt go back..

Feeling the financial pinch this year and becoming increasingly tired of the hassle of marmaris, the sunset appartments and the resort were a much welcome change.The rooms were regularly cleaned, fresh towels and sheets provided whenever requested.It was obvious that the majority of the rooms had been improved over the winter as there still a small number that still had wooden window frames and were in need of a coat of paint which looked shabby in comparison.The pool area was always kept safe and clean;a regular saturday night barbecue although being the only form of entertainment was friendly and gave the guests a chance to get to know each other.The staff were nothing but friendly and were at your beck and call twenty four hours a day, they were superb as was the food that they prepared and served.Well worth the money and more than a two star rating.

The room we had was clean, tidy and small, the bathroom been very small with the toilet actually inside the shower stall. The pool was very well kept and warmed up nicily thought out the day. Tha staff were all friendily, however the youngest (13) Alper is a star and does most the work.
However we were luckily and were in the block of appartments next to the pool. The other two blocks are not has nice and do come with a lots of complaints. At night and early hours the dogs around the appartment do fight and bark most nights
The location for the appartments are not good, it is in Ovack and not Hisorua, located up a long hill. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk into town to walk back double the time for the uphill climb and heat, we would strongly recommend that you budget for taxi fares (between 7 and 10 lira)

4th time in Turkey, 3rd in hisaronu. Sunset apartments are slightly out the way but a taxi back at night costs 6 to 7 lira. Apartments very clean, small but overall very good. Staff very nice, no hassling from staff like some places in Turkey.
Can't really say a bad word. Usually those that moan about things, moan about everything.
If you've been to Turkey before you will know that some apartments hassle you to eat and drink there all the time. This was doesnt at all.
Good value for money.
Not many hotels have 2 swimming pools for kids.
Kids loved it and made lots of friends

clean and tidy apts, downside bed linen and towels were not changed enough , bathroom was small, up a steep hill staff were all very nice

The time that we spent at the sunset was ok, the rooms were very clean, ok for space accept the bathroom and was not very good for selfcatring! as thier was very little kichen equipment.
The staff was very friendy some could even say too friendly! but they would do anythink to try and con money off you, but it is like that most places thier! so be careful.
The hotel is sutuated at the top of a steep hill, which in that heat is not good and it's quite a walk from the town. lucky enought we had relatives staying closer to the town and stayed there most of the time, my advise would be to find a closer hotel to the town.
The beach is quit away, away and you have to catch a bus witch is about 4 lira each but it is worth it. over all hisaronu is a very nice place and would definately go back but not to the hotel!

My boyfriend and i stayed at these apartments in June 2009 for our first holiday in Turkey. I was a little bit disappointed on arrival however when the sun came out and we explored it was a pleasant suprise. I really liked the hotel. The rooms are basic but very clean. The "kitchen" equipment is a old but works. My only problem with this hotel was the staff. On arirval they were lovely however we felt that if you didn't eat, drink as well as sleep there you pretty much were made to feel cheap and excluded. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was lovely however you can get nicer food cheaper down the hill. Our kettle also broke and was never replaced so we had to use a pan an the two hob stove. Not a bad stay but could have been better.

my over all review of this hotel was nice but the mananger adi is a man who can change at the drop of a hat, he assaulted my wife who has the bruises to prove it then we moved hotels to the hisar holiday club.
make sure you gett a safe, make sure you pay as you go for all drinks and meals at the sunset as they will stich you up with more than you've had, at least 5 people said that they had a bill which was not what they had had or they had been out on a trip and come back to a bill.
please look up reviews before you consider going to the sunset.

we stayed at the sunset apartments last year the rooms are basic.
The rooms were cleaned every day.
The staff are very friendly.
The food in the hotel is great value for money.
The apartments are set on a steep hill but that did not bother us.
Can not say anything bad about this hotel.
We had a great time and are going back this year.
