Dream Hotel Villa Tagoro

I and my boyfriend came back from Tenerife 2 days ago and we had a really good time!
The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice for everyone as it catered for different peoples taste and it was not repeated at all!
The entertainment was fun to watch and included a mini disco for kids and adult entertainment after.
While we were there we saw Spanish dancers, a singer, and a snake show in which we held a snake, a parrot show, a musical night, a comedy night, and a showing of the musical Grease.
The apartment we stayed in was very close to the bar and pool which was very handy and it was very clean and spacious.
The pool was big but could get crowded so you need to make sure your up in time to get a sunbed, but I think this applies to most holidays you go on.
There was a good choice of drink and the alcohol wasn’t watered down.
The only problem we had was that it isn’t in Playa de las Americas as it says it is and is a far walk if you want to go there, we walked there one day and it took us nearly 2 and a half hours to get back, but there are free buses available.

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, as I am a repeat client and have always had a good experience.
This time we were able to book the apt through a private owner and loved the experience.
We were able to come and go as we pleased using all the facilities and buying the all inclusive band, when we just wanted to stay at the hotel all day and lounge by the pool sipping on our drinks.
I prefer this to the all inclusive through the Hotel as we can be more independent by booking with the owner and then choosing which facilities to make the most of.
We liked the fact that it has entertainment and facilities such as sauna, tennis court, etc. The kids club was perfect for the kids. Highly recommended for families with children.
Also liked the fact that we could just walk to the beach if we wanted.
I highly recommend to all!

We were able to book this apartment through a private owner and found it was just like staying in a five star Hotel. It was great to have the option to join in all the fun.
Our apartment was directly on the pool making it perfect for the children to run back and for safely and within sight. There is a sauna, tennis courts and kids club it was perfect for our family.
Although we were self catering we were able to buy an all inclusive band for a couple of the days which was great when we knew we were by the pool all day and we weren't concerned how many times the children wanted drinks or ice cream.
I preferred having the choice and being able to come and go as I pleased.
Although the all inclusive via the Hotel sounds good I would still prefer to be slightly more independent by booking with the owner, and then choosing which facilities I want to make the most of when I am there.
Highly recommended for families with children.

After reading some of these reviews, I was quite worried about staying at this hotel but when we arrived all this was forgotten, our flight from Glasgow was delayed 5 hours therefore we did not arrive at the hotel until 3am, and were welcomed with a little pack lunch as we had missed lunch & evening meal, which we thought was a nice touch.
The food was lovely and different options every night, can I just point out to everyone who has read previous reviews, go with an open mind because I can assure you, you will not be disappointment, the food is lovely & there is a wide range available so you will not be stuck.
The rooms were very spacious and the maids cleaned the rooms & changed the sheets every day apart from Tuesdays & Sundays.
The Entertainment Team were very friendly and had a mini disco for the kids with adult entertainment straight afterwards, believe me the shows were good fun
The only downside I would say is the fact that it is situated on a hill, therefore I wouldn’t say this hotel is suitable for disabled or elderly people, as I even was knackered when I reached the hotel & I’m only 26.
There is a bus which runs on a daily basis form outside the hotel on the hour every hour until 6pm; however there are no buses on Sundays.
Myself & my fiancé really enjoyed our time at this hotel, and met some really nice people, don’t worry about staying at this hotel as like us I’m sure you will love it!

We have visited the hotel 2 years running now the week before Christmas. We have always found the hotel clean and tidy the staff very friendly and the food to a good standard.
The entertainment was great but sometimes so funny you just couldn't stop laughing they really tried hard. We are looking to visit the hotel for the 3rd year running and taking friends with us.

I was really worried when I read the reviews, but wasn’t as bad as I expected.
Food was repeated and we were sick of it by end of week, have to pay for drinks after 11pm, and snack bar was left over’s from tea which was crockets, popcorn and fish balls.
It is about 1 miles walk to the beach and was a dangerous walk if you have kids keep tight hold of them as road very busy, and you have to walk over a motorway bridge, however there is a free bus every hour.
The rooms are nice and the maid comes every day.
My kids loved it as plenty of activities for them. There’s a big pool which is very busy but there is a smaller pool with drinks i.e. san Miguel coca cola sprite ect, it’s more relaxed and quiet here as not many people know it’s there.
I would go back to Villa Tagoro with kids, as ideal for them. It is not as bad as some people have wrote, but I have been to better and paid less.

