Doubletree Lake Buena Vista Hotel

My husband and I just returned from Orlando the beginning of August 2004. We chose the Double Tree Club because the price was right and the pictures made it look like a nice place. I do have to say that the staff was very nice to us. They called a cab for us, took our bags to the room, and also helped contact our shuttle to the airport when it didn't arrive. This hotel was not the best place. We stayed there for 5 days starting June 20th, 2004. I picked it due to the fact that I felt for the money and time we would be spending there it would be sufficient. I was wrong. We arrived well after midnight and had to carry our own suitcases up to the room without any help or offer of. I just returned from a trip to Orlando (part business/part family vacation). We stayed at this Doubletree for 4 nights. I would not hestiate for a second to stay here again. Our family had a great time. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was kind, courteous, and helpful. Pool area was great. Keep in mind that this is not a Disney resort hotel. My 14 & 11 yr old daughters & I just returned from a short stay in Orlando. This hotel was a great location, close to all Disney properties. Rooms were always clean and well-kept. Staff were all very professional and friendly. Loved the cookies! All in all, a great hotel for the price. I would recommend it!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Doubletree Club LBV. I booked the room online for only 44.00! What a great bargain for the Disney Area. Check-in was hassle-free. Our daughter received a great backpack filled with crayons, activity book, etc. and plenty of Doubletree choc. chip cookies!!! I was quite impressed with my room for my 2-night stay. The interior finishings seemed quite new, and the lighting was more than adequate. The bathroom decor was pleasing and the amenities provided were very nice (Neutrogena). We had a 2 night stay an our anniversary. Must say that we really enjoyed it. Would go again. Have stayed in the regular rooms here too. But really like the suites.

I booked this room when the on-property rooms were all full. I looked at their website and also some travel sites. It looked nice enough. It was rated 3 stars. It said it was close to Downtown Disney. I paid $100 (after tax) for 2 Queen beds with free breakfast through their website. Turns out they were very untrue in their ads. We stayed here with an internet rate of $55. We stayed for a week and we were very happy with the close location to Downtown Disney. The rooms were very clean, lots of towels, colorful decor, and no problems. It has a small bakery/coffee area and a bar. While not luxurious, the rooms were very nice, especially for that price! I would stay there again for a similar rate. The Crossroads Shopping Center was right across the street, with restaurants like Jungle Jim's, TGFridays, Chevy's, Perkins, etc.

We are Hilton Gold, so we were upgraded to a "Kids Suite". The hotel is relatively clean and remodeled. The little Au Bon Pan had some snacks. I loved the location. It is right off I-4 near everything, and the parking is great, convenient and free. The linens and carpet seemed a little worn and tired, but they seemed clean.
