these apartments are basic but clean, which was fine for us we didnt come on holiday to spend time in the apartment, the towels were changed every other day and the bed linen was changed twice in the week that we stayed there, which was more than some of the better quaility hotels i have stayed in. the location of these apartments could not have been better, near bars and resturants, and not far from the beach. you may get a little noise from some people coming back to from the bars late but to borrow a phrase from my mother who is almost a pensioner, "what the hell, who cares, we are on holiday you know".

This hotel was sold to us as Palma Nova but it's actually in an area called Torrenova which is between Palma Nova and Magaluf beaches. Obviously this is something to bear in mind when booking as Magaluf does attract a particular type of person. That said, I found the location fantastic as we (four males, 26/30/35/36) were able to make use of both beaches and bars and restaurants from both resorts. Literally two minutes walk either way before you had access to food, drink or other amenities. The location worked very well for us.
The hotel itself was quiet for the whole time we were there. In fact my friend and I were asked by staff to return to our room while we sat out overlooking the pool after returning home from a bar one night. We weren't making noise but he explained that the hotel policy is to not allow people to loiter in case noise starts. Very pro-active and they've obviously paid a lot of attention to keeping the place quiet. I think I heard noise one during the night but this wasn't really enough to disturb me as it stopped immediately after. The staff are never far away.
The room itself was big enough for four blokes although there was only one bedroom with two singles in (which were not comfortable - my biggest gripe - but I'm fussy about sheets and prefer a duvet!). My two other friends had to sleep on converted sofas in the lounge area - which did make things a little more cramped but not unbearably so. They actually said they slept better than I had on the single although there was occasionally some noise from outside the hotel. The balcony offered more space when we required it. There are rooms whose balconies overlook the pool rather than the street and I would recommend asking for these if you need it quieter.
The place was generally clean although the bathroom was showing a little sign of age and would have been improved somewhat by some attention. Perfectly serviceable but if you're fussy about where you undress then take some brillo pads. The water pressure was good and the temperature fine.
The room was air conditioned and this system stayed on without restriction so you can return home to a nice cool room if you wish. Basic kitchen facilities are provided but the hob was either off or too hot and generally we had more success eating out. Cooked breakfast actually worked out cheaper going out for it after a walk to find a good price. There are many places offer English style food so you'll never be far away from a good deal. Evening meals are also very well accommodated for in either Palma Nova or Magaluf. Generally we had the most success with the beach-side restaurants, particularly Ness and Foxy's on Magaluf beach where we ended up returning to a number of times.
Elsewhere the hotel was very clean. The reception is very tidy and has internet facilities at 1 euro for 10 minutes. There is also always a member of staff on hand here, all of whom I found very helpful and friendly. My friends and I would chat to the staff before going out and all were happy to give us tips on where try. And those tips were generally of good quality!
The pool was generally clean although it does suffer a little from debris from the overhanging trees of the property next door. That said, this is cleaned regularly and thoroughly and it didn't spoil my enjoyment of this facility in any way. The sun-loungers are in short supply and I didn't always manage to get one every single day but the hotel does operate a no reserve policy and they were generally available when required. The water was a nice temperature and the pool large enough that I had no problem sharing to swim properly while others played ball games and used lilos. There is a children's section gated off but this is still quite deep and actually the gate got more use as a volleyball net while I was there.
There is a bar by the pool but I found this expensive and only used it once. The local shop is cheaper for drinks and we were never prohibited from arranging our own refreshments.
There is also a small tourist information shop a very short walk from the hotel from which you can arrange car hire, excursions and the like. We hired a car and travelled west and up the north west coast of the island which takes a day, through Andtrax as far as Valdimosa, ending up in Palma which is also a lovely town. Off road buggy hire is also local in the other direction and I would recommend this for a trip to Portais Vells which is south of your base down some country lanes, opening up in a lovely bay which makes a good alternative to the busy beaches near to the hotel. Our trip there took two hours including a good walk around our new find.
Finally on check-out at 12pm we were offered storage for our luggage and use of bathroom and shower facilities after the beach and the pool on our last day. Again, very accommodating.
We also had been offered use of the facilities of the other Intertur Hotel over the road named Hawaii although regrettably we didn't fit this in. They have a pool and bar/restaurant.
Overall I would generally recommend this to people of my age group or even families. I didn't speak to anyone who had taken kids but I wouldn't have worried had I have taken some. Not a bad venue at all whatever your purpose.

