" Great Place to Stay!!!! "

The Villa Tagoro is a great place to stay for families and couples. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do and whilst the entertainment is a bit of a mixed bag some of the acts this year were very good. You just can't please everyone!!
The apartments are very clean and spacious. They are cleaned everyday and towels changed daily too.
Can't get over the people who moan about the food though. There is always plenty to choose from and just can't see what there problem is. There is a good variety and plenty of choice.
This was the third time we have stayed at the Villa Tagoro in the last six years and would not hesistate to go back. It only seems to get better.

Advice: We love it here there is something for everyone

Activities: Don't miss Siam Park is a must!! Would give Aqualand a miss tho is old and dated now.

Good for: Beach

" Brilliant Holiday "

Just returned from a weeks holiday and just had to add a review. After reading other peoples comments on the hotel we were a bit apprehensive about going. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday. We arrived late and were checked in quickly and given packed lunches containing rolls, cold meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, water and fruit juice. The rooms were huge and had a massive balcony. They were clean and remained so during the holiday as the maid service was daily. The food was excellent and there was plenty to choose from so there is no need for your meals to be repetative. My family are fussy eaters and we had no problem finding something to satify them. The pool area was clean and there is loads of room for sunbeds. The staff were friendly and always happy to help. My brother had a birthday while we were there and he was given a bottle of chamapagne and a platter of fruit by the hotel. Would recommed a visit to Siam Park it's amazing and a great day out. Also the dolphin show at Aqualand is well worth a visit. Overall we loved this hotel and would definately have another holiday there.

" fantastic "

Just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay at villa togoro and i must say i thought it was excellent, welcomed on arrival with a packed lunch containing sandwiches, fruit and water which was well needed at 1am , the room was a good size with a huge balcony very clean , cleaned and fresh towels left every day.
the food was excellent plenty of choice even for my fussy 4 yr old.
nice big pool very clean , little pool to the back of the complex which is nice and quiet.
The only thing that drove me mad is that sun loungers were all taken round the little pool by 8am, so if you have little ones and want a spot near the pool you may have to be up early. Aqualand just 15 mins walk away £24 uros per adult and 17 for kids but you can return a second time for 8 each.
The hotel is on a hill and in heat it is a bit of a killer but there is a free bus to and from the hotel every hour,
Evening entertainment was good but childrens disco music is a bit repetative, all inc ends at 11pm but the bar is open till 1am.
All staff are very friendly and happy to help.
in our party were 4 adults and 2 children and all found this hotel excellent we would love to return .

Advice: quet but plenty of bars and resturants, lovely beaches

" great hotel, bad food "

we have just returned from a 2 weeks stay at villa tagoro. everything about the apartments is fantastic except for the food. i very rarely moan about anything but since im british i have to find something to moan about! sadly with the food, the choice wasnt brilliant, i could have coped with this had the quality been better. the meat was fatty or full of grissle, the pasta/rice was mushy, chips were good but not with every meal! although if you like fish then this place is great for it. we ended up eating out at the end of our holiday because we were so sick of the food. i have never done all inclusive before so to be fair i have nothing to compare the food to.
the staff are fab and very friendly! i cannot fault them at all. great place for families and couples who like a quiet holiday.
loro park is a must, as are the submarine safari and siam park.

Advice: beaches are lovely

Activities: slow boat chinese is really good

" brilliant time "

we have just returned from a two week break at villa tagoro. To be honest we were very aprehensive after reading a lot of the reviews but, there was no need.We really had a great time, we found the food really good, admittedly it was abit samey the second week, but there was always something that we liked. Our room was spotless and the domestic service was excellent, all the staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. the entertainment did repeat its self the second week but we still found it ok and unlike some other reviewers we obviously managed to enjoy each others company enough not to mind the repetativeness after all it is a fairly cheap holiday. we have previously been to more expensive hotels and fund the entertainment boring! I really just cant understand how anyone can feel that this place was so bad and we seemed to be there at the same time - early june. My kids are 14 (boy and girl) and they thought the entertainment really good, even the not so good acts, we could laugh about them. So really if you are not a food snob and want a nice relaxing holiday then please dont listen to all the moans, it really is NOT as they say. We are waiting on the 2010 holidays to come out to book for next year.

" worst holiday ever "

i have just come back from this hotel, the hotel runined my holiday, the food was not fit for dogs, the room service was a poor quality, many of my possessions were stolen from my room. the enterntainment was repetitive, with many nights there being nothing on. i would not advise anyone to stay here.

" family from mid wales "

went with my husband my daughter 14 years and my son 10 years we had nice apartment better than the hotels that most holidays have. it wasn't that busy as it was 1st week in may not that many brits around. the entertainment is done in 3 different languages gets a bit boring. never had to wait for table in restarant and the food is what you expect from all inclusive we always found something to eat even the kids tried food they had never had it didnt matter if they ate it or not they can go and get something different after trying it. the bar staff were fast and never waited long for a drink you are only allowed 2 per person. there is no TV's around to watch sport unless you sit in your room you can pay to watch it there. we went down on the free bus to beach aera and found alot of places to watch footy.
the down side was the main pool. my boy is 10 and not the best of swimmers so when he got in the COLD water the shallowest part was up to his chest so we felt we had to keep watch on him you dont expect kids from 7 years up to be in the toddlers pool but it was full most of the day because of the depth of the water.it does say there are 3 pools but the other 2 up the top are not much to bother with.
a week here was enough we wouldnt go back but thats because we like to try different places each year everyone is different.