Well we have just come back from a friend’s apartment in Villa Tagoro and we had a great time.
Whilst I do agree with the other reviews about all inclusive, because we booked independently we were on self catering basis.
The apartment had been reformed and we had all modern conveniences from kettle - toaster - microwave - nice crockery - TV/DVD - Safe - Iron - Ironing Board - lovely bed linen and towels.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and it was great as we didn’t pay anything extra for the items.. I know that some friends staying at another complex were charged for their kettle.
The complex is great for couples and families and the pools were just great the children.
I would recommend you book independently and go self catering in one of these private apartments. Talking to a lot of other guests they were not aware that you could do this and they wished they had.
Should you wish to go all inclusive then you can purchase a wrist band - so you can have the best of both worlds.
However it’s nice to eat out then come back for the entertainment at night with the children.
So go for the complex as it’s really great and has everything you need but book privately
I paid £295 for the four of us per week and this is great value for the accommodation we received.

Worst ever! Do believe the bad reviews, the good ones dropped in on a good week.
Food - chicken cooked on griddle do not forget to check if cooked. Beef stew looked like dog meat. The snack bar I’m not even going to put a review on.
Popcorn some nights if lucky I think for the kids but covered in salt, but I’m really unlucky so most nights had left over fish balls from snack bar at lunch. Ice cream only get 1 tub of each flavour when its gone its gone and you have to eat it out of a cola cup.
Pork pork and more pork, only it’s a hard job finding the pork from the fat.
Entertainment Kristina Martin Daniele were really good didn’t like the other 2 but when you see them all day and at the kids disco, you do not want them as your evening entertainment as well for 14 nights. I went for only one, saw this old guy twice singing to the old ones. On the last night he started at 8.30, went back to the room the nightmare was nearly over.
They ran out of vodka twice saw others going to the Netto to buy their own.
Maintenance for the 2 weeks were doing drainage around the pool, horrible smells and 1 day the pool was only left with 1 part open. Cleaning the pool while you are in it god knows what could have been falling into the pool.
There’s broken tiles all around the pool everywhere grates half covered up which we’ve taken photographs of for when we make a complaint to Thomas cook.
I took my daughter to kids club well here goes my daughter was on the climbing frame. I was with her she wanted to jump of and slide down the pole I said no only if I lift you off, as the pole was far away from the frame.
The only good thing about the place was the room and I only got that because my parents swapped, because our room was right over the entertainment, a bit loud 12oclock every night for a 5 year old for 2 weeks, thank the lord.
My parents ended up with having a group of lads next door which apparently were on their last warning when we arrived. 4 o’clock every morning woke my parents up when they were coming in from town partying. My dad went up to reception nothing was done so my parents went to the assistant manager, their resolve was their going today, no apologies or anything so thankfully we were in a nice little corner out of the way.
Only had 1 cockroach in 2 weeks the cleaners and the rooms are the only thing going for dream Villa Tagora.
Oh nearly forgot, watch out on a evening it seems the cockroaches like the evening entertainment, as there’s was plenty coming out on a night across the front of the stage.
Please take my review seriously I’m used to going on 3 star holidays I don’t expect something spectacular but in 10 years of always travelling 3 star abroad, have never witnessed anything like this.

After reading all of the bad reviews before I went to Villa Tagoro I was a bit wary, however I cannot see where these bad reviews have come from.
The place was spot on, it should be a five star. Ok at night the entertainment was aimed at kids, but what hotel entertainment isn't nowadays?
Food was great, as a guy of 24 I am still a junk food lover, therefore I helped myself to the kid's buffet and none of the staff ever stopped me.
Plenty of fun to be had by all.
If you go here and come back with a bad review then you have done something wrong.

A bit worried on arrival having read some of the reviews. Also when I booked into reception they said I didn’t have a room booked. But this was quickly resolved with no fuss.
The complex was very clean and all the staff very helpful, you couldn’t ask for more.
The food was out of this world, just couldn't fault it at all.
I did notice some refurbishment going on and they are lush to say the least when I looked at a finished one, and to my amazement there was one for sale and it was luxury, so I bought it.
Villa Tagoro has everything to offer to all the family so I will definitely be going again