Apartments were cleaned 5 times a week, with new towels and bedding. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very close to bars and clubs and shops, but far enough away for it to be quiet when you needed. Perfect location, great accommodation, nice staff and good value for money. Some reviews have said it was too loud with parties of young people causing trouble but that was not the case when we went. There was a fair balance of young groups, families and couples at the hotel, the pool was a good size though you need to be up early to save a sunbed! Beach was great, clean and plenty to do around the town. Overall a fantastic holiday.

just returned from holiday at waikiki and have to say the place is very clean and tidy, the staff are helpful and friendly, towels changed every day and apt swept daily.
Very central for the beach and the nightlife (2 mins in every direction).
we all had a great holiday. BUT!!! if your wanting a normal family holiday and have young kids this is not the place for you. i have never heard as much noise in my life and we didn't get a full nights sleep while we were there. the single sex groups, (and there are about 50% at the hotel) spoil it for the others.
the walls are like paper and you hear everything. most singles didn't go out until midnight and came back between 4 and 7am lagered up and made so much noise that everyone else was wakened too, Security at the hotel evicted one load of people when we stayed because of the noise they made, it got to the stage we were dreading bed time!! I have to add it was all nations, not just the brits who usually get the bad press.
If you are going self catering i would suggest getting a taxi to the Mercadona supermarket and do a big shop, it'll save you loads as living out of the corner shop will cost you as it would here if not more.
Best meal, Bronze bar, just up from BCM. Scottish family run pub.
Day out, Western park theme park, great for the family. More to do there than Aqualand
Night out, the pirate show, bit pricey, but worth it.

The Waikiki appartments are great if your looking for an 18 to 30 binge drinking holiday but not the hotel for anyone looking for a family holiday.
Unfortunately this was supposed to be a family holiday, with my 4 year old daughter. To say I hated it is an understatement. The problem is it was sold as a family hotel in Palma Nova, but its in Magaluf and suited for the young all night party crowd.
If your looking for a binge drinking all night rowdy holiday, this is the place for you, if you have children and want a resonable stay then FORGET IT.
I was there for 2 weeks, the hotel was OK and the location was right on the boarder between Palma Nova and Magaluf, the pool was ok and the room was fine, the problem is the way they mix the guests.
The daytime was ok, however come night fall it turned into a very different place, whilst I was there we had to suffer football in the open corridor at all hours, shouting and general ASBO behaviour, throwing chairs into the pool contests etc, and the worst side of it was the violence, we had drunken fights and domestic disputes in rooms with the Police being called in the middle of the night. (you can hear everything due to the layout of the place)
I wanted to come home within the first few days, my little girl slept through all the nightime disruption but you were always thinking "what will it be tonight", and the atmosphere was awful due to the alcohol. Had it been a lads holiday then fine, but it really is no place for children, which is a shame as it could be so nice.
I cannot believe I actually payed to take my child into this enviroment, definately didnt get this info from the travel agent when I was sold the holiday.
Palma Nova is nice with good beaches plenty of places to eat, even Magaluf in the daytime is fine, the sister Hawiai hotel is great, they even do as much as you can eat buffet which was great.
I asked to be moved but there were no rooms available in the other hotel til almost the end of our stay.
So be WARNED this is NOT A FAMILY HOTEL in Palma Nova, its a young clubbers hotel in Magaluf.
Families avoid this one, but young groups looking to party all night will be right at home.

Just got back from a week at the Waikiki and it was everything we expected for the price we paid. Basic, but fairly clean and well kept, perfect for crashing out after those long nights out in Magaluf.
Has a pool area that seemed OK, problems for those wanting sunbeds as all are reserved by around 10:30am with towels but there is not a lot of space anyway having said that. They welcome the use of their other hotel facilities over the road (Hotel Hawaii) which seems fairly nice, else the beach is 2mins down the hill.
These appartments are a fairly tame affair, we saw little evidence of any major disturbance/noise whilst we were there (unlike other hotels in the area!), although people should remember this is a party town and people do arrive home from nights out at 5am/7am time and its not really a resort to take the family! A few families with small children were at the hotel, I heard one couple complaining they and their kids were woken at 5am by people talking on the balcony next to them, I have to say though we had little sympathy for them, surely they must have known Magaluf is a party resort when they booked, there is far more cheap deals in family focused resorts!
Would definately use again if the price was right.

appartments were excellent! clean and tidy, spacious and the beds were surprisingly comfy!
we had no trouble with getting to sleep. the reception stressed when we arrive that noise was not tollerated so music had to be put off for 12! or in our case turned down =)
the pool is big and clean, the area surrounding it is cleaned twice a day and had enough sunbeds to do everyone.
never used the pool bar but heard from others it was great.
there IS a pool table and a bit in the reception with couches and machines for kids to use! it also says in al the brochures for this hotel that there is no entertainment but the hawaii across the road welcome the waikiki guests!
the staff are also efficient! i had a leak in the bathroom on the second week, they gave me another room key to a free room for us to use until the guy had fixed it, it only took about 20 mins and he was done though.
the staff couldnt have been friendlier. the maids came in every morning and changed sheets and towels, we got fresh sheets everyday! she would also come back later if u wanted! i also left my mobile phone down at the pool one day and the cleaner had found it and handed it in! usually abroad u would expect to never see it again!
the hotel is within walking distance of everything! a great wee restaurant down the road called Florida has the most amazing food!! and revolutions and chaplins is a must!!
we are returning to the waikiki again in june 08!

