The Resort at Longboat Key Club Hotel

We have stayed many times in lONGBOAT KEY and have never found anywhere else in the world that feels as comfortable and relaxed..no crowds but good restaurants..stunning beaches,lots to do,but informal , safe, and no language barrier. We stayed in August at this hotel for the first time and it was a very good experience all round..excellent restuarant and service.( best meal we had there even though you can eat out at a different restaurant every night) But we have to agree with another reviewer that stayed in August..that it was clear... more

This is a great hotel -- on a beautiful stretch of beach on the gulf. The hotel is next to some condos but no other hotels, and really feels very private and secluded. Granted we went during the low season (September), I think even during high season it would feel that way. It has a very nice restaurant and a bar at the pool. It was great for our family (we brought two kids under 2 years...). Also, our room had a washer and dryer, fridge and microwave. Our family has just returned from our annual stay at the Longboat Key Club Resort. We have been very happy guests there for over 6 years and have had many great vacations there. We love this property for its beautiful beachfront setting, large and well decorated suites, top notch tennis, great location and terrific service. We are sad to report that we WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY to friends at this time. June 17-19th, 2005 we stayed at the Long Boat Key Club for a friend's wedding. Overall, we had a very nice stay. The Long Boat Key club features a nice outdoor pool, direct beach access, an outdoor bar, a great fitness area, outdoor dining and tennis courts. The staff was attentive and pleasant. We only ate appetizers at the outdoor bar, but found them to be good and made fairly quickly. Food and drinks are not cheap, but are priced at what I believe to be standard resort prices. We just returned from a beach vacation on beautiful Longboat Key, but unfortunately because of the Red Tide the beach was off limits! There were dead fish littered all along the beach, the smell was horrific, and beacause of the red tide you couln't swim in the gulf. We came to the beach because we love the gulf coast, but because of the red tide we were forced to stay by the pool. If I had wanted to swim in a pool I would have stayed at home. Just got back after spending memorial day weekend at Lonboat Key Club Resort. It was our 3rd time to stay there and the service and location can't be beat. It's located in a private gated golf course resort overlooking the beautiful white sandy beach and blue gulf waters, surrounded by tropical foliage and multimillion dollar homes and condos. you can relax in the morning enjoying breakfast by the pool overlooking the beach. If you stay at the Longboat Key Club, you must check out the fitness center and request a swedish massage. The spa didn't have the most luxurious furnishings, but the service was incredible. I walked away invigorated, refreshed and felt like a whole new person. It was the best massage I have ever had.

The staff??.Well, how much better can they treat you?...........I went there in January for a week and returned for another week.....the manager sent a card with flowers to our room on our return........come on !!!.Breakfast in the room was great.............service all around was very good........even the girls who cleaned the room were wonderful.......I had 8 guest on the deck and had lots of room left over.big decks..beautiful water views and a nice beach.my guest thought the furniture was just fine............very nice grounds .nice... more

the hotel is so nice and the sverice is like back in the 80s.
