Having been on lots of already All Inclusive holidays prior to this one, we knew how it all worked, weak drinks, repetative food, onsite rep entertainment (sometimes good/sometimes poor). On arriving to Festival Village the coach dropped us of and we had 2 flights of steps... more

We had a brilliant time. We went for a week at the beginning of the school summer holidays. I booked directly with the hotel and this included transfers from the airport and a bottle of cava on arrival. The rooms were spacious, fairly basic but clean and more than adequate... more

Just back from the Festival Village and really enjoyed our stay. We went self catering, and stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was located just beside the main building. The apartment was very spacious and clean on arrival with plenty of storage space. The staff ware very friendly and the kids club was extremely well run.

waste of money and hell hole!!!!!!!
What a waste of money, dont stop here its a DUMP!!!!! First of all the patio doors dont lock ,you have ask at reception for a 3 inch bolt which you put through a hole that they have drilled in the door! The floors in the apartment are filthy, dont let your kids walk barefoot. We could not use the cooker as there are no dials on the buttons as they are that old. No oven so you cant cook anyhthing of substance,. The microwave was plastered in food , inside and out.! Loose wires under the sink. Windows... more
Great value family holiday
Festival village offered great value for money accomodation. The apartment was massive, clean and well furnished. We stayed on a self catering basis, and had everything we needed. The pool was a bit small, but that was not an issue for us as we went in may. All the staff and reps were very friendly and helpful. the hotel staff spoke great english. There was entertainment each night, with the usual mix of caboret, bingo and quizzes etc. the whole complex is immaculate, and we did not see any litter anywhere we went during... more
Good For A Budget
we checked in at around 1pm on the 27/05/05.everything was fine, rented a safety deposit box for €50.we went to our apartment and it was a bit of a dissapointment.with 3 adults and 2 teenagers there was not alot of room. The balcony was completly useless no sun shine at all because of the balcony above.the t.v was usless with only one english channel,CNN.The pool was on the small side and the air conditiong completely useless.the entertainment was rubbish(bingo all week long) and the food was too.the bathroom door kept on getting stuck and... more
Nothing really new to add.
Not alot to say that hasn't already been said. If you fancy a week of English louts getting pissed and playing bingo, and having obnoxious children running inbetween your legs every time you stand up then go for it. Food consists of burgers, chips, pizza, or a very average buffet in the evening. (Always the same food.) Pool is tiny. Rooms weren't a bad size, but be carful with regard to the sleeping arrangments. We were a close group of friends on a budget, and decided to rough it a little by putting four of us in the... more
Crap would be an understatement
Starting on a positive note the space in the 2 bed apt was great, 2 bathrooms helped having 2 small children, this I am afraid is the highlight, from here on in the hotel disappears into a cloud of misery, the kitchen was small and useless, the small box in the corner which acted as a TV was only useful if you spoke spanish, the patio door didn't lock so too overcome this the hotel staff gave you a 6 inch bolt as opposed to spending an extra 50c and fixing the problem, on the rear occasion the apt was cleaned?? we found ourselves having to... more
Trepidation
Having just returned from our seven day stay at FV we found the room floors dirty and kitchen ill equipped the TV fine if your only language is spanish, having read the reviews prior to travilling about break-ins we also found our patio doors would not lock so I informed reception and they did indeed send the odd job man to fix these their solution drill through the centre strut and insert 5mm bolt. a bit Heath Robinson but it worked, found as other reviews pool far to small for the complex, food boring, eat out smugglers in cap salou only... more
good value
date of travel: july 06 travelled 2 adults and 2 teenagers Having just returned from festival village appartments i felt the need to add to the reviews that i had read prior to travelling. We did arrive with some trepidation having taken note of some of the negative comments of fellow travellers. However our only disappointment on arrival was an hour and a half wait for our room to be ready, we did arrive at 11.30 am having had an early flight and trouble free transfer. The 90 euro deposit came as a surprise to some of our fellow... more
Good Basic Family Holiday
Accommodation Travel party consisted of 2 adults and 3 children. Transfer from Reus airport straight forward but driver stopped on main road outside FVA – had to haul luggage and man-handle a disabled child and buggy down four or five sets of steep steps - with a bit of organisation bus could pull up outside front door to set down & pick-up but because of parked cars there, this was not possible. Note to First Choice/Falcon/JWT. Please see to this as this certainly does not put ‘your guests’ in the holiday mood !!! After... more
Pretty good
Arrived with mixed feelings as had read reviews. So when we entered the room we where both very surprised the room was clean and spacious, The maids came every day. One night we had a problem with the air conditioning unit on the roof above made a lot of noise they moved us that night the next day we moved back they fixed the problem. The hotel staff where very helpfull and friendly ( shame about the first choice reps). The food didn't look very good though which is not a problem a short walk and there are plenty of... more
minging
its the worst hotel ive ever stayed in, the patio door didnt lock and somebody tried to get in, the food had mould on it , the rooms didnt get cleaned , and no clean sheets the whole week we were there, we had to ask for towels, the chioce of food was very basic and curry every day and night, the staff were not very helpful, and the kids entertainment was half hour of disco 9.30 till 10, they rest of the time was bingo and quizes , and some live show which lasted about an hour, i would not go back ,and not much in the area for kids. more
