Just got back from the paradise they call Natura Beach. Arrived on the 23rd June 2009 and fell in love with the stunning views and the peaceful environment. It was like having your own villa with staff to wait on your every need! We found the food excellent with plenty of... more

We absolutely loved the place! The villa with its own, private pool was just the job. Only one or two minor niggles, but the area is outstanding, the people friendly, they drive on the left-hand side of their pretty good major roads (the minor roads are another story!) and... more

We were very pleased with our holiday. It was a twin centre and the first hotel was Natura Beach Hotel. It is situated in North West Of Cyprus so if you land in Paphos, which we did, it's about an hours drive. The hotel itself is situated right on the beach which is perfect... more

loved it
Location fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. 20 minute walk from Polis which I love.
Laid back and peaceful
Although we have been going to the Greek Islands for 35 years or more, this was our first visit to Cyprus. Many of these islands have been ruined over the years by over zealous commercialism and we wanted to see Cyprus at its natural best. The Natura Beach just outside of Polis on the Akamas peninsula provided just this. The hotel is well run and the owner, who was on site throughout our 7 day visit, is a professor of botany who ensures that visitors enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful landscape. 90% of the food served in the restaurant is grown or reared locally and the staff are polite with nothing being of too much trouble. Although the town of Polis (15 mins walk) has an abundance of good restaurants we found the variety of food served in the hotel was quite adequate and not highly priced, either table d'hote or a la carte. Many of the guests return to the hotel each year because of its tranquility and to observe the wildlife. It is situated in a nature reserve. Whilst there we were able to observe turtles preparing to come ashore to lay their eggs and a pair of breeding kestrels kept us amused with their hunting skills each evening before the sun set over the Akamas penunsula. For the more energetic, the hotel hires out mountain bikes at C£3 per day. Although in our early 70s, my wife and I did this on one of the days and spent 6 fun hours in the saddle cycling to Latchi on the coast and Skoulli in the mountaims , interspersed with a number of stops to pick the occasional orange from the trees by the roadside or share a beer with the locals in one of the many tavernas to be found along the way.
Beautiful, peacful and relaxing
Thank you for all the reviews, booked a week at the Natura Beach on-line and the comments here really helped make the right choice. The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing location. It was really easy to relax and completely switch off. The food is lovely, although the portion sizes are HUGE, Polis is a 10 minute walk away and the town is packed full with fantastic places to eat. If you are planning a trip that leaves you chilled out and smilling, book this hotel, you can't go wrong!
A Bed of Roses
Early May - two weeks at Natura Beach Hotel -After a cramped shared taxi from Paphos we were greeted by a spectacular bed of roses. Natura is about a mile from Polis - we enjoyed the walk -some may not. We were b&b so we sampled the local tavernas/restaurants ,VOMOS was the nearest and the best. Avgi and her girls are a joy and the Kleftico from a clay lemon wood fired oven is the real thing. Local walks are not good and the beach is part sand but fine for swimmers Natura is keeping the conservation flag flying but the villas are creeping closer.Laatchi did not live up to it's name as a fishing port but the new places towards the North are promising. Natura fitness rooms are not serious and the pool is ok but small. Our abiding memory is walking back from Polis in the pitch black with new found friends predicting a hangover and being greeted by the gentle courtesy lighting and the spectacula bed of roses at the Natura Beach. Nice place -shame about the breakfasts.
Fell in love with the Natura at Polis
WE had a wonderful holiday at the Natura in 2003. It was so good that we returned in 2005. The room was spacious and like a new pin. The cleaners did a tremendous job. The breakfasts were enough to sustain us for several hours. No the breakfast wasn,t a "full English" but who wants to have a lovely sunshine holiday and eat food that you can get at home. Polis town was quite a decent walk away and some parts were uphill but there is a smashing cafe on the top of the hill, cool and serving ice cold soft drinks(or beer). A short break and away you go again. Polis town is everything we needed. A typical Cyprus village. Lots of restaurants serving a variety of meals. Having said that, the restaurant in the Natura serves an excellent evening meal where the service is outstanding.E laine the Maitre D runs a very tight ship and the staff are marvelous. We hope to return next year to the Natura. If it was badly run I don,t think we would be returning for a third time.
A true Nature Haven
Our holiday at the Natura Beach Hotel was the best one we had for years. We really appreciated the strong environmental concept and sophistication of this hotel. The orange groves that surround the hotel are gorgeous and so are the olive trees. We were even allowed to join the olive picking which was in full swing when we were there. We also enjoyned the tranquility of the place and our long walks on the beach. We were not brave enough to swimm ourselves but many other guests (especially the Germans!) did swimm even though it was mid-November. The Natura is comfortable and well maintained. Good local food and excellent salads. Young friendly staff. The best of it all: The glorious views of the sea, the bay and the sunset. We shall definitely be returning, probably in the springtime.
