We have just got back from a week at the Marina - party of 4 adults and 3 children aged from 4 - 11 and were not disappointed. Yes, as others have said the hotel is a bit dated but in one week we had a visit from the cleaner 3 times, beds made and towels changed and a views from the rooms were fab. 2 great pools, beach on the your door step. There are plenty of places to eat around the marina and we went went somewhere different each night and we not disappointed. Would recommend and hopefully will return

if your'e looking for luxury, then the marina is not for you, but if you want great value for money, helpful friendly staff, fantastic location then you wont be dissapointed, we have been going to menorca every year since 1993, and have loved every minute, we have stayed at 5 different accomodations, and apart from the Paradise apartments, which we stayed in when it first opened, all have been pretty much the same, very basic, but the last 6 years we have chose to stay at the Marina, we go self catering and pay extra for a larger apartment, we eat out every night so the kitchen is only used for drinks and snacks, I have never taken for granted that we would be supplied with kettles, toasters or air con, we buy a £5 kettle and toaster from Asda and take them with us, the maids at the Marina are very good, our sheets were changed 3 times and towels every 2 days, the corridors and comunial area's are spotless, and the reception staff are the best we have come across, they are always willing to deal with any concerns you may have, not that we have ever had any problems, thay are friendly and do a great job.
I can fully recomend the Marina, and thats why we will be back staying there in 3 weeks time.

Bathroom left alot be be desired.
Hotel reception staff needed people skills.
One lifeguard sat with his nose in a book listening to music-would he have heard a cry for help?

Happy Holidayers :)

Jul 2010, ste coz

we went in May 2010. The appartments are basic but comfatable as is the kitchen, that didnt matter to us though as we were all inclusive. the food was very "british" but there were also a few spanish dishes. i wouldnt say the food was bad but there could have been more variaty, we found the staff very polite and willing to help us if we needed it. the life guard on the appartments side is one crazy fella had a good few laughs with him. i would stay over the appartments side for the pool they have 3 1 for toddlers 1 with a shallow an deep end and then a very deep 1 for the kids to top bomb and dads if your like me ;) the entertainment is all in the hotel over the road but its not the best but not the worst either there great with the kids. the beach is lovley but can get alot of seaweed :(
we took a boat trip from the marina and it was fab went in an out of loads of coves and dropped anchor for 2 hrs in one, excellent for the kids as its shallow water.
For what we paid for our holiday we were more than happy with what we got we wil defo consider here again should we holiday on the island again.
the only problem i found was the lager only comes in small plastic cups they should at least do pint 1s but thats just me. If you holiday here then i dont think you will be dissapointed and you are gaurenteed to meet people and make alot of friends :) make sure you shop around though for prices of your holiday we paid £300 less than a family we spoke to!

We stayed here for 7 night 28th June 2010 and had a fantastic holiday, The apartments are very basic and you have to pay to hire things like kettles, Toasters etc but as we don't go away to cook it didn't bother us, They were spotless and cleaned 3 times a week, the resort is fantastic and the beaches are AMAZING.....We hired a boat for half a day from the harbour for 200 euros and travelled to all the little coves and beaches and this was the best day of our holiday it is defo a must. The local are extremly friendly and the restaurants around the harbour could not be faulted we had fantastic food everyday, The only place not to eat from is the little hut outside the apartments its all frozen and very over priced. Overall we had an amazing holiday and will defo be going back at some point

Wouldn't go back!!

