Ferienart Walliserhof Hotel

We stayed here for one night only and our two boys loved the facilities (pool etc). The food was ok although the waiter started arguing with us what food we had ordered for the children after bringing us the wrong dish (which contained absolutely no veg as opposed to the one that contained a tiny piece of cauliflower). Some of the staff, in particular in the spa area were very friendly and helpful (eg. took care of the baby which got lost in the hotel's labyrinth).
The shock came at the check out when we were asked to pay a higher amount for the room then agreed on the phone when booking. Somebody had obviously made a mistake. After a lot of quibbling the head receptionist finally agreed to let us pay the originally agreed rate but made it very clear that she was doing us a favour.
To summarise, the Ferienart should be a nice enough place to stay if you are lucky enough to find favour with management and don't think a CHF800 bill is over the top for patchy service.