Advice: not to far away from playa if you want a trip there

" good place to stay "

Never been here before but a good place to stay, far better than those great big boxes they call hotels. It was very nice being in what felt like a village, lots of low level buildings. Food was fine, bar was good, never had to wait around for food to be ready or to be served in the bar, the staff were very friendly and gave the impression they only wanted help, in fact the only time we realy need any help they could not have been more helpful. Only down side, the bed linen was a bit rough and it was a long walk to the beach (but we knew about the beach from checking on the map), other than that, great. I recommed it.

Advice: nice and quiet, away from Los Americas

Activities: go around the island, or up to Tiede

" really good hotel "

my partner and myself arrived on the 13th march after reading other peoples reviews we wondered what we were going to get. we went all inclusive and found on arrival the hotel is really good, we only went for a week but wished it was 2 weeks, the staff we really brilliant very friendly and helpful. The resturant was very clean and food was brill, i cant understand why other people give it bad reviews, you cant really fault the place at all, the only thing is the entertainment which is more for the kids than adults, but apart from that its good. it took us about 10mins to walk to the beach, but caught a taxi back cost about 3euros, cos the hotel is on a bit of an hill. If you want a kettle you have to hire it but you do get your deposit back same with the safe key and the remote for the t.v. The room we had overlooked the tenis courts and a building site but no work was being carried out on the building site,(they must have been on their hols that week) but it was quite. So DON'T BE PUT OFF BY WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY TRY IT ITS GOOOOOOD. We will be going back there again.

Advice: go try it its a really nice hotel

Activities: we were all inclusive hotel resturant very good and go to loro paraque

" LOVELY BARGAIN BREAK "

After reading mixed reviews I was a little concerend as we normally gor for the 'higher' end of the market and always stay in hotels but with out belts firmly tightened and in need of a break we booked Villa Tagoro via one of the private people on Holiday lettings.com. This was a recently renovated room and was really lovely, very clean and spacious.
As we went self catering I cant comment on the food but the entertainment was comical, everything from caberet to the usual parrot show but still a giggle. The pool areas were clean and well maintaianed.
In response to the negative remarks on here I can only say you do get what you pay for and for £200 for a week for 3 people I was pleased. Yes its not the most luxurious but if thats what you want you better spend a grand a week and stay at the Del Duque!

" Villa Tagoro "

We returned to Villa Tagoro this year after making our first visit this time last year. Again i have to say that from the reception staff to cleaners to catering staff and all others they were all exceptional.
I was very impressed with our room and yes it was clean, no the furniture and bedding was not falling to bits or uncomfortable and the Jacuzzi bath was great. Very multi-national with everybody getting on. Only one embarrasing group who just had to be English(one of them ended up in hospital).
Having travelled to a few other hotels first on the bus i still feel that for a peaceful week this is the best of the bunch we saw.
Only gripe for me was Thomas Cook planning at the airport 12 Thomas Cook flights departing in the space of 25 minutes and all going through the same checkouts, queued for 1.5 hours and then rushed through security and straight onto the plane without time to get a drink or visit the shops or anything.

" Mr D Willaims "

On our arrival the staff were very pleasant and helpful.Room was down in the dungeon. (The only thing missing were Bats). The view was not a good one as it backed onto a large carpark. If you want a kettle/iron or microwave you do have to hire for some reason. There was a large choice of food, but was not always hot only luke warm, (Beware of the flies)Staff in the restaurant were very good. No beachware or shorts to be worn for the evening meal, 3/4 lenght shorts or trousers, they will tell you to change. If you decide to go on an excursion the hotel will provide a packed lunch(to be booked). The pool is large but, be prepared to get your towel on the beds as people start to get there at around 8am to reserve, this is a downside as the hotel does state this is NOT to be done and was reported to our rep. One good show to see if you can is Yohan singing from the musicals, good hot food and as much to drink as you can at the end you get the chance to yodal and win a prize. If you are going for the first time be aware of the brits on the seafront and their scratch cards they will get on your nerves. Overall not bad and not good. Just down to your own taste. Good luck. PS Stay away from the ice could get upset stomache.

" Fun in the sun "

I thought villa tagoro was excellent, The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Our room was clean and very pretty and we had a great view of the pool and it looked stunning at night. The best bit of all is the restaurant as the food was amazing it had plenty of choices and the chef was very nice as he allways made sure i had extra helpings. The entertainment was good only bad thing is that it was the same every night otherwise i loved my time and would defo come back again for some sun, fun and the best cocktails ever.

" Our Holiday "

When we just arrived at villa tagoro we were wellcomed by very friendly staff and even the security guard helped us find our room. One week was enough though as entertainment is very repetative as it does not keep the younger kids entetained for long.
However the surrounding scenery is beautiful and equally so is the villa, the food was okay could have done with more selection though. The freindly staff make your stay good as you are made to feel very wellcome and they are allways willing to help giving direction's and advising good places to go.
Other good points are close to shops and a free bus going to the beach.
We will maybe go back one day but not anytime soon.
