I have to agree with Mr Kennedy. I don't think the staff were used to all inclusive residences as they were reluctant to serve you at the bar. The cocktails you receive as part of the all inclusive pack are served in a normal glass with no sparkles; I now this is nit picking but the cocktails look less appealing to drink when others around have the correct glasses to match their drink.
On the positive side we were upgraded on arrival and allocated a room on the ground floor with a private swimming pool that you share with a few others. The hotel wasn't busy and you didn't feel as though you were walking on top of one another.
The hotel is gorgeous and you are practically on the beach which is perfect. The sand is soft and flat and runs all along the coast; as far as you can see. There are plenty of sun beds which you don't have to pay for; all inclusive I think. You have two beach bars but all inclusive are supposed to receive snacks. All you get in reality are slices of cake, sandwiches, ice-cream and apparently pizza: well according to my German friend but we never received this offer. The meals are average but there was plenty of variety's of food to choose from everyday.
The entertainment at night was every other night; if that! But the entertainment that was there was decent enough to watch and it did involve alot of the audience.
Most of the staff are friendly and some just need to get to know you before they speak politely to you!
All in all its a lovely hotel but its not 5 star more like 4 and I think the staff need to accept the English as for some reason they seemed to be more moodier towards us- just a few individuals though!

Last week, my wife and I returned from a holiday at the Mythos Palace, Kavros, Nr Georgioupolis, Crete, purchased through Fleetway Travel Plc, London via Last Minute.com. Hopefully this chronicle will not be released too late to prevent you from making a similar mistake, for unlike that advertised, this holiday was not like any other 5 Star All-inclusive that we have ever been on or would ever care to repeat!
The Mythos Palace presents itself as a 5 star resort and by the brochure and initial inspection you could, with a great deal of imagination, be seduced into allowing them to get away with their description. However the truth is much different! We believe that the hotel has yet to grasp the meaning behind the words ‘5 Star All-inclusive Package’ and provides no more than a 2/3 star holiday at best.
Our room on arrival was either to have been a garden or mountain view, but turned out to be a dark lower floor room, void of any pleasant outlook, with a continual flow of human traffic passing by the balcony. A request for change, led twelve hours later to a replacement room with view of both sea and mountains, but as with everything else, it was provided by payment of an additional sum.
The advertised satellite TV had one English channel, namely BBC World and no music, the mini bar had limited stock at an additional cost and the bed was only half made on several days. Food was served mainly at three timed sittings throughout the day. Outside of these timings limited snacks were available from the bars i.e. stale sandwiches, cake, cut carrot, cucumber, feta cheese and ice cream.
A lunchtime bar meal was available on the hotel beach for an additional nine Euros. During the main meals, All-inclusive clients (The hotel had a mix clientele of All-inclusive and Half Board) were expected to be seated in an enclosed external area adjacent to the main Cretian East – West Highway with its rather unpleasant smells/fumes or inside the indoor restaurant just off this area. Food served buffet style was generally of poor quality, rather bland and limited in variety.
The inclusive activities advertised were virtually non- existent unless you include swimming in the sea or swimming pool and the advertised hotel facilities right down to the gym and jacuzzi were only available at yet another additional cost.
There was limited local evening entertainment every other night. Drinks were restricted to local beverages, with little haste to supply. The hotel primarily catered for Europeans, in general Germans, whom we were surprised accepted such poor standards.
Overall, we were left wishing for an earlier departure, feeling that we had been cheated of our time and money and that we had missed out on what should have been a relaxing care free all-inclusive 5 star holiday and not the 2/3 star HB that we received.