Polis is lovely
I have just come back from a week at Natura beach hotel and feel like i need another holiday! When we arrived we were impressed by the entrance and the lobby its a shame check-in wasnt as nice, the lady was very blunt and not very helpfull. When we got in our room we found tiles being held on by sticky tape in the bathroom and paint coming of in the room. We were very dissapointed and went to reception and asked to move, we were told there was no other rooms and all the rooms were of equal standards and it wasnt a luxury hotel. This wasnt a good start we had waited all year to get away and it was becoming a big disapointment. We had out eveing meal which was very basic and not cheap and headed to Polis which was a lovely little town. The next morning we were woken by the banging of doors and talking the rooms had very thin walls. Breakfast was very limited and didnt really cater for most people. I only went to breakfast twice in a week as i couldnt face the plain spread that was put out. The gym should be shut down as nothing is safe and less than 10 years old. I am very disapointed as i spent a great deal of time trying to find a nice hotel and it could have been nice but they just didnt want to help. Polis was lovely with great resturants were i had dinner for the rest of the week.
Fantastic
We love Natura Beach! After dropping off a load of people on the way from the airport at shabby looking hotels, we could'nt believe it when we pulled up outside Natura Beach and went into the airy reception overlooking the sea. Their was a mix up about the rooms, we were given a mountain view rather than the sea view we had paid for, but this was soon resolved by the very apologetic, friendly and attentive staff - we were even shown two sea view rooms and told we could choose which one we wanted! It turned after all out it was a mistake by the travel agents and not the hotel. We had two blissful weeks, sitting out on our balcony watching the spectacular sunset each evening was something that will stay with us forever. The food was outstanding,I am vegetarian and my husband is a carnivore so we were in Heaven with plenty of choice for both meat eaters and veggies. Being right on the beach was fantastic and if we walked a little way along away from the hotel we had a strip of beach practically to ourselves. The pool was of a good standard, always clean. In fact the whole hotel was clean and the we couldn't rate the staff more highly. Polis and Latchi are both quaint, lovely towns, just right if you want somewhere beautifully quiet. We loved our holiday so much after a traumatic year, we are going back again next April, and are so much looking forward to our little piece of heaven.
Wonderful Natura Beach
I spent 3 nights at The Natura Beach and would recommend it. We stayed in a the garden wing. There was plenty of room, it was clean, except the carpet was stained, and so was the bathroom. There are patio doors leading to a small semi private patio and sensational views over a large lawn to the sea with mountains to the side. The hotel produces its own produce eg honey, jam, oranges. We stayed ha;f boardthe cost was £26.50. The food was good, but one meal was rubbish, I think the chef was off. The staff were freindly and laid back. The hotel is environmentally conscious, e.g.they recylcle water. We walked The Adonis trail, it was fabulous, we didn't sea a soul for 3 hours. I highly recommend the Natura Beach and the area although I wasn't so keen on Polis.
Loved the Natura, but.......
We stayed at the Natura Beach Hotel in October this year. The approach to the Hotel (down what seems to be a long 'side road') is not too good but the Hotel itself is placed in an excellent position once you have arrived! We had a sea view room and what a view! The sea is literally about 200 metres away and the view of the Akamas Peninsular is spectacular. The rooms are well appointed although the air conditioning seemed to have been switched off centrally during the night (and we needed it despite it being October!) It only seemed to recirculate the room air which was warm! We received excellent attention from the staff except on our arrival which admittedly was at 3am. We asked if a coffee was available as we had travelled about an hour from Paphos Airport. We were told that coffee was not available at that time in the morning! Pity - a poor start and how long would it have taken to make two cups of Nescafe which would certainly have been appreciated as there are no 'in room' facilities for making tea, coffee, etc. The only other 'minus' point to the Natura is breakfast. Someone has decided what it would be right for us to eat in the morning! We would have liked to have made that decision ourselves. Plenty of 'Healthy Option' type food but we would have liked the facility - on occasions - to have had the choice of English Breakfast. There wasn't even any marmalade and when we mentioned this we were told we could buy it from Reception! Notwithstanding the 'minus points', we would recommend The Natura Beach Hotel. With the added attraction of Polis only being a 15 minute walk away, we spent our most enjoyable and relaxed holiday in years at the Hotel.
