Have just arrived home after spending 2 weeks in the sunset apartments and can only say they were great. Cleaned every day, basic accomodation, very nice outside area, pool, bar and eating area. The food at the apartments was very good quality, quantity and very reasonably priced, Muzzi and Rambo the 2 waiters/barman will make your stay as pleasant as possible and attic who was one of the owners will do anything to make your stay as pleasurable as possible and any probs/advise just ask. There is a 5 to 10 minute walk down to the town of hisaronu but not a problem.

Just got back... Sunset Apartments was lovely! The staff there are friendly and more than helpful! The pool area was lovely and the food brilliant and not expensive ! The apartment was clean and airy! They are basic apartments but all you need for a holiday! I am not sure they sleep 4, brilliant for a couple though!
The hill is steep but it is nice and quiet at the apartments and it had a nice breeze in the heat!
Def will go back!

One word FAB.........
Just back and really sad to be in sunny Manchester, great staff, food, accomadation is basic but cleaned daily.
Only drawback was the hill, not to bad after a few effes tho!.....
Make sure you go to the barbi/Turkish night as they really make an effort for you, and we even got some turkish lessons at the bar!!.
All in all a fab holiday that we made many new friends (our sendoff was rather drawn out with both staff and guests standing waving untill we were well out of sight and a good lot of photos taken by us all as well!).
Go on, dont worry about those bad reviews as in my case and as you see those of the other holiday makers staying here this year we all had a great time.

i have just got back from turkey and it was freezing when we landed because it was 44 degrees in turkey and it was raining in manchester. i would highly reccomend these apartments they are basic but they have got everything you need for self-catering. they have three pools 1 outdoor and 2 indoor, and the indoor pools are both heated and you can have the bubbles put on if you want. they have a restaurant and bar and the staff are very helpful and friendly. and they put on a barbecue and you definately want to go because the food is great and there is a belly dancer who comes after your barbecue and its just a fabulous night.
i also reccomend the hotel next door called the evita the food is cheap and fantastic the people that own it and work there are fantasic and they let anyone use there pool and internet for free. they have a barbecue every saturday night with an english singer and you can have a good laugh with everyone.
if you want a fantasic and cheap chinese go to the peking chinese restaurant in hisaronu its self the food is fantastic.
i will definately be going back to the same hotel hopefully next year or the year after maybe for longer next time because 2 weeks goes fast when your having a brilliant time.

was a bit dissapointed on arrival but this was dark so could not see the full layout. on waking, we were fairly impressed as have always been on all inc or half board holidays in the past to turkey. the rooms were ok with a front and back verandah, which we liked. we never ate at the hotel but walked down the hill to 'tonys' restaurant, not the 1st one down, but the 2nd on the left. they cooked a full english breakfast for under £2 each, proper sausages too, not frankfurters!
we ate there most nights actually, me having a 22 ounce t bone steak four times in a week! all for under £7. cheaper than in hisaronu, complete with rice, tata's veg etc!
hisaronu good, cheaper than olu. lots of shops, bars. 'swallows' is good, with 'richard' the doorman there, who we know from a few years ago and keep in touch. and the chinese resataurant almost opposite who do a mean feast. we paid 17 lira each for 3 people with the 4th in our party eating free as we told them she didnt eat alot, but we all filled our faces and had extra. this was all you can eat so we had a good deal, also we got a free bottle of house wine which went down a treat. we went there twice. the sunset hotel was reasonable for drinks, only 3.50 lira for a large efees beer. my son had a banging headache a few nights into our stay, i went downstairs, spoke to th chap manning th place and he gave me 2 aspirin tablets for my son, which seemed to do the trick. anywhere else, they'd tell you to see a doctor so impressed with that!overall, an excellent holiday, spent too much, probably in the future would stick to half board at least as the food costs did add up a bit, even tho its still cheaper than the UK. weather in may when we went was a bit chilly in the evenings, would leave it til the end of may maybe in future, but at least we didnt get bitten by mozzie's, which was a plus! and the big storm too, early may, when all the turks were taking pictures of the rain, was awesome. not used to our british weather! i do miss the place. anyway, anyone wants to contact me can, sharonvale37@hotmail.com

I was worried when I read basic but clean in the other reviews, but this description does not do justice for the Sunset. We had a two bedroom rooftop apartment and it was fantastic!
The Sunset has 3 pools, the normal outdoor one and two heated indoor pools, one of which is a whirl pool. It has families and couples yet it is quiet at night and the staff are always very helpful.
It's placed within easy walking distance of Hisaronu and the owners can't do enough for you. We will be returning there every year from now on.
10 out of 10 for the Sunset.
And, of course, no trip to Hisaronu is complete without a trip with Explora. They might be slightly dearer than some of the other operators, but they are well and truly worth it. Thanks Ahmet and co for a great trip to Ephesus and Pamukkale.
Another recommendation is the Han hotel English restaurant, with Billy, their food has always been outstanding, especially the Coronation Chicken Baked Potatoes.
Hisaronu itself has grown exponentially and has improved it Dolmus service. They are now modern minivans with aircon.

Great basic self catering apartments-...

Great basic self catering apartments- all you need is here.
We had a great 2 weeks in the sun- got a great price through Thomas Cook, these apartments are definitely worth the money.
A short walk from the centre of Hisaronu means we could get to sleep at night without all the noise from the busy clubs and bars but were also near enough to enjoy all the night life that Hisaronu has to offer.
Really can’t fault these apartments for the money! Great!

My family stayed in these apartments...

My family stayed in these apartments for 2 weeks in July 2006 and I highly recommend them. Instead of booking through a tour operator we booked directly through the hotel and got a much cheaper deal with transfers included.
The apartments are one bedroomed and have a lovely pool and bar area. The bar has very competitive prices so I was happy to spend my money there.
There is also a restaurant that does snacks and evening meals. There was a HUGE TV with digital so the boys were happy that they got to see all the football.
The apartments are a short walk from Hisaronu but that was no problem at all. They are situated up quite a steep hill but I was glad for the walk after all that lovely food and drink!
We will be back to these apartments next year and anyone thinking about booking should! They are great value for money!
