What a fantastic time we had!! Marabell the entertainer was great, she made the holiday.
Weather was warm for this time of year. The kids club are really good.
The only fault I could find was lack of choice of meals and drink, as was coming towards end of season. Draught lager ran out as had to have bottles also replacement of food once run out was not so good.
Have noticed this hotel is doing all inclusive next year. Personally I would not do all inclusive at this hotel.
The rooms were very spacious and clean. All the staff was friendly.
I am booking for next year already!

We had the most excellent holiday ever! This was our first family holiday and couldn’t have picked anywhere were nicer!
Met some brilliant people, including the entertainer Maribell, she made our holiday what it was, spoke great English and was always friendly even when she was tired!
The reps were great and always on hand when needed, the room was clean and tidy and the maid service was great.
The one bad thing was the restaurant, the food was crap! Go self catering as the restaurants on the playa are great!

Cannot find words to describe how good a holiday we had. Only back a few days and we are planning on booking soon for next year.
A fantastic complex catering for every age group from tots to teens. Spotless, very reasonable, great food and drink entertainment for 14 nights for everyone to get involved in if you wish.
Activities all day for parents and kids but no pressure if you just want to relax.
If you have kids of any age this complex is a must.

Hotel very clean, excellent maid service. Supermarket well stocked with basics and reasonably priced. Food not so good in restaurant, but plenty of places to eat out just a 5 minute walk away. This walk is down a slope but I took my mobility scooter and almost everywhere was accessible.
The staff are so helpful, just ask. Nice quiet place to go away to no amusement arcades. But plenty of bars to enjoy.
Bus service is very good. Doctor on call speaks English well and is very nice. Allot of mosquitoes at high season. This was our second visit and where not disappointed.
Great kids club. Flag system in operation on beach when we where there. Also Spain do no allow lilo's or tyres in there pools under law for safety.
Thanks to all the staff who work really hard.

I and my husband and our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved this place, we cannot fault it at all.
It’s great for kids and families, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and we are going again next year.
It is a short walk from the shops and beach and other hotels so you don’t get any noise at night time and you don’t get anyone walking up to that part or near the hotel unless they are staying there.
If you take the short walk to town in the evening there are plenty of places to eat and lots of souvenir shops, or you can hop on the bus right outside the hotel which comes around about every 15 mins, and just hop off when you see somewhere you want to go.

When we first arrived we would have given this hotel 10/10 as the hotel was clean the staff was friendly, understood us well and were fast with the booking ins and the rooms were big and fresh and ... perfect.
But... we couldn’t secure the room from the inside which made me worry that my young children might get either out into the hall outside the room or out on to the balcony while we were asleep!
I over came this problem and even then I felt this was still a good hotel and I would have given it perhaps 9/10.
But and for anyone with very young children you will understand what I mean, the evening entertainment was in the open air directly below all the apartments on the terrace stage, which meant it was extremely loud.
Which in turn made getting young children off to bed extremely difficult, as well as making early morning tours virtually impossible as the noise didn’t really stop until well after midnight.
The entertainment for anyone on the terrace was good but for those of us who couldn’t be out there screaming and shouting into the small hours of the morning made it incredibly stressful.
After two days of late nights and early mornings we decided to go back to the room in the afternoon for a nap in an effort to try and keep our children up longer in the evenings but by 10.30 and 3 year old needs/wants there bed!
I think the hotel forgot about their younger guests when they built the stage.

The room was quite nice, staff were ok, lovely swimming pool and all that.
But the downfall to this holiday is the beach directly across from the hotel has absolutely no lifeguard or flag system. It is not an ideal place to be with children as it is extremely dangerous. Mosquitoes are also everywhere.

Clean hotel, restaurant is rubbish. It is a little walk to other bars and restaurants but on the way back, it is up hill.
Entertainment team are brill very friendly and brill English no problems.
Pools are a good size but 2 are fairly deep and cold.
Rooms are a good size and big balconies, supermarket on site is a little small on choices.

What can we say except this was the best holiday we had been on.
The Puerto Marina was fantastic. The staff were lovely, the hotel is spotless, and the views are beautiful.
Our apartment was overlooking the pools, sea and mountains not that this was out of the ordinary as all apartments had the same.
The hotel is situated just out of town, about a five minute walk and you’re in the heart of everything. The local ice-cream bar was to die for the food is gorgeous.
The local town which was up on the hilltop was breathtaking.
I would definitely recommend this holiday for any family, couple, or group. You will come away wanting to go back every year.

We stayed in the Puerto Marina Hotel. The hotel is excellent. We had maid service every day except Sundays. The rooms were big and spacious, with great views. Two fairly big pools, and kids paddling pool. There were the usual bed huggers, but not a big problem as there were loads of beds available.
We were on the 1st floor just over the pool and stage area. This area closes at midnight, but if you wanted more entertainment there was karaoke in the main bar until 1.00. The kids clubs were excellent, with loads of activities. However, evening entertainment a bit painful, the Reps are certainly not chosen for their singing! Buffet from 12 to 15 euro. There is a computer room for kids, with 5 machines capable of being connected so 5 kids can play each other in a game. 50 cent for 15 minutes, great value.
The village of Mojacar is not to be missed. The bus service around the resort is great, for 1.20 you can get from one end of the resort to the other, and it runs every 20/30 minutes.
The only problem we encountered was that most restaurants do not take VISA or LASER cards, cash only.
We can recommend the pizza restaurant in the village of Mojacar. At night the restaurant is moved to the roof, with fabulous views of the village and beyond. Very reasonable, and they do take credit cards.
Mojacar is a good choice for families. The resort is fairly new, but there is a huge amount of building going on, so in the next 4/5 years it will become very commercialised. Get there before it does.

The Puerto Marina Hotel in Mojacar, Almeria, mainland Spain is an excellent choice for families with young children. The apartments are excellent and have all the facilities you would expect of a four star hotel. The pool area is great, there are two large pools and one children’s pool. There is plenty of night and day time activity programmes for adults and children to take part in. The resort is large although its not really geared up for those who enjoy a lively nightlife. e.g. nightclubs. The beach is only a 5 minute stroll from the hotel.

What a brilliant holiday, met some great people. Accomodation was really spacious and clean with good views from balcony. The entertainment was good, Marbelle was really good, spoke good english and could not do enough for you. Weather was brilliant which always helps. The First Choice reps were great.
The only down side to the holiday was food not good to eat at night. Lunch time was ok. They ran out of draught lager as the accomodation was closing on the 18th Oct so they didn't stock up. The supermarket did not have a good choice as again near end of season. Overall a fantastic holiday cant wait to go back.
