It would have been nice to have had the chance to comment on the accommodation. Unfortunately we were one of a number of wedding guests attending a wedding hosted by The Grand who having paid in full were told our rooms had been booked out to some conference delegates! Instead we had been moved to another hotel. If you book this hotel I would recommend that you check regularly to ensure your room booking still stands because you may find yourself in a different hotel altogether. A five star disaster.

Absolutely awful............ A B&B is better than this........... seriously awful. The check in, the room, the friendliness, concierge, breakfast. Awful awful awful should not be advertised as 5 star.

Right on the seafront and with very nice public areas. Attentive staff and nice food although slow service. Very helpful valet parking service.
Room rather small, air conditioning didn't work, shower broken and noise insulation between public areas and rooms very poor.
Overall whilst the hotel itself was nice the actual accommodation was fair only, and was not up to the standard expected of a 5 star hotel.

Beautiful Hotel. Fantastic rooms with very comfortable beds. Brilliant seaside views.
Pool was great and so was the steam room and sauna. Really enjoyed the night entertainment.
Food was lovely however did take a very long time to arrive.
The hotel is very impressive and all the staff were very helpful. Afternoon tea is a must.

The Grand is Situated centrally on the seafront ideal for the Brighton Center. Lovely sea-views in many of the rooms (I had a sea view in mine and it was lovely just to sit and watch the sunset). It has 200 bedrooms all with bath and shower.
The Grand also has an Indoor swimming and spa pool, sauna, solarium, steam bath and gymnasium. The food was excellent, the room was modern, lovely and clean and the staff are very helpful. A lovely hotel for either a weekend break or as a main holiday.

We lie in Brighton and stayed here for Christmas it was the best Christmas. It has really nice BIG rooms I love it we want to go back this year I hope we are it was a fancy Christmas and I met lots of people.
The drinks are lovely loved them you can watch the staff make them while sit on the bar sofa it is a dream come true.

Our stay was a grand disappointment from start to finish. Arrived at 13.30 to be told check in is at 15.00. Have checked the web site and can not find this anywhere. Kept waiting right up to 15.00 before we were given a room! Then the air con was broken but when you opened the window the plant for the entire hotel was right outside. Engineer came to repair the air con but not able to. They said we would be moved to another room and apparently checked 5 more rooms and all had broken air con. Finally after we went to the reception we were given a room at the front that also had a broken air con unit so the noise of traffic kept us awake all night. When I spoke to Sandra Flannigan, a Customer relations manager, she was very unfriendly and said that we "should not expect air con in a five star hotel". That we were kept waiting until 16.20 to actually get to our final room was according to her our fault. The room we did get was very outdated with broken tiles in the bathroom peeling wallpaper in the bedroom and faded brown furniture that only added to the gloom. Plus I am sure the jumble of wires knotted together behind the desk must be a fire hazard Bumped into Ms Flannigan again in the morning and pointed this out to her when she asked only to be told that again this was our fault and we would have been happier if we booked to stay after the hotel is refurbished! Found her attitude rather rude and baffling. Enjoy your trip to Brighton by staying away from this hotel, I know I will.