We returned yesterday (25/8/09) from Marina Apartments in Cala n Bosch, Menorca. I've never been so glad to be home! I read loads of reviews before we booked and really wish I'd not disregarded the poor reviews! I think there must be some apartments that have been refurbished and some that haven't - unfortunately we got one from the 1970s!! We walked in the door and were met by the smell of a musty old caravan and it just went downhill from there. Old, tired tiles and fittings in the bathroom - unable to use the shower unless you particularly like 5 seconds of scalding water, followed by 5 seconds of freezing water for the duration of your shower. The kitchen was unusable - no kettle or toaster unless you went to reception and paid 11 euros for each to hire for the week, no proper bowls, no teaspoons, no tin opener. We found a tin/metal teapot-type thing in the cupboard and used that to heat water and this took 27 minutes to boil!! One evening I attempted to cook something on the hob (which looked like something out of the ark) but was unable to get the pan hot enough to actually cook anything. There were tiles off the walls around the floor, the room was small and by the time our daughter's z-bed was put up, you had to edge around the room as there was no space to move. No air conditioning available in our room but after speaking to others who did have it, you had to pay about 50 euros for 2 weeks air con. Reception did have fans to hire for 15 euros a week and we were so desperate, we had to hire one. The snack bar is expensive - 3 toasties, one plate of chips, 2 beers, 2 orange juices and 1 coke - 30 euros. All the bars around the marina cost a fortune - for a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) we averaged £80 a day on food - nothing fancy, just basic food - BE WARNED - TAKE LOTS OF MONEY AND CHECK YOUR ROOM IS ACCEPTABLE BEFORE UNPACKING. We asked several times to be moved, but just kept being told it was all fully booked - NIGHTMARE - AND SO GLAD TO BE HOME!

This is our third holiday in Menorca and each time has just got better. We were 2 adults and 3 teenagers + another family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. This was the best holiday yet. We had a 3 bedroom apartment for the 5 of us with fantastic views of the meditteranean and the start of the marina, so we could see the boats going out and coming in from our balcony. The apartment was spacious and clean with the very pleasant maids coming in most days. All the staff were pleasant especially Betsy (receptionist) who was American so there wasn't a language problem. There are 2 very large pools, with lots of free sunbeds, that was attended by Paulo the lifeguard who was very aware of everything that was happening so we felt very safe. The only problem there was that there was not enough umbrellas. The marina was just 2 minutes away and had a wide selection of retaurants so we ate somewhere different every night and were never disappointed. The beach was also 2 minutes away and was like a millpond most of the time. The kids found a great bar for playing pool and joining in karaoke. This was the Brittania. It was a great place for us to meet up with the kids. We knew they were all safe there so we would have some adult time and then meet them later. Cala n Bosch is perfect for families of all ages. We will definitely be going back next year. Happy holidays

The studio apartments were large and very airy. The kitchen was basic but adequate. The bed linen was changed twice in the week that we stayed and we could have clean towels as often as we wanted. The pool area was clean and there was none of the usual fight for a sun bed. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The only down side is that there is no air conditoning so the rooms were very hot however you are able to hire a room fan. All in all this accomodation offered excellent value for money

We found the apartment very basic, unclean and it smelt. There were five of us in our group (3 children) and the kitchen facilities were totally inadequate.
We spent a fortune eating out because I refused to cook in the kitchen it was so unclean. The terrace got no sunshine, so when the children had an afternoon sleep we were stuck in the shade.
One of the pools was filthy, no one went in it. I would never stay here again. The resort is fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a young family, but find somewhere else to stay!

Everything about marina apartments,...

Everything about marina apartments, Cala n Bosch, Menorca was lovely, really enjoyable meals and site seeing.
The apartments were clean but basic microwave, two ring hob, kettle and fridge. tea cloth, table cloth, salt, pepper and vinegar provided towels and sheets changed approx every two days. All areas clean and tidy, good maintenance.
No Air conditioning, we had a bidet and the safe deposit box was approx 50 Euros for fortnight but you had 10 Euros returned on departure. You can hire cot, pushchairs, baby walkers, toasters etc at very reasonable prices within the hotel.
I have only one criticism concerning the apartment and that was when my husband stayed up drinking I would either have to be locked in the apartment or wait for him to come in as the door did not have a latch and only one key was provided.
The staff were very friendly, especially the barman Danny and Christina both excellent company and made our stay worthwhile. Food outside was very good but both food and drink are on par with our prices would go back again. A must to do.
