Superb value for money! Friendly staff, great food and very comfortable rooms. The full English breakfast is really tasty without being too greasy and the evening meals are spectacular, even when asking for combinations that aren't on the menu. Can't recommend it highly enough.

The Royal Inn in Par, opposite the local railway station has been recently refurbished - and it shows ! The bar was light and modern with good seating, rough-wood beams, and a welcoming staff, and the bedrooms were well furnished, large, well decorated, and quiet - not a sound from the trains at all.
At all times the staff were pleasant and helpful - even when ordering food combo’s not actually on the menu - and the food was excellent. The new dining area is high-vaulted, airy, and very comfortable - and the breakfast was excellent - perfect fried eggs are hard to find anywhere - and these were perfect, along with the bacon, local sausage, and all the trimmings.
The only “complaint” was the doors - they need the auto-closing devices that shut them quietly - and when informed of this, the staff were polite enough to write down the observation . . and I suspect pass it on to their management.
All in all a very pleasant stay, good food, nice people, and excellent rooms - all for £40 per night.

Very impressed with the standard of The Royal Inn. Lovely warm welcome and a 'nice cosy feel'.
The premier rooms are very spacious and everywhere is very clean.
We had a meal in the bar which was excellent as was the cooked breakfast.
A nice touch was the email we had after booking asking if we would like a table to be reserved in the restaurant.
Brilliant place to stay particularly for visiting Eden Project.
Will definitely return.