First holiday abroad chose Waikiki Apartments. I was there with girlfriend and 2 girls age 11 & 5.
We found apts very clean, maids in everyday with clean towels and floor swept & mopped. We found staff very friendly & helpful.
Food at the bar was excellent and cooked from fresh on the premises.
Entertainment across the road at the Hawaii was great for the girls especially the panda club at night for the little one. Shows were also good for the adults & girls.
Did not use the local buses, as everything you needed was only a short walk away. At night there was places we found that were family orientated. eg. Ruby Tuesdays, Sams fun bar, The Hawaii hotel, Benny Hills & Popeyes!
Also you have Aqualand which was excellent for the girls & also the big kids. And one thing you can't miss is the Pirates Show it is a bit expensive but its worth every penny.
Don't understand why people try and put Waikiki Apts down by saying you can't sleep at night, my 2 girls never had a sleepless night. Can't wait to go back next year same place same apts. Roll on July 2008.

Just arrived back from the Waikiki. Went in a group of 3 lads, 20-23 year old.
Previous ratings are a load of rubbish; it’s not a mad place at all,.
Right next to loads of restaurants, a few decent bars go to OK and Juniors.
Florida is the place to be for food. Would go again and its good enough to take your girlfriend there. Ignore the odd people putting bad reviews for this place.
Awesome.

If you have children who want to sleep in the night, do not go to this hotel.
It was full of groups of men and women who want to party all night long.
There is no entertainment for the children, not even a games room or pool table.m You have to use the hotel across the road.
The pool was dirty and always full of leaves from the overhanging trees. The bar was expensive, 3.75 Euros a pint.
The rooms are basic. The staff do not care and do nothing to help when you complain except say they will sort it out.
If you want a holiday that gives you 7 sleepless nights then this is for you. We were looking forward to coming home that’s how good it was.
Oh yes and I forgot its quoted as being in Palma Nova but it’s actually in Magaluf, great if you are 18 to 30 and single.
Overall the place itself, Palm Nova etc is stunning and I would go there again as we have been there a number of times but as for staying in this hotel again... NEVER !

Excellent rooms, very tidy, daily cleaning of room’s, maids were friendly. Staff were very helpful, beach a stroll away, nice food and entertainment.
Best place I have ever been too I would definitely go again, local water parks were excellent my children loved it, the pirates show is amazing would just go back for the show again.
The entertainment is the best on the island, lots of bus stops which take you in to town. Food always nice were ever you go and reasonable prices too.
All you need for a great holiday.

If you are deaf or in a group of girls or boys this is the holiday for you, otherwise steer clear! If you like more than 4 hours sleep per night, do not go to this hotel. It was like staying in a lunatic asylum!
The beach was closed by the Police, due to a sewage burst pipe, the sea was swimming with raw sewage!
Also jellyfish season - everyone getting stung!
Apart from the thunderstorms and lightening, Palma Nova was quite nice but would not return again.

The apartments were quite basic, had the essentials which was all that was needed when food in the local area is priced so cheap. All supermarkets have British food and there are lots of British bars too. Pool was dirty so didn’t use it but beach very clean and just down the hill. Apartments were in between Magalluf and Palma nova, often noisy at night. TV had German MTV, Eurosport and CNN along with Spanish channels.
Cleaner came everyday and towels an sheets were often changed but didn’t notice any vacuuming while we were there so floor was very sandy! You need to watch out for people selling fruit and cans on beach, you can pay up to 20 Euros if you're not careful! Overall a good holiday and weather was fantastic for October. Would recommend area but would prefer cleaner place to say next time!

Apartments very clean pool bar closes a bit early the noise from the road annoying bring earplugs then no problem.
The location very central to Magalluf if you go left uphill then down by the Vistanova hotel a super shortcut we ate a lot at the canny kitchen and Florida 2. Food excellent. Sadly the weather wasn’t so good for about four days but the apartments had TV channel 15 was CNN news I think euro sport 14 anyway would recommend here for young and lively.
We were here September and we are in our fifties four of us we had a ball hope this is of help to someone.
