" Before booking holiday for 3 adults... "

Before booking holiday for 3 adults sharing one room, I carefully checked websites for this hotel and also checked Thomson Lakes and Mountains web site to ascertain that this hotel did have large rooms with 3 full sized beds. I also asked Lunn Poly to check - all research showed that this hotel did have a suitable room - I did not want an ordinary double room with an additional bed. Holiday was booked via Lunn Poly as part of a 2 centre holiday. First week at lake Maggiore was fine - a large room with 3 full sized beds.

Second week at Diano Marina was terrible due to small double bedroom with twin beds plus a camp bed squeezed in. The room was so small that we had to climb over the camp bed to go onto the balcony. Wardrobe and drawer space was only sufficient for two people.

Complaints to hotel were a waste of time - they said they did have suitable triple rooms but we could not have one as Thomson had only paid for a double room with an added camp bed. This was not the accommodation we booked. I complained to Thomson rep - none at resort - I had to telephone Tuscany four times. She would not/could not do anything and said I should take matter up with a colleague at the end of our holiday.

I have written to Thomson pointing out that we did book and pay for a room with 3 full sized beds - a large room - not an ordinary double with an added camp bed. So far have only received reply stating that matter is being checked.
